  1. Misties have been up to something. They're dropping like flies. No matter. Means more business. More people wanting metal. Good metal. To protect, to kill. I don't care. Just about the iron. More iron. Less steel. But no. More requests for steel anyways. It's in the forge. Nice red hot iron. Not good for tasting. Yet. Copper is ready. So is brass. I think that's brass. I must taste. Yes. Brass. Iron is ready to smelt. Ready to make steel. Always steel. Ow. Hot. Tongs.
  2. Could be he's innocent. Could also be that his elim teammates think he's a lost cause and are bussing. It's also less than 12 hours into the turn. If he has teammates, they could also just be hoping someone else will bring up the "no defense" argument and save him in the next 36 hours.
  3. I had reasoning, I just didn't state it. I was curious, mostly, about what would happen if two in the PM group were pitted against each other in the votes. As Maill pointed out, all of my suspicions rested on that group. I admit, my reads are based entirely on the first half of D1 and all of D3. Those are the only things I've really been able to read so far. But Quinn's posts and many of the interactions I saw were odd. She seemed shifty about her involvement in things, but very adamant that she spoke in definites. Since I saw Maill as slightly more village, I was more willing to exe Quinn based on the read I was getting. I think the effort to save Maill is worth noting, at least. I wouldn't argue with a couple of coinshots taking a hit at him tonight just to see the flip so we don't have to wait around another cycle. Village lurchers, please don't protect him. Also, I would still like a seeker to scan Tani.
  4. Vote count because I'm curious and might change my vote accordingly... Illwei (2) - Burnt, Fifth Maill (4) - TWS, Matrim, Quinn, Tani Quinn (3) - Araris, Elan, STINK Ashbringer (2) - TJ Shade, Stick Dannex (1) - Illwei Nope. I'm content there. Just a little more carbon. Yes. More carbon. Too much. More iron, then. Need to make steel and misties get angry if it's wrong. So more carbon. No. No, more iron. Yes. Iron. Next is the tin and copper. Strong mistie wants more. So much more. Lots of the tin and copper. That one tastes good too. Good copper, good tin. Together great.
  5. [OOC: I'm working my way through the game so far, and am not taking detailed notes. I just don't have the energy for that. Thus, I am just generating gut reads. Those tend to be more accurate for me anyways, so my votes my have little reasoning. I'll try to explain, though, what caused the reads. Current vote count: Experience (0) - Illwei _Stick_ (0) - Matrim's Dice, Quintessential Wyrm (0) - Illwei Illwei (3) - Burnt Spaghetti, _Stick_, Mailliw73 Mailliw73 (5) - Tani, Illwei, The Windrunner Supreme, Matrim's Dice, Quintessential Quinntessential (1) - Araris Valerian Kasimir (2) - Wyrmhero, Elandera Ashbringer (1) - TJ Shade D1 Review I'm going to point out Fallion's Four (great name @TJ Shade) seemed to have all been suspicious of each other D1, but still claimed within a few days of that suspicion? Definitely worried about some kind of elim plot cooked up by Maill to make their machinations look village.... More specifically, a few of the people in Fallion's Four plus those tied to its workings expressed mild suspicion of Tani after her sporadic voting D1. Part of me feels the Mistborn claim could have been an attempt to ease that suspicion. I wouldn't expect that of a new player, but Tani herself pointed out she's played games like this before and anyone would be hesitant to act against someone who claimed village Mistborn and had some ability to at least prove the role. I'm also going to note that Striker in D1 listed suspicions of both Quinn and Illwei, and Quinn seems (if I'm not getting confused) to be one of those mainly advocating for his exe last turn in their PM. Also of note is this post from Bard (bolded mine): It's possible there are elims among the lurkers that were made uncomfortable by this post and put Bard on the list. That death is also consistent with the other low-information kills so far, since Bard himself wasn't super active in the thread. And my concentration is waning. I need food. I think I'm about halfway through D1 review and will return to do more later so I stop skimming. Skimming is bad for analysis. Reads for now: I'll return later today once I've had some food and a mental break.]
  6. Who do they think they are? Inquisitors with those steel eyes? Not eyes. Eyes of metal. Metal I want to taste. But not from their eyes. Gross. Still so much chatter. All the chatter. People bustle about worrying about all those misties jumping and killing. Just mind your business and live. That's my plan. Always my plan. Just give the misties their metals and let them work it out. Yes. Misties needed lots of steel. Much steel. Not inquisitor steel. Just simple edible steel. Cancel the order for iron. I miss the iron. Simple iron. Good for the tasting. Mix it with the carbon and get more steel. Why so many steely misties. Or is it stealy misties? Where did the steel go? [OOC: I'm back and slowly working through what's happened in the last few days. First thought: @Fifth Scholar, your meme is pretty much exactly how I feel. Second thought: Regarding this turn, see image in spoiler. I'm going to use what time I can today to go through the entire thread and start formulating reads, but that's going to be a long process. So for now, gut reads. @Tani: I'm suspicious. It might just be my general dislike of claiming important roles, but I really don't like how open they are about claiming Mistborn of all things after a single errant kill. This could easily be a villager thing, but it almost seemed they were worried that because several people knew about the kill, if they didn't claim, the'd be discovered anyways and exe'd for suspicion of being elim. I absolutely don't think we can trust Tani to be village just because she seemed a little guilty about killing a villager. However, I'm not quite willing yet to exe her just because of what I consider a bad claim. I wouldn't argue with some scans and such. Regarding the whole PM group, it's not inherently bad to have group PMs where you share suspicions or even roleclaim. What happened, though, reeks too much of mayoring to be comfortable. What's worse is that it's semi-mayoring without the village confirmation. Still, we shouldn't exe the whole group just because of what happened. There's no actual guarantee they're all villagers, nor is there a guarantee there's an elim among them. As for the exe on @Mailliw73, I need to review more of the suspicions coming from outside the PM group, because honestly, I don't really trust any of their opinions right now and I think it would be not the greatest thing to follow their lead once again. More analysis to come.]
