  1. I'm so confused... So our shields work differently from the Krell shields. And the Gunners basically have to rely on luck in order to successfully carry out a kill at night. That seems... strange.
  2. I asked last turn what happens to excess damage to clarify if the Largos with 4 destructors could 1-shot the damaged Krell. This was Steel's response: Also, this is from the rules, stating it is a night kill that inflicts 10 damage. From what I understand from the rules is that even though the Krell shields count as 3 damage, if it is hit, it's gone. That means if a Poco hits a target first, even though it only has the ability to do 2 damage total, the shields are removed and a total of 3 damage is taken away. @Steeldancer, can you confirm?
  3. "Too many knocks to the head in flight training, eh? Well, can't be helped. I'm not super certain you should be kicked out of the DDF, but it's where I'm starting. Why was it you were certain Rivelda isn't a rebel gunner?" "Gunner turrets can do 10 damage, more than enough to take down a whole one of our ships, shield and all. That's what happened to Yaw(n), after all. But I think the gunners are staying safe, only attacking one of us at a time. Any more, and it'd be too easy to see where the shots are coming from." Rules-wise, elims are only allowed to target one pilot a night, but that attack will go through unless roleblocked by a light lance, as far as I understand. So I'm under the impression the person who submitted the action was roleblocked, or they didn't submit a kill at all. I find the latter most unusual, seeing as everyone submitted at least one action.
  4. Requesting a ship doesn't count as an action, so you would be able to do both. EDIT: Ninja'd by Fura. Also, yes. How rude of you to try to shove Doomslug in your destructor.
  5. @Mailliw73, I really want to trust you. If you're telling the truth, and we actually lynch and then kill an elim, the village would be in such a better position to finish the final elim. My concern, however, is the number of elims. Even if I feel I can trust you to keep your word to help the village (which at this point I think is plausible), there's also the chance we'd be passing the game over to you if we're wrong about 3 remaining elims. This may be the dumbest move I've ever made... even dumber than getting myself lynched on purpose... but Stick. Please give me more reason to keep my vote off Stick.
  6. 1D was destroyed, too I'll break it down so we can copy/paste as needed to keep track. I like Fura's plan for repairs. Hopefully this extended turn will help us work out a few more kinks before we fly again, but we also need to start looking into Gunner suspects. I really don't like the results of the last lynch, as it felt like several people at the end were attempting to keep the vote at a tie. As a result, I'll go ahead and place my vote for now on Drake Marshall. He placed a tying vote on Stick about 20 minutes before the end of the turn, saying he didn't remember what happened when things ended on a tie. It's plausible, since he didn't appear to be around for the portion of D1 when we were talking about the lynch, but it's at least a place to start with analysis. I'd also say that if Drake flips elim, Bard has a higher chance of flipping the same.
  7. "That might be one of the better ideas you've had so far, ." Brenna smirked as she tossed her helmet to the ground crew. "I can help out with Poco 3. Looks like they took a couple nasty hits." She was elated at what happened in the sky. Two battles in and she'd already taken out two Krell ships. It helped everyone actually showed up that time. But something was off. Her thoughts were pulled to the rebels. No one had turned their turrets toward the pilots. Or had they been stopped? Bad Wolf would find out. She could not be stopped. --- As demonstrated in my RP, everyone put in actions but no one was shot down. Very curious indeed. Did anyone use a light lance on a player last night? That might lead us to a possible elim. The other possibility, of course, is they were worried about the Krell invasion, especially since so many ships survived from D1. They might have just focused on Krell to keep base damage at bay.
  8. So Devotary. What about the strange message from Joe/Steel suggesting she's not Conrad? Do you have any additional proof beyond a Seeker scan?
  9. @Lumgol, if you aren't sure of a target, G (counting backward from the end of my last PM, including all letters) would give us a good place to start next round. You could always help through Vin by sharing who you know to be elims during the night turn. The danger in keeping you alive is what Fura said. We don't know how many elims there are for sure. And what if you're wrong and we lynched a villager? Or you kill one tonight? Or both? Then we are so much worse off. Killing you now means we lose people at a slower pace, and hopefully not so many villagers.
