  1. Max thought about it, then smiled back. You say it. I’d probably mess it up somehow.
  2. Yeah, I’m up for it. To do both, Roleplay and Worldbuilding help, if you need it.
  3. My worst necro was eight years. It happened all the way to when I was a young and curious user. Who also was a bit annoying. So much so that I went all the way back to the first intro threads and ressurected one. Not even by accident. And the best part? Somebody else got the blame
  4. For the abilities, powers, Investiture topic, I think in the chart ‘powers’ refer to any Allomancy or Feruchemy. And, as said previously, Investiture is just magic in general. So, for example, if you wanted to steal Elantrian-status you could with a Nicrosil spike. So, with Atium (refined). I think when it says it can steal any power, that means that it can steal any metallic art. But that means it can’t steal any Investiture like we thought. That’s Nicrosil, which is (scarily) way way less rare than Atium. And then there’s abilities, which I agree is things like senses, strength, identity. I think spiking someone with Lerasium would effectively be a ‘soul transplant’, putting everything, including the esscence of the person into the body. As we know, if you have a power and spike yourself with the same power, it just enhances it, not overrides it. So by adding this other soul, you’d effectively have two people share one body. What I think this means is: Lerasium allows you to transplant everything about a person, their soul, into something else. And this makes so much sense. Lerasium is Preservation’s God Metal, and using this soul transplant allows you to preserve yourself, putting your consciousness in a spike and switching bodies. This could have some ‘Altered Carbon’ type effects. But, I think that while you can transfer everything about a person in a new body, you can’t transfer their powers or Investiture, which require other spikes. And since Lerasium is essentially grafting your soul onto someone else’s, including experiences, connections, it makes sense your physical body would change to match your previous one, since all the Spiritual DNA is transferred. Or, if it’s shared between two people, maybe the body goes half way and finds a mix of both people. I think we’ve figured out the secret behind the Sovereign’s scars, and I think the eye- spike is Lerasium.
  5. Agreed, Max said, looking around. And don’t worry about falling asleep. After everything that’s been going on, you deserve a rest. He thought about what she said, that it wasn’t large, and realised he didn’t care. They would be there together, that was all that mattered.
  6. Max listened to the woman who'd knocked over the table. She'd said the wedding was cool. "Well, thanks," he said. He was happy people were enjoying the wedding. Keeping back a yawn, he realized how tired he was. Oasis, then Solace, then the Wedding. It was all exhausting now that he'd gotten a chance for the adrenaline to wear off. He watched as Althea turned to him. How long do you want to stay? And where do you want to ... spend the night? Turning around, Max observed the party. By now, most of the celebrations had dissolved into quiet chatter among the guests, and most of the presents had been given. Turning back he spoke over their bond. Most of the party seems to be over by now, he said. We could probably leave now, if you want. Say goodbye to them. He thought about her second question, and after a pause answered. I have a room in the Canton, he said. But, it's quite bare, and not very private. The truth was that his room was more like something you'd find in an inn, alongside 12 other rooms just like it. Umm... you said you had a place? He asked, slightly embarrassed.
  7. So then how would they know what lerasium does? Seems odd that they're not sure about chromium but are sure in lerasium, a god metal which is only available in a few small beads which have probably been removed with the remaking of the world. Well, all of the spike description say what they would do to the victim of the spike (eg. Stealing strength or stealing senses), so following that logic the spike would remove the powers of whoever it was spiked from. Once it's charged, I'm not even sure if the spike would be useful anymore. It doesn't steal powers from the victim, it removes them.
  8. Max was standing there, listening to Althea, his wife, thank all of the visitors. He just stood there smiling like a maniac the whole time. Althea. She was so beautiful when she was happy. And Max was happy too. Hearing a shriek and a clatter behind him, Max turned to see a woman on the ground and a table on the floor. Letting go of Althea’s hand he rushed over. The woman seemed to have gotten on her feet, though she looked dizzy. “You okay?” Max said as he set the table upright again, Rioting focus and alertness into the lady. Turning, he didn’t even need to signal a waiter as one had already come to clean the mess. “Don’t worry about the mess, ok?” he said to the woman, apologising to those who’d had food spilled on them.
  9. Good point. Because if it took all of your futures, then one of them would be to be spiked. And if you were spiked with it and survived (seeing the chart, if you were spiked in the wrist bindpoint you could survive), then what would you be? How would you live if all of your futures were taken? Would you just seize to exist? So I think it might be stealing a single future. But then, how do you make it so specific? How fo you differentiate between becoming the Hero of Ages and becoming the Hero of Ages except you didn’t eat that one cheesecake in that ball.
  10. That makes sense, unless you could see into the future you wouldn’t be able to know whether you’d actually stolen someone’s destiny. The idea of destiny and how you can Spike it is really interesting to me. If somebody had spiked the destiny out of Sazed and put it in themselves, would they have become the Hero of Ages?
  11. “Yeah!” Max said, hopping our of his seat and following Althea to the bearded man. He remained quiet, though. Althea could probably express the gratitude better than he could.
  12. Might steal destiny. Ok, he's just messing with us now . But I find the 'might' so confusing. We know that this isn't some canonical mistake by the in world table makers because otherwise they wouldn't know what a lerasium spike would do anyway, so we have to assume this a perfect table, which means 'might' is true. What does this mean? Does it mean there's a chance of failure when using the spike?
  13. Max happily accepted the ring Althea gave him, slipping it on and admiring the artistry that went into making it. It was laced with the 16 metals and had small gems around its surface. He looked to the bearded man who had gifted it and nodded in acknowledgement. He would personally thank him later. Another man approached. Anthony, previously the infamous Hellbent. He summoned two Shardblades and offered them to Max and Althea. Shardblades. Mythical swords of incredible power. Wars were fought over them. “Please, accept my gift.” Max looked to the Shardblades, and then to Anthony. Althea stood up, and laid a hand on Max’s arm. It was firm. “I won't touch a blade with a dead spren inside. Can you take it?" She spoke to him. Nodding, Max accepted both of the Shardblades. “Anthony,” he said. “This is, it’s far more than anything I could ask for. Thank you.” Tucking the Shardblades away - he’d had to spend at least 5 or so days with them to Bond them - Max looked at the next man who walked up. He gifted a small statue of a man in armour with a sword. Accepting the figure, Max admired it. “Thank you,” he said to the man. “In a world where it’s easy to be overshadowed, this might be one of my favourite gifts yet. I’ll cherish it.” He smiled and placed the stone man on the table in front of him.
  14. I liked the PM chains idea. What was originally supposed to be an idea to make me look village by suggesting it eventually became a great way to confuse the village.
  15. Even though I was dead, I had so much fun spying on the thread and rooting for my team. Honestly, I felt a little like Ruin. "Yes, Lumgol, yesss. Vote on CadCom, you know - no! You just voted on Karn, how could you! Oh, you changed your vote back. Yesss." It was... exciting to say the least.
  16. So, I want to say some stuff. Good game, everyone! This was really fun, even if my lies were caught, which ended up in my lynch. But huge props to Karnatheon and Mail, they pretty much carried the entire elim team, and I am so glad I chose the right elims before dying . Great job, everyone, awesome job to my team.
  17. I typed that up on a phone. I actually wanted to put "Spook is better than Spock" at the end but by entire device froze and crashed before that could happen, so... you have that instead.
  18. Miles' disease-prone behaviour doesn't really matter since in the morning he can just heal to normal, but you're right about Spook.
  19. All the Shards against each other in a big free for all. Alliances and Shard-merging is allowed.
