Long Game 66: A Struggle for Power
The Young Pyromancer replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think the vests were the other big reason we lost; literally the entire village except the mislynch candidates had vests by the end. Also, I think the Archivist could be turned down a bit. When there's only a few players left, that ability is ABSURD. Maybe have the chance to repeat bits of information? So you could end up learning someone's role twice? -

Re: Lerasium, I was trying to get TJ to sell his vest to try and buy it, leaving him open for a kill. Yes, my Twinborn combo is Lookout. It's the one that makes the most sense. Or maybe Watchman. One of the two. -

Okay, basically, the plan'd be for the elims to each vote for themselves C1. Then, if the vote count was revealed, they'd all know they're teammates. I think the partners would work well, as you can balance the numbers of the two factions against the village to make sure it's even. It also would allow PMs, as well as enable a really interesting strategy. -

The village could be balanced out via better roles. I think that would work fine. Also came up with a potentially broken strategy, but I’m not sure whether I should share it or try to exploit it -

Vote’d be interesting, because on the one hand, you’d want to target trusted villagers, but on the other, if the trusted person was an elim, it’d be a massive blowout. -

It was because we were trying to kill mat, and you knew they had claimed sparker to Ventyl, so we had to kill you first. -

Gah! RL really screwed us over this game... Mage, your lie there totally saved the village. Yay Paranoia! TJ, your mistake was not in trusting me, it was in not reevaluating my alignment periodically, which I actually did warn you about Ash, why'd you point out the RB bit to mage? -

It's funny, when I'm village people distrust me for being erratic, but when I'm elim people trust me for it LOL. I guess in one case the elims see an easy target, and in the other the elim's support leaves me alive long enough to generate village reads. I do think that being erratic has definite benefits as both an elim and a villager, as one lets me get away with very elim-y actions later that aren't scrutinized because 'it's pyro being random lol', and in the other, I generate reads, which can be valuable later on. But yeah, I rarely do things 'at random'. I change my mind frequently, which can be a boon and a drawback, and I do chaotic things, but I always have a rationale. Erratic's definitely a good word for it. The play I'm most proud of this game was the hatz thing, which is one of the big things that got people to trust me after Kidpen flipped. See, as a spinner, they seemed like the least valuable role, and as an inactive as well, they were good to vote on. If they lynched, insta-cred, and if not, free distancing. -

I should have been more clear. Basically, for those who don't understand, the main group was me, TJ, Ash, and Mage, with a different one without ash because we had some suspicion of them still. We were thinking about Mage storing and Auguring while Ash bursted them, so he could protect me that night. Of course, ash HAD to point out that this would have RBed mage due to the storing drawback, which I think was a mistake from them, as otherwise the game would have been a lot closer, as mist would have gotten away scot-free. Regardless, he was unable to protect me, as he didn't have enough actions if he stored/augured to also protect me without that nicroburst. To Mist, I told you indirectly here: Mage’s expecting TJ to be attacked. Ash might Nicroburst me instead. Okay, Mage’s just Auguring. Which, because mage needed to store, meant I would not be protected. I told you again, more directly, in my list of actions. Action list: Ash bursts me TJ archives twice Mage Augurs, is blocked. Night: I have 2(3?) actions. So you "watch" me, watch someone else, and do 2 kills tonight? Mage depends, probably Augur again Would he protect TJ? TJ coinshots villager. Ash pulses someone. You have 2(1, since I think the trap uses an action) actions. So yeah, should've been more blatant, but it was there. As for how I infiltrated the groups? Well, I was actually the person who FORMED the groups in the first place . As for how I stayed trusted, well, that's for later. -

Quick Fix 45: To Set an Example
The Young Pyromancer replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Thanks for at least admitting that I make sense I think part of the reason people are reading me as elim is that the lack of roles makes me a lot less motivated this game.- 589 replies

Quick Fix 45: To Set an Example
The Young Pyromancer replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The earlier points on why they would shift things still applies, so if I'm village, why would TJ express a preference in the me/Siber lynch as an elim? That theory has it's flaws, but it still is somewhat valid.- 589 replies

This post feels a little off to me. Feels like an elim distancing from someone about to flip village. Possible distancing from TJ as well, but I doubt it. EDIT: Flame On!- 589 replies

Quick Fix 45: To Set an Example
The Young Pyromancer replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I did a little, then said I'd defend myself in a minute. People disregarded that and said that I was not defending myself, which was suspicious, and started voting for me. After reading the arguments against TJ, I realized it was very likely they were village, since both me and Silber were. Therefore, by lynching me, a mislynch in TJ is taken off the table, and if I lived, it's likely that he would be lynched, THEN me later. That's two mislynches. Therefore, I would prefer to be lynched rather than them. If there was a different candidate for the lynch, I would be voting on them instead of me.- 589 replies

The Young Pyromancer replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
...really Straw? If I wanted to actually do that, you know I could do better. Same with defending myself. If I actually wanted to do either one, I'd be doing a much better job of it. Reading Straw as village again. Seems like an elim wouldn't want to hammer in their opposition to me, knowing how I'll flip.- 589 replies

So the reason I'm not defending myself here is because I'm more valuable to the village dead than alive at this point, as I'll provide a good amount of information on my lynch. TJ Shade The Young Pyromancer- 589 replies
