  1. I'd like to point out the tag that says 2 more shades. Other than that I'll post my thoughts in a couple hours. Edit: oh I was mixing up shades with elims. My bad.
  2. I think his reaction in this cycle is pretty villagery. I've never seen him react like that while an elim. That may just be that I haven't seen him as elim enough though and it's partially a gut read which is why I am sort of reserving judgement until the mist flip.
  3. Alright I reread the thread and honestly it just made me even more solidified on Mist. Mist voted last on Striker and it felt quite a bit like protecting a teammate, so currently I think Mist and TGK are teammates together. Conversely, if Mist flips village, I'd honestly mostly consider TGK as a heavy village read. Regardless I think lynching Mist is our best option right now.
  4. Alright, Mist, similar reasons as last cycle. That being saidz I do have growing suspicions ok both BR and TGK, and I'm planning to relook at the series of events last cycle to figure out where/if elims were on the Striker lynch.
  5. Collected all the posts related to Rae. Nothing new, just thought it might be helpful. To get all the buildup out of the way, Mist. I feel like Mist's original vote on Fura was pretty reasonable, and as I said a self vote under different circumstances would get an instant vote from me. What I definitely don't think was super reasonable was the vote on my that came relatively late in the cycle and was just sheeping (I feel like that's a pretty normal word to use) fura. Pretty weak evidence but I want to vote on someone up for the lynch and everyone else seems villagery or neuteral to me. Also can I just say that I kind of hate the logic of people being an elim because their trying to look like they're contributing without contributing? I get that applied to me constantly and I don't think it's at all a valid approach. Especially, in this case, because the votee has only one real post.
  6. Oh shoot, the cycle is over already? Well that's inconvenient. In hindsight I probably should've done the math and figured out it would be ending this morning but for some reason I assumed that I would have a couple hours today to post. Alright, well. That was overall an excellent lynch, considering nobody knew what was going on. @Mist *of the Shard not if the shard. Because on the bottom of the shard (or in any thread) you can see who has been online and also on anyone's profile you can see how long ago they were online. This could potentially be used for proving identity, especially if two people are online at once and nobody else is. It's not perfect but it could help. Thing is that I don't like it and I think using outside sources (outside the doc, I mean) to prove identity is against the point of it, so I'm against that. I'm actually here early this time so I'll post a vote earlier. Or, well, at all. The only issue with that is that after that first post anybody could take those words and use them to imitate you.
  7. ... ok hold up. Re: codes for shade doc identification, that would work for exactly one comment and then proceed to be useless because anyone who wants to imitate that person can just copy the code along with the formatting. Unless we made a huge list of codes so we would never run out, that would never be useful. Plus it feels a bit against the spirit of the shade doc. Also it just occured to me that you could put another code at the end of every message, but no. That would be stupid. Also, quick poll: do you guys think proving identity by using the who's online section is shard is ok or against the spirit of the doc? Personally I'm not a fan but I figured I'd ask for opinions. ... I don't like this but it feels like a fura thing to do, so no vote. If vote on xino for the code thing but overall that's a very xino thing to do, so. Yeah I guess I'll have to read over the thread more.
  8. You got it! Good job. Couple clarifications: there are no reflective surfaces and they can't communicate. I didn't include this, but the standard riddle says that the activist was only allowed to say something that everyone on the island already knew.
  9. Oh shoot I didn't realize this had started! Hi! I'll post something substantial soon.
  10. Oh shoot ok. In that case let me look up the wording so I don't mess up and make it impossible. There is an island with 100 people trapped on it. Each of those people has blue eyes. The owner of the island allows any person to leave each night if they know their own eye color. Each person is a perfect logician and knows that every other person is a perfect logician. Every person can see every other person's eye color at all times and knows whenever anyone leaves. One day, a human rights activist is allowed to come on and speak one sentence to all 100 people. That sentence is: "I see at least one person with blue eyes." Given this information, how many people leave, and on what night do they do so? Fair warning, this has been said to be the hardest riddle of all time. You have to seriously think through it logically. The answer still confuses me when I'm in the wrong state of mind. Let me know if you need any clarifications. I'll edit it and put in a note if I made any mistakes.