  10. Yes, that's a good way to split it.
  11. Sorry Fura, but I think it's time your role was revealed (if it hasn't been already... I can't remember). Fura is a Rioter 2. We agreed last night that she would Riot Stick's action back onto Stick. Stick has claimed to be Seeker 1, which would not give her a reason to survive a night kill. Unless someone decided to protect her, which I don't see likely considering she was high up in Zane suspects, then she was lying about being Seeker 1. We also believe that because a vote was missing from Rath, they soothed away a vote in an attempt to make Rath look more suspicious. That would mean, however, that Zane!Stick would have to choose between protection and the kill, since they can only take 2 actions every cycle and one was apparently used in soothing a vote off Rath. Regarding the write-up, those are mostly done by Joe (who's doing an amazing job, by the way). I don't think he has access to the same information Fifth would in regards to what scheming happens in PMs, so he wouldn't necessarily have known Stick was rioted to attack herself. He may know Stick was Zane, but not knowing how or why Stick was attacked, he probably kept it vague.
  12. "Well, then. I will join you, but we cannot do this alone. Quick, help me up." Era waved her hand for Ford to support her as she climed up on yet another wooden crate. Her knees screamed at the motion, but it couldn't be helped. She did find it somewhat ironic that only a day ago, the Zane had apparently done this same thing, helping her up. "I am too old to go jumping after people in the mists, but you can bet on the Lord Ruler's corpse that I can talk. Now listen up, and listen well. We know Zane's true - well, false - identity. Astick. Ford was kind enough last night to go on a mission for me. I'd rather have liked to do it myself, if it weren't for these old bones. Anyway, Ford went out to make sure Astick didn't harm anyone but her - eh, himself. Why else would Zane 'attack' Astick?" "Why'd he hit a stick in the firs' place? Sounds kinda poinless?" a voice called out from the crowd. Era glared in that direction, but was unable to find the source. "Not a stick. Astick. Zane would have no purpose to attack Astick when we all thought last night Astick might actually be Zane. It'd have been better to just stay in the shadows, and kill off one of the quiet ones. "I implore you, good people of Luthadel. Help us hunt and take down Zane today. Then we will be able to find the servants of Lekal and root them out of the city once and for all." That was all Era could do, so with Ford's help, she stepped back onto the ground and shuffled home, back to her garden. ----------- The red sun was starting to fade as she raked the soil around her precious plants. If only they were green, but that couldn't be helped anymore. What could be helped was the weeds. Era tapped a coppermind to try to identify the unwanted plant growing among her precious ones. The outside world became a vague blur as she sifted through old memories about gardening, until she came across what she needed. A rake wouldn't help. She needed a shovel. The weed needed to be taken out, root and all. Era put the memories back into the coppermind and turned to grab a hand shovel - a full-sized one was too large for her. Something was out of place. Her shovel was there, but her watering can was gone. She looked up and saw a vague shape disappearing into the gathering mists, a silver glint catching a faint remaining light. Someone had stolen her watering can. But why? Era glared and cursed at the shape. Keeping her already struggling garden alive was going to become very complicated unless she could find a new one. And soon.
  13. "Zane. The Zane? Are you certain? It worked? Then we must act now, before he can get away." Era stood - too slowly for her liking, as this was a serious matter that needed to be handled immediately. Zane would not so easily escape her. For though she couldn't run or keep up with him in the mists, she could talk. But she hesitated. Would it be enough? "Ford, did you get a look at their face? For certain you know who it is - or rather, who he's been claiming to be while walking among us?"
