  2. “Yeah, Bloodflame’s the one,” Redatrick said, tossing a pebble into the water. “Some of them are intense, yeah. This pretty lady, she burned a couple of my former-friends alive. Still, I’m at least used to intense. Worse has been seen in the Roughs.”
  3. “Something I forgot the name of, it had the symbol of a burning skull though.”
  4. “We will be watching regardless,” the Haunt said. “And should you become a problem, have no doubt we will act.” The eerie chill disappeared from the air, marking the Haunt’s absence.
  5. “It was organised by others of our group,” said the Haunt, swirling around the Jackal. “I do not know.” The spirit hovered in front of him, invisible. “And don’t even think of betraying us.”
  6. Lusk saw the turn and smiled, cutting off his control. It worked. “So, could you lead the way?” He asked again. @Grey Knight —- “So, do you accept?” The Haunt Whispered. @Darth Woodrack
  7. Max felt Althea take his hand. I trust you, he replied, unsure what she was going to do.
  8. “Maybe do your trick with the dam again?”as suggested and searched with her, summoning Sethramir and searching with him pressed against the wall for more surface area.
  9. Lusk nodded, looking to the marine for an answer. Looking back to Zokora, he heard the voices echo in his head, the Council, the Righthand. Focusing, he tried concentrating on the link, that binded them all. Like strings. And the thing with strings, was that they could be pulled. Looking to Zokora, Lusk tried his control, trying to make her turn, to look at him.
  10. “Yes,” Wilhelm replied. “I will watch too. I’m not sleeping with the crazy man watching over me. He is an animal.” And you are any different?
  11. “One of us should watch,” Wilhelm said. “But I doubt any of us would feel comfortable with the other watching over us in our sleep...”
  12. Wilhelm saw the cut, he saw the glass shard pulled out and Arun defenceless, like a poor seal. And this cut, all this blood. Wilhelm kept silent while the wound was being sewed shut. He was improving, he hadn’t been able to control his urges before. “She will still need a crutch,” he said.
  13. “The Hunter Shade will protect us!” Someone shouted, though a few people scampered off.
  14. These drawings give me life.
  15. The Shade, or Shez, as Alask has named it, snarled and jumped back as some liquid burned its skin. It landed on its feet some distance, eyes burning red. The creature, it looked like Shez. Shez found it curious, that he could even think at all, that he could even notice that. It was what Alask had called the ‘bond’. Shez could think. But right now such a field of anger permeated Shez, it was hard to focus on anything else. Jumping forward the Shade became a blur in the night and with one pounce it tried to jump at Edahs again, to throw him to the ground. —- Hearing the commotion a few people went outside and yelling pursued. But among that they saw the Shade with the red eyes, the one that had become an urban legend in these areas, systematically killing the gangs that threatened them. And so some of the public cheered. The Hunter Shade was here!
  16. “Yeah,” Max said, looking at the image. It didn’t seem too far away. “Here’s hoping we catch that son of a chull.”
  17. Max nodded. “Looks like it’s the only hint the have, we should take it.” He looked around and cut off his Rioting on Neo. “Which way do we go?”
  18. The Jackal’s phone pinged. Sent to him were the coordinates of multiple Black Crusade bases. “Take them down,” the voice whispered. “We’re sure it is within your skill range. Unless you disagree?”
  19. “Fair point, but which direction? Orientation is also relevant,” Max said. “We could start at the exit, I guess.”
  20. Lusk nodded at the salute. “I don’t doubt it,” he replied. Looking to the side he saw the Righthand’s secretary, or assistant, or something like that. Lusk really needed one of those himself. But, he wasn’t totally without defences, in case this went awry. Along with his harmonium cubes, his Atium-minds and his knife, he also held a pouch by his side, black with a green symbol of a snake drawn on. It was carefully concealed, and yet, if the dark sky turned out to be more than that he would use it without hesitation. “What have you found with the sky?” He asked.
  21. “But if it’s directions, then it would be relative, wouldn’t it?” He asked. “It would be directions from a specific point, which we might not be at.” He thought. “On that map, maybe type in the numbers? It could be coordinates specific to the sewers.”
  22. Lusk showed up, with more people this time. He squinted at the sky and huffed, hobbling forward. He bet this had to do with that PlasmaCore nonsense. He was Currently standing on the rooftop of a large building, Ghostbloods around him setting up telescopic machines and trying to figure out why the sky was so unnaturally dark. Another underling to his left set up a large spotlight, pointing directly at the darkness above. With a nod the operator flicked it on, the spotlight projecting an image on the sky, like the bat-symbol. DO NOT PANIC, it read. Someone had to at least think of the people, how they would react to this. This message would stop mass panic, at least. THE GHOSTBLOODS ARE FIXING THE ISSUE.
  23. “Okay,” Max said. He knew he couldn’t prove whether the second half of what Neo said was true, but the first half was fine. The first half was when Neo hadn’t seen Max’s Rioting with that glowing eye of his, and his mannerisms, how now he just seemed like a normal kid fooling around. “Don’t do it again,” Max said, patting the kid’s shoulder and walking off. I’ll have some Operations guys look into every place this kid’s been to since he arrived here, any contacts he met that could connect him to something shady, he said to Althea. Right after this mission. But now, I really think he’s good, Thea.
  24. Alask saw the woman shoot a bullet to the Shade and it seemed to work. Standing up he saw Lena get up too. And that’s when he realised she was bleeding from the acid, and Alask looked down and he was bleeding too. Already he could feel a tug inside of him, a roar, and he collapsed back down. But there was no hiding it. He’d promised Shez they’d get to kill some people today in exchange for not losing control at PlasmaCore, and he was sure Shez wanted this fight more than ever, the rage boiling inside, Alask’s spikes vibrating, making him feel woozy and making him wince at the same time. And besides, they weren’t winning this battle. So instead of resisting, Alask let it happen, and the Shade flamed to life, dark tendrils waving around and his figure changing, almost like it was made of living shadow, features not seen except for a pair of blazing green eyes, slowly bleeding to a deep red. And Alask became a passenger again as he let Shez loose, praying the Shade didn’t lose control and attack his friends. *^* The Shade growled, hatred at the bloodshedder evident, and with one leap it pounded at Edahs, toppling them both through the open door of the Forge onto the isolated road.
  25. Max nodded slightly. He walked forwards and put his hand on Neo’s shoulder, speaking to him quietly, Sethramir dismissed. “Look, kid, I don’t know why you made me hungry. It might have been a prank. Wrong time for that. But I’m not mad.” He smiled, beginning to Riot, trying to make the kid feel like Max was the nicest person ever, that the kid could tell anything to Max. “But I really want definitive proof you’re on our side, or you’ll be dismissed from the mission. I’m sorry, but we can’t take risks. But it’s okay, if you can prove you’re not out against us then we’ll continue with this chase and pretend nothing happened. Trust me, the father we can get this over with the faster we can go back to hunting that child-killer out there,” he pointed to a dark tunnel.