  11. Signing up as Aradia, a young woman obsessed with death and shades.
  12. Oh huh, that's kind of a variant of the blue eyed island riddle, although a bit different. I'll post that one if I manage to get the next riddle posted
  13. Honestly I think it was very close to being a reasonable mechanic, despite not actually taking place at any time. With a little tweaking it could change voting in an interesting way. Regardless, thanks Elbereth and Wilson for running the game! I had a lot of fun both in the beginning when rules were being created and over the course of the game.
  14. Took me a while to respond to this, but mostly various modpacks with too many mods to list. My favorites are Thaumcraft, Botania, and a conglomeration of various tech mods that make automation fun. Hmm. I might be interested? Honestly chances are that I would play for a couple days then get bored and move on, but you never know! My username is kidpen if you want to whitelist me and post the IP! Is it just, like, a survival hangout server?
  15. I wasn't paying attention during the cycles after my death, but I feel the need to give kudos to @Straw, because I had no idea you were the Smedry. Ironically you probably shouldn't have have killed me, because I think I would've defended you down to my last breath.
  16. I like Minecraft! I play a lot of modded, especially recently.
  17. Experience. I think Experience seems like a pretty reasonable lynch. Plus I want to prevent a hammer. Also I'm sorry for such low activity. I do feel the need to say that Elandera's posts have kind of been itching at me, but I don't know why. I would be very open to a lynch on her next day. I'll try to look through her posts and determine if there's more to it than just my gut.
  18. So suddenly anyone can invade and wage war without the threat of nuclear destruction? Cause I think that would basically result in everyone invading everyone else at once.
  19. Tonight? Probably Coda, I suppose, if he doesn't die. I'm not convinced on his lynch but I trust the thread to come up with a pretty reasonable lynch at least. I'd like to point out that Ironfire was a complete inactive. I think we should be looking in the more inactive members. I'll be looking through previous threads and posting my thoughts within 4 hours I think. Keep in mind that there's no direct quoting, just paraphrasing, iirc.
  20. I'm not getting involved in the main convo (that's a lie I'm absolutely going to get involved later) but you're absolutely not asking too much. If you haven't seen this wob: So he is absolutely planning to include more characters and protagonists that fall under one of the spectrums eventually, it's just that he's worried about doing it right. I understand if people disagree with me but I think he's doing his best when it comes to LGBTQ+ characters and I appreciate it, even if he's not at a point yet where he's confident enough to write a more major character as LGBTQ+. Ack it's getting real difficult to not respond to some of the above comments but I'll resist until tomorrow when I'm on a computer at least.
  21. Oh heck I haven't posted yet today. I demand a lynch, and am almost indifferent as to who gets it between those two, so StrikerEZ.
  22. ???? Am I misunderstanding this somehow? It looks like an implied elim claim. I suppose it could just be saying that Joe's reasoning is valid but wrong, but that seems unlikely given the response you've had to Joe thus far.
  23. Arthur Smedry looked around in terror. Just moments earlier, he had seen and heard a mysterious apparition within one of his private discussion areas. He could be wrong, but it seemed, perhaps, to have been... The ghost of the 30th president, @Calvin Coolidge! But no, that's nonsense. Everyone knows that the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge, isn't real. Even if he was real, everyone knows that the ghost of the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge, would be even less real then the president himself. But then again, there were all those legends from the free kingdom about the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge. Perhaps they had some truth to them... No, of course not. A scholar such as Arthur had never payed any mind to those legends. The one about the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge, that is. Perhaps it was just a trick of the light. Or a trick by some mischievous person, intending to make Arthur believe that the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge, was haunting him. Yes, that surely is the answer.
  24. Unless it's different for me somehow, you can always sign in with your email. I just checked, and on the sign in page it says 'Username or Email Address'. Even if it doesn't, just try entering your email where you would enter your username.
  25. That is true. I meant to write 'although it also generally seemed that Elkanah was a pretty reasonable candidate for the lynch.'
