Shardiversary Update
[It then contained an exact copy of my second Shardiversary post, which has its own status update. Amusingly, I said this in it: “I’m posting it both in a status update and in my blog as a way of transitioning this tradition to my blog in the future. I’ve only done it once before, so does it need a transition and can I call it a tradition yet? Who knows.” They will, of course, be staying in the status updates for the foreseeable future.

If you do this, you absolutely must tell me the first few or at least the first one that you get, it is a rule. (I got energy matter manipulation, which sounds awesome, and solar vision, which as far as I can tell I see literally just seeing normally or looking at the sun or sunlight and being able to see anything.)

Edit 3: It says seal creation and I’m pretty sure it means creation of like, stamp-type seals, as in sealing something but I am purposely misinterpreting it to mean seal creation like the animals because that’s what I thought when I first saw the name and you’re not taking my seals away from me
The Awakened SaladI got Alien Symbiosis, which is the power to gain powers by hosting alien beings in one’s body. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I don’t think I could handle little alien parasites
. It gives you a range of powers depending on the parasite like shapeshifting or otherworldly senses, but... alien parasites. Also there’s the risk of, you know, getting taken over by said parasites and losing control.
Edit (I’m sorry there are going to be a lot of these, this is really fun): Now I have multiple faces? (But I never had a face to begin with, I’m a salad..)
Edit 2: I have galaxy physiology, which is the power to transform into or or have a physical body made up of galaxy. Not really sure how that works, but I’ll take it. I shall make the salad galaxy, which is just a giant salad!
Edit 3: This is the most random grouping of powers ever. Now I have fourth wall awareness, which means I can have the ability to be aware that one’s Universe is fictional, and potentially use this to act in otherwise impossible ways within their fictional universe.
So now I’m a galaxy salad who can host alien parasites, has multiple faces and knows about the fourth wall! Fear me mortals! We should make superhero/villain names.

Random Character Trivia
Because this gives me somewhere to put it so I can reference it later, and somewhere for me to let other people see it, if anyone cares? So this'll just be random lines characters might say, facts about them, etc. in the comments. This stuff may or may not ever be mentioned in-RP, and will be for any of my characters who I think of trivia for. I'll be using the comments for this, but feel free to use them yourselves, if anyone wants to say something or has a suggestion or whatever!

This is the first in a series of status updates containing the content from my blog, Words With Ene. I am relocating it here so as not to lose it when the blog feature is deleted from the Shard, something that Chaos has said he will likely be doing sometime soon. Thank you for bearing with me as I bombard you with these updates.
About this blog: I got bored.
On this blog I’ll write random stuff I want to talk about, probably, and maybe some in-depth stuff about roleplays or characters because I like talking about that stuff.
(Entry #1) Character Development - Deteca
Deteca being able to Voidmake is a good way to see the core of her character development. Voidmaking is using the Void to just destroy stuff. It's not technically evil, but since hardly anyone can do it and those who can are DA, Deteca thinks of it as evil, like Hemalurgy (though that's not precisely evil either, and she somewhat knows that, but it's hard to get rid of prejudices). To me, the significance of her being able to use it is in the contrast. It's just another magic system, but it's one that my character sees as being wrong, and she sees herself as a good person, since her guild was basically founded to do good and be opposed to the Dark Alley.
What she needs to do is find the contrast, recognize that gray areas exist. OOC her development is a way of saying "Yes, we all have our own guilds, but loyalties aside, none of us are perfectly good or bad." Morality is a spectrum, and it's a very subjective one. This is also why I’m going to have her be a DA Denizen in Era 5; the symmetry of having her grow up in that guild rather than TUBA appeals to me. Neither are perfectly good or bad, but she has to figure that out.
(My comment on this entry: I realized I should probably make a note of this - I was bored when I made this, and most of the time I won't be posting stuff here. I'm sure nobody actually cares about this blog, but on the .00000000000000001% chance someone did, don't expect me to say something here often.

“Mmm, close. In most cases you’d be right on.” Ene smiled sympathetically. “These Alleys are their own dimension, basically. Created a long time ago by a group within the Alleyverse, a universe that’s loosely part of the Narrative Planes. Wait, no, Narrative Threads? Universes? Eh, I’m not a scholar on all that stuff, characters and whatever.” She glanced at Rekaerb with a shrug, giving him a moment to correct her if he wanted before continuing. “Anyway, from the inside, the Alleyverse isn’t much involved in the rest of things, and I do believe they like it that way. The connections are there, though, and the Alleys especially are insane enough for us slipping in and out to be a fairly normal occurrence...I’m getting off-track, aren’t I? Hmm. A maze is probably the best way to describe them. A semi-sentient maze filled with anything you can think of, including many eldritch abominations and a bunch of people who’d be indifferent toward doing things to you that you don’t want done. I know how to Alleytravel, don’t worry. Been a good bit since I took anyone else along though.” Her face furrowed in thought. “Rekaerb could get us out of here too, if he’s amenable to it. Or if you like we could stay. Doesn’t seem to be anything dangerous right here.” Ene met Abigail’s eyes again and smiled. “All up to you! Are you okay, by the way? I don’t know what was happening to you, but you seemed somewhat unwell.”
