Long Game 67: The Road to Urithiru
The Young Pyromancer replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So this is what I think's up. The elim team is mostly radiants, per Ventyl's comment. Matrim was squired by Ventyl because the other radiants are aready squiring the vanillas. -

Do we know there's a change at all? Ventyl could be lying. Good catch, but stated weirdly. -

Why more pressing? If he's a radiant, he already would've squired. -

Okay, first you don't know what's going on, then you say 'oh yeah, that was X's argument'. Your play has been suspicious all game. @Gears, you're online. What are your thoughts on a Matrim lynch, now or in the future? -

Striker, TJ, and Ventyl for lynch. TJ votes Ventyl. Striker could have voted for Ventyl and gotten them lynched. Instead, he voted on TJ, causing TJ to move to striker, leading striker to be lynched. The way that makes the most sense is if Striker was trying to save a teammate, and considered that teammate more important than themselves, like if they were a radiant. -

It's his elim playstyle for sure. Not necessarily his village one. Re: reasons, there was some voting stuff with striker that makes it seem like an elim trying to save an elim. -

Ah, okay. Guess we should just lynch Ventyl then, since squiring was the main reason I didn't want to do that right away. Elbereth. -

If Ventyl is an elim KR, they would have squired tonight, so waiting another cycle doesn't really harm anything. If Ventyl is an elim vanilla, waiting gives us more data when they flip. If Ventyl is a village KR, they haven't squired, and waiting gives them a chance to. If Ventyl is a Village Vanilla, lynching them is a mislynch. Therefore, it's better to wait until the next cycle to lynch them. Village read on Ash. -

I was quoting for a long post, but then the turn was over Right, I had a bunch of justification for this, but no. Ash put it really well, and I have a village read on them, but basically, a piece of me suspects a Joe/TJ/Striker team. Not enough to follow through with it, but a bit. I agree, and a couple other people have expressed suspicion too, but no one has really followed up on it. I find that WEIRD, especially because no one responded to your post last night, even though you're a very good player. Elbereth, for now. Also, TJ, if I were a village Radiant, I would have moved a vote off you if I didn't have anything better to do. -

But if two people are equally suspicious, why would you want to leave the lynch up to possibly elim vote manip? -

You said that I was being weird with the honorblades, and that you were disregarding what I was saying as just me being weird. That's not necessarily a good thing to do, as I WAS making a valid point there, you just got too caught up on the strange part to see it Also, when you said me jumping on players was NAI for me, note that both the MR and LG in which I did that I was evil. So that might actually be an elim tell, or it could be my playstyle. You decide. -

Depends on how many there are, but I love it. The fact that they do it or not matters less than the fact that I said it, as I figured they probably wouldn't listen to me, but the elims would be less likely to attack Joe. Also, TJ, the honorblades bit was just me trying to come up with possible elim team compositions, since I think that, as this is a rerun, making the elim team more interesting makes sense. I thought that honorblades were unlikely, but possible, and that a team with more radiants than vanillas (to lead to elims squiring villagers, which would be SICK) and a large team with all vanillas would make sense. That's part of why I'm sus of Ventyl, as an elim team of mostly radiants would make sense with their statement. And TJ, as I've said before, I'm 'chaotic,' not 'crazy'; all my plays have logic behind them, and I will usually provide it if asked. -

Agree re:the Joe clear. To screw with the numbers a bit, Progressionists, consider protecting Joe, as it's likely the elims'll attack them since TJ'll be protected. -

Re: Ventyl, scanning them is actually not very smart, since the elims can probably figure you out if you push their lynch/innocence suddenly. It'd be much better to scan someone else, then PM them when they're up. Also, Orlok, wilson didn't include apostrophes, which you have done several times. So yeah, you've most definitely failed -

Maybe. The commitment to lynch them might fade, or the elims kill off people who are sus of them. -

Balance, as the whole drawback of squires is you might end up choosing an elim by accident, which is not something the elims have to worry about. And I'm saying there could be. It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened. -

Another aspect to the scenario is squires: if Ventyl's lynched today, they'll not have had a chance to get a squire, and so we'll lose a valuable role. I think that delaying lynching Ventyl for just a bit, in case they are a radiant, is the best call. I doubt the elims can make squires, so the team's probably either a handful of knights or a bunch of vanillas. Maybe some people could have Honorblades? Idk. Anyways, I'm swinging towards letting Ventyl live for squiring. -
Long Game 67: The Road to Urithiru
The Young Pyromancer replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
...okay, I can see that. Ventyl. The one issue I can see is if they ARE an elim Radiant, and the elim team's trying to save him here to get as many actions out of him as possible. Might revote later. I can see TJ's point there. It makes me feel a little off about Ash. I don't support the TJ lynch here. What's up with Striker? -
Long Game 67: The Road to Urithiru
The Young Pyromancer replied to Straw's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Right, when I was an elim with Ventyl in the MR, they claimed very early to people in PMs. Based on that, I'm seeing this as kind of an elim play here. Ventyl. Can someone explain the Shade lynch? -

Wrong slash tj. Re:Gears, I wasn't pushing their lynch. If I was, I would have voted, but even thewn I might not have been pushing their lynch. More likely I would have been trying to bait Kynedash, since their previous post didn't feel that suspicious of gears, and them following my lead would have been an elimy move. -

@Kynedath would you support a Gear lynch? @Orlok Tsubodai Actually, Wilson was right. You're messing something up. -

Eh, I'd consider that, if just to try to see who jumped on who. Also, isn't it possible two people have the same role? -
Long Game 66: A Struggle for Power
The Young Pyromancer replied to StrikerEZ's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Part of the annoyingness of the role was it was basically impossible to plan around, which defeats the whole spirit of SE. If the RNG was publicized, or there was actually useless information, that would make things better.
