I was re-reading Alloy of Law when i came across this in the epilogue; Who is Wax's ancestor? I was thinking it was Sazed but the with the non self-righteousness and the fact that Sazed couldn't reproduce it is obviously not true. I then thought about Cett but I think that Ladrian would not have held him in a such a high regard as he eventually decided to fight for the righteous side. Any thoughts?

That would be interesting, but I wouldn't want to see thousands of Nightbloods running around because the forger gave them improper commands, that would be worrying. I'm wondering whether you can convince a corpse that its a lifeless or give yourself a divine breath and awaken yourself.

I don't think so, surely that would contradict the cognitive too much and just be rejected? You might be able to rewrite how you lived your life like Shai did, but actually rewriting who your parents were is a whole different kettle 'o' fish I don't think that it would be possible, or it would take at least a lifetime to complete. i'm ridiculously happy that people on sel that arent hoid know about realmatics. although if it's set thirty years after elantris does that mean hoid travelled to and fro meanwhile (i can't see him sticking around in a place for too long) and i'm still intrigued about the sel/shadesmar flaw and how he overcomes it.

I was rereading Elantris in preparation for the Emperor's Soul and had a couple of questions, i'm not sure whether they have been brought up so I apologise if they have. Firstly has it been confirmed what caused the reod? If it is difficult to travel to Sel could Hoid have caused it when he entered the scene? Secondly, could it be difficult to travel to Sel because of the reod, if the cognitive realm changes could it not be something like the reod changing the aons in order to access the dor but instead changing the cognitive realm a little bit?

I'm not sure, i've only just started learning about shards and such on here but i always saw Sigzil as more of a storyteller than a worldhopper, like (i don't know if you've read it) Kvothe in Patrick Rothfuss' books, kind of like an advanced bard who just happens to know alot of strange stories maybe because he apprenticed under Hoid while he was on Roshar.