  7. [OOC: I will be trying to add more non-RP posts, but I've been working and writing all weekend and simply didn't have time to read the hundreds of posts that made up cycle one. So I made comments/gave opinions in my RP regarding smaller aspects of the game. Expect that to continue, as I'm having a terrible amount of fun with this character, but I will be doing a bit more OOC posting in the next few days. Just not anything in-depth yet because I am still at work.]
  8. [OOC, because I can't figure out how to say this clearly enough IC: I absolutely think Ventyl's death was a village vigilante. There was enough suspicion about him yesterday because of his claim which would be very, very easy to keep faking. Why exactly would elims use a Mistborn/coinshot kill to get rid of someone drawing attention away from them? Ventyl would have likely drawn a lot of attention for today's exe, or even a few exes if there was enough dissention. However, a village coinshot would recognize this potential hazard and could believe that Ventyl was just suspicious enough to justify a coinshot kill, especially if it helped stop future cycles of IKYK and false accusations.]
  9. Misties jumping about all hours of the night. Hardly slept. It's back to the metal now. Good metal. Need to cancel that copper order. Too bad. I like copper. It was good, too. The right metal. But that's what happens to voices who talk too much. Some other mistie will buy. They always buy. I'm the best with the metals. It's because I taste it. Taste it, not eat it like misties. Not usually. People don't like misties. Not talking misties. They add confusion. Best get rid of loud misties. Talking misties. Talking voices. Voices in my head. My voices. Lovely voices now, talking about the taste of metal. Steel is on high order. Lots of steel. Carbon and iron. Or the other way. Yes. No. Yes. Iron and carbon. More orders for iron with carbon. But better use would be just iron. Solid iron. Good iron. Tasty iron. Good for the blood.
  10. I wish the voices would go away. Too much chatter. Is it in my head? Or actually happening? They're talking about the gods. Fickle gods. Gods who do what they want because it's fun. Mess with lives. With minds. My mind. Where are the voices? There. Talking about why they skulk about in the shadows. Not proper misties. Talking such. They come in asking for iron, tin, pewter, copper. Forget some people don't like misties. Like the gods. But the gods don't care. Gods just hand out powers to anyone. Noble and skaa alike. Skaa misties. What a sight. They're my best customers. Always give them the right metal. Good metal. Solid copper and zinc and tin and steel. Ones I taste and know.
  11. Too much brass out there. Lots of requests for it. Need to make more. What again? Zinc with copper, yes? Yes. No. Backwards. Copper with zinc. Best not sleep with brass in the belly. Messes with the mind, that does. Other minds too. Don't much like brass. Or copper. Wait. Copper's good. Zinc. It's zinc. Zinc with copper. That's what I'm making. No. Taste. That's what I'll do. Taste. Make sure it's the right metal. Always the right metal.
  12. "Hmm. This Elandera. Don't know her. You're as crazy as me it seems." The metal is what matters right now. Yes. This time it's steel again. Always with the steel. Why does everyone want to go jumping around and jumping to conclusions? They just need a bit more metal in their lives. It frees the mind.
  13. Mm. Yes. That's copper. Mostly. It left the familiar tangy metal taste on my tongue. Only copper did that. Maybe steel, too. But this is definitely copper. That's what that cranky mistie wanted, right? Should be. He was not happy with me. Impatient. He'd get the copper and zinc. Brass, is what they call it. Like they call me mad. Good. This mistie will get what he wants.
  14. Just a touch of copper. That's what I need. Wait. No. Zinc. That's right. Mostly copper, a little zinc. The heat from the fire feels good. Maybe I could just grab the crucible. Ow. Bad idea. I grab the tongs instead and remove the container holding bright red melted metal. The wrong metal. Maybe? Or is it right? I'll have to taste it to know. But wait. Taste only when it's cool.
  15. Iron. No. Steel? Wait... I don't remember. Working with metals for so long... I've gone a little odd. Crazy, I think is the word they use. Sometimes mad. Metals, though. They still need them. And I'm still the best. I think. If only I can remember what kind of metal they just ordered... **** Hello, signing up to my own detriment. Try not to expect much from me, though.
  16. Just popping in for a quick reminder. Content of the GM PM should not be shared for any reason, including confirming actions or alignments. You can still share what action you may or may not have taken and the result of said action, but do not use the exact phrasing from the PM, especially to add validity to your claim. Thus ends this public service announcement. We will now return to your regularly scheduled stabbing playing.
