  1. Everyone is always confident in their own alignment, even when they're lying. You seem more confident in the alignment of others and the Constables than villagers usually tend to be at this stage. It's throwing me off a bit, but like I said, not worth a lynch yet. You're making good points and are being a driving force for discussion. I don't want to lose that over a gut read.
  2. @Fifth Scholar, not that I'm complaining, but you left me off the list. I definitely agree, though. Without the ability to convert, the attempted kill on Burnt was likely from the Inquisitor, and highly unlikely to be a WGG. That would just be a waste of turns. I'm willing to clear for now, but once a conversion happens, then probably would like a scan on her just in case. I'm going to go ahead and vote where my suspicions were listed last night. Lumgol
  3. Regarding the suspicion Ark used the dagger, I don't think it should be used to condemn either him or Snipexe. He is just brash enough of a player that I would believe village!Ark got a dagger, named it what he claimed, and over-zealously chose to use it on someone. He only had a few option for people with votes on them, and probably wanted to keep the dagger in easy circulation. Additionally, by stabbing someone a fellow Alleyverse player had voted on, the joke around the dagger name would be more potent. I don't like the votes on Gaea, nor do I like the idea of lynching another GMConstable until we can narrow down suspicions. It would be best to actually find the corrupt one, rather than get rid of one based on outcomes. I know this is a bit contradictory to my stance yesterday, but we're down to one GMConstable lynch and we have actual suspicions today. On to suspicions then. Striker does seem like a good possible lynch. His response to everything that happened last turn seemed a bit disingenuous. However, I do agree with Drake. The lack of opposition is a bit sketchy. I don't have any reason to suspect Bard at the moment, so I won't be joining that one. I also won't be joining the Snipexe lynch, as that seems too obvious a move when we don't even know Burnt's alignment. Fura's posts are giving me a bad vibe. His posts seem a bit too confident regarding alignment, but a bad feeling isn't enough for me to want to lynch one of the most active players right now. I will want to go back through and review their posts when I'm more awake (unlike last night). I will need more time before I vote. For now, I'm going to tag people I don't think have posted yet, or have very small post counts. @Bugsy, @Elbereth, @Lumgol, @RayOfSunshine, @Shqueeves. Vote Count: Snipexe (2) - Alvron, Hael Ark (1) - Snipexe Striker (3) - Fifth, Araris, Fura Gaea (2) - Rae, Striker Bard (1) - Drake
  4. That makes more sense. I was misunderstanding your intention. A lot of it, honestly, is paranoia. You're one of those players I just can't ever seem to shake a gut read on. Which is why, I suppose, you're an honorary elim. The other part, more seriously, was I had a major elim reading on you near the beginning of D1 for the voting, which diminished over time with more interactions. And now that I have a better explanation for the votes (though still not one for a vote on you being soothed), I put you back at a solid neutral. Which also means, Seeker, don't worry about Fifth for now. There are more suspicious people deserving of a scan at this point. It wasn't super old stuff, just posted last night. And I'm glad. If anyone else has questions about how I reached my read conclusion, please ask away. Discussion is good, and needs to keep going.
  5. If we learned the alignment of all the players if the corrupt constable dies, lynching them would be an automatic win for village. The only thing it does is guarantee the lynched/killed player's alignments are accurate. Which doesn't help in electing a Governor, as we can't elect from jail. I don't think...?
  6. I take a few issues with your logic here. Joe is exactly the kind of GM to let RNG decide which constable is corrupt, and not pick based on potential outcomes. Also, we do not get to pick which person is selected as survivor. The governor does, and we cannot guarantee that person is village. Not without ledger scans and trust that whomever says the results is not lying. The rule that keeps us from lynching three, from how I originally understood it, was to make us actually think about which should be killed. We can't just cycle through them all and hit the corrupt one eventually.
  7. I figure I should put my votes down. I like the idea of keeping items flowing through the game while we can, and I get that people want PMs. So Joe. As for governor, I vote we don't elect one this turn.
  8. Time for the analysis I've been promising. Spoilered for length. A lot of these are musing as I'm reviewing posts. D1 Vote Count/Order Aman’s lynch: Possible suspects among those willing to join quickly, since it would give them a conversion right away. That would include shanerockes, Lum, myself, Stink. Other points brought up would be someone in the fringe, such as Devotary. N1 One vote on Fifth was soothed. Several people mentioned his vote on himself would be strange unless emotional allomancy was a free action, so not likely Inquisitor. Did Aman soothe? D2 Vote Count/Order N2 In the end, here's my suspicion list of the players remaining in the game. Top suspicions: Lumgol Devotary Mild elim reads: Snipexe Fifth Scholar Neutral: Burnt Spaghetti RayofSunshine shanerockes Rathmaskal Young Bard Sart STINK Slight village: Doc12 Haelbarde Araris Valerian EDIT: If I were the coinshot, I'd probably go after Lumgol tonight. And for Seeker target, I'd say Fifth, just to ease my paranoia.
