We call them Threads. These Threads are all a part of something larger, a multiverse of sorts. This multiverse is called the 17th Shard. We don't know how many Threads exist, but there are a finite number we can move between."

So your current appearance is an illusion right? Could you dispel the illusion and show us what you actually look like?"

    Aben continued to watch the water for a while, contemplative. What was the purpose of all this? Why weren't the constables doing anything to stop the gang war? He shook his head. Those questions paled in copmparison to the mysteries behind the Fairers' powers. Only one way to the answers. Aben thought grimly, before jumping into the water and willing himself to wake. He jumped up with a gasp, shaking his head to clear away nonexistent water. "No point in dramatics when no-one can see you." he muttered, "Who's she?" he continued, gesturing to the newest arrival.

    A lot of times I come up with a cool idea for a type of magic/power sand store it away until I come up with a good setting where I can use it. My settings are usually inspired by something I've seen/done and want to expand upon.

    Ahem. Addendum to the CPA: Plural of Egg is Eggs because that's how it's spelled in the dictionary.