  14. I'm pretty certain the write-up was narrated by this guy: This is a very interesting suggestion. It is possible, but that would have meant Zane attacking himself and sacrificing his extra life for a WGG. It's within the realm of possibilities, but I don't know enough about HH's style to say for certain. Also, I don't really have an interest in lynching Mailliw at the moment. Zane is the larger threat of the two MB. I'll wait to hear some results of experiments before I post further. Instead, some RP. --- Era was too old for this. Running around, chasing murderers was a young person's game. But the search still excited her. There was plenty she could do without the energy of youth. She tapped a metalmind, offering just a bit more clearness of mind to weed through all of the problems. Lady Laila had seemed helpful, despite her pretentiousness. It almost surprised Era to learn she'd been Vin - the Mistborn who'd freed her people, turned almost rampaging murderer. Despite the deception, there was still something useful there. She knew more than she was letting on. Era shuffled through the square, waiting for one of her contacts to return with news. It was difficult work, and made her wish she had some strength to tap. It was becoming impossible to store that ability in her old age. There weren't many occasions she had enough strength to store and still function. Such it was for a woman as old as she. A woman who'd seen time tick by, leaving many behind in the dust.
  15. Brenna looked to the skies, klaxons blaring across the base. They had another chance. A Krell fleet was approaching. Her lips parted in a wolfish grin. They would be more prepared this time. She darted toward the launchpad to ready her ship. Soon enough she was back in the cockpit, engaging her acclivity ring. Bad Wolf was on the hunt. --- We should probably start planning now how we want to take down the Krell. It appears 1C, 1D, and 1F can be taken down by ships with 4 destructors (Largos, M-Bot). @Steeldancer, can you confirm the excess damage after removing the shield will still hit the rest of the ship? If you're in a Largo or M-Bot, targeting one of those three would be the best bet. Pocos and Fresas can coordinate attacks on the rest. Regarding Bard, DA said Bard claimed to be able to take out a ship all his own. That's well within the realm of possibility outside of being a gunner considering some roles available to Pilots. I wouldn't say it confirms him to be a Gunner, but the persistent votes on Stick at the end did seem very odd, despite the reason for votes on Stick being flimsy at best.
  16. This is from the night section of the rules. It gives me the impression that the traitor doesn't have to have gained the SK win-con in order to have MBot, but now that they have MBot, if they're shot down they won't gain the SK win-con.
  17. It's the latter half I'm more concerned is not a bluff... That you apparently know all the elims, but have yet to take action against any of them.
  18. I don't like the idea of yet another no lynch. It sounds like a really bad idea. Bard Stick. Sorry Stick. Vote Count: Stick (5) - Sart, Ark, Maill, Drake, Elandera Fura (1) - Young Bard Sart (1) - StrikerEZ, Fura Bard (3) - Stick, CadCom, DA CadCom (1) StrikerEZ (1) Walin (1)
  19. Nothing has changed since my last one. It's a tie currently between Stick and Walin, neither of those seem like good ideas. EDIT: In fact, Walin. Stick was right. A Walin Lynch does us no good. Bard
  20. That is true. What might we learn from a Bard lynch? I'm not entirely against that one, but I also don't fully see why.
  21. 1A was also destroyed. With so few hours left (scud, is it really 2 PM already?!), I don't like that Stick is in the lead. The reasoning against them is flimsy. Even if I do disagree with them about a D1 lynch, I don't think that's a reason to lynch anyone. Same goes for the vote on Sart. The following people have yet to post this turn: @Snipexe, @Cadmium Compounder, @Walin, @xxGaea, @MrakeDarshall I am a bit concerned that Maill, Sart, and Gaea all apparently submitted actions, but didn't post at all. I definitely don't think that's an elim!Maill style, but I can't say for sure on Sart and Gaea. CadCom and Walin posted, but didn't put in an action. To me, that seems more out of confusion that lack of desire to help. Unfortunately, even with a quick review of the last two turns, I haven't come up with anything substantial. Devotary's posts didn't seem to include much in the way of clues about her death and there weren't a whole lot of interactions with others either. I feel this is very much like a classic D1 lynch, rather than a D2. Not having a lynch last time, I feel, has set us a bit behind. Since I don't feel I have much to go on, Walin. Between you and CadCom, I know you were around at least a little bit, and could have asked questions about who to target. It's not much reasoning, but it's something. Vote Count: Stick (2) - Sart, Ark Fura (1) - Young Bard Sart (1) - StrikerEZ Bard (1) - Stick CadCom (1)StrikerEZ (1)Walin (2) - Elandera, (no action)