  9. While I understand the need to keep vote counts either low or high, that also leaves us very open for an elim hammer, especially through vote manipulation. Our best bet would be to focus first on killing the corrupt constable, so we don't have to worry about alignment being revealed truthfully. As for which constable to lynch, I've never been one for PMs so my natural inclination would be to lynch the detective. However, something about Araris' statement made me realize that PMs are very useful for the village, since it gives them ways to communicate and scheme against elims without them knowing. I'd rather have PMs open for that purpose. Lynching the constable general right away might not be a bad idea, as a way to keep elims from using that mechanic to return a player of theirs from the jail. @A Joe in the Bush, if there's no one to release from jail, would no one get the survivor role?
  10. This would be a dangerous move, considering it would immediately put suspicion back on Doc if he were wrong. Plus, Rand's reaction is pretty much what confirmed it for me. A villager would not just roll with it. I hesitate to agree with the new player theory. Rand hasn't been around a whole lot recently, so his reputation might not be as well known to someone really new. It could definitely be someone new to being an elim, though, and who's been around long enough to at least be familiar with Rand's reputation. As for him being a seeker target, I feel that was more because of the claim and less because he's Rand. Though it definitely could be both.
  11. I'm okay with that. Randuir As for thoughts, I should have some more fully formed ones after tonight. Bit of a busy day today. EDIT: I first thought I'd soft-clear Doc, I still might, but Stink brings up a good point. I don't know what happened in the PM chain, so he could be the Inquisitor who was kinda backed into a corner. I'd probably put a neutral with village lean on Doc though. Pending more review.
  12. Of course. I forgot PMs relied on having Tineyes alive. Thanks!
  13. Hey everyone! Glad to have enough time for SE again (though really, it's only been a couple games ). I've skimmed most of the past thread, but not closely enough to assign reads to anyone yet. I'll try to get around to that today. I lean toward probably giving Fifth a village read for being attacked, and what I remember of his posts. I do agree with what's been suggested to Tineye 1. Follow Tineye 2's advice and don't trust needlessly. Rand, I'm not sure I follow why being a bad convert option is a reason to not claim. What is it about tin that causes a problem for elims?
  14. Good game everyone! Congrats to the elims. I didn't really suspect any of you. Aside from a faint suspicion of Devotary for her vote on me. And don't feel bad about voting and killing me early. As I said last game, I didn't actually have time to play. It was for the best I died early
  15. I'll .... pinch hit. I really want to sign up, but life is still a bit hectic through August.
  16. I'll accept this as a compliment then, considering I was a very early target. Well played to the elims. The ghost of Tahree Fields is pleased her brother could not stop the Forgotten. Thanks to the GM and co-GM. It was fun for the short time I was around to play and pay attention. Speaking of which, thanks for killing me early. I really didn't have the time to play in the first place.
  17. It wasn't really a push from Drake that caused me to move votes. It was because Shane posted. Timing looks bad, yes, but Drake called me out before I even got on the Shard again after Shane's post. My vote on Stick was because though I'm not sold on the idea of her being elim, I had a tiny bit more suspicion than anyone else. I was hoping through the course of the day I'd find something more, which is why earlier I said I didn't think it was enough to pursue dismissal at the time. I also had only skimmed votes and thought two people were already voting on Xino, so I didn't think Stick would be in much danger. As it was one of the few votes on active players, I was more interested to see what the potential reaction might be than solidifying a lynch on an inactive.
  18. Shane was simply the last one who hadn't posted without a vote. Timing just worked out for when I could actually post. Speaking of which, Shane I think because of this, I'll go with my gut at vote Stick. I got an off vibe from some of their posts that seemed to downplay potential elim options that if ignored, could cause problems for village. Choosing the birds is the only one that specifically comes to mind.
  19. Now that I've read the rules and caught up on the thread so far, here are my comments. I don't think we should put too much stock in strict role distribution (doctors/trappers being more likely to be N- or SITC) simply because either alignment could have it, and it could be balanced either way. For all we know, there's one on each team. The chance of a WGG is suuuuper high in this game, so I wouldn't consider anyone hospitalized for certain good or evil. Also, the hospital doc could be a useful resource in passing information, especially with limited PMs. I could also see it being easily used by elims as an opportunity to pocket. Mostly what I'm getting at, is be just as suspicious of anyone in the hospital as you would be in the regular thread. I do think it's quite probable elims will go for birds, as they likely have at least one roleless and/or they have someone who doesn't have an action that would be more priority than possibly setting up a PM. Additionally, getting the twin birds would be helpful if they do send someone into the hospital, as that would keep communication open between the elim doc and the person going to the hospital. I'll try to get a vote in later, but at the moment I have a very slight suspicious read of Burnt and Stick. Burnt because they seemed to bring up, yet downplay the potential for a WGG, and Stick because of the part I quoted. Neither of these seem to be good reasons to dismiss someone active on D1.
  20. I probably won't be super active until tomorrow, as today is a bit busy. There's also that pesky problem of I haven't thoroughly read the rules yet. I'll get to that probably tonight.
  21. Welcome, Shqueeves. I'll leave it there for now. I don't have a ton of time at the moment to contribute.
  22. Since Snipexe posted, I'll remove my vote. That leaves Shqueeves.
