  1. My friends, we have taken a dangerous journey, the IRC and I. We went straight to Hoid's base, known as the Hoidcave, and recovered a list of what was inside. I hope you enjoy. Hoid steals things in a Cognitive sense, so both he and others have them. He has the following: -Dead voidbringers -Thunderclasts (pets, of course) -Awakened blankets for when he gets cold -A bead of Lerasium -A few beads of Atium -A dawnshard -A herald sometimes comes 'round to chat -A seon -Tears of Edgli (or y'know, however that's spelled) -A Rosharian waffle, and some lifeless to guard it -Cupcakes -The Twisted bones of a Dakhor monk -One of the glowing spheres Gavilar gave Szeth -A mistcloak -Aluminum guns -A live mistwraith in a cage -An aluminum car, that runs on stormlight -Wayne's lucky hat -The nightwatcher -The silvery skin of an Elantrian -A piece of metal Sazed used as a metalmind at one point -A bunch of Parshendi carapace -Kelsier's scars (not the arms, just the scars) -Shallan's sketchbook -Two spikes of sodium (for both allomancy and feruchemy) -A set of occulator's lenses -Brandon Sanderson (He needs peace to write, you know) -Strawberry Jam -The Superkandra -Nightblood -The server that hosts the 17th shard -A dusty old mathematician (trying to keep Hoid from over-fixing our server and crashing it) -Lightsong's Drunk Monkey -Barrels of Wine (brought with the monkey, of course.) Credits to me, CrazyRioter, Emeralis, and Nesh for exploring this wondrous place (that happens to be Shadesmar, just under all the beads).
  2. Wafflespren: Occur when someone eats a waffle on Roshar. They look like bottles of syrup. Hoidspren (on request): Occurs whenever anyone mentions Hoid/Hoid appears. They look like Adonalsium before it was shattered . Parshmanspren: Appears when a parshman does slave work. They are also known as Parshendi. Metaphorspren: Appears when someone makes a metaphor or simile. They look like the words of the metaphor/simile. Philosophyspren(thoughtspren): Appears when anyone asks a silly question to ponder the answer for days on end, without actually doing anything productive. They look like the "thinker" statue.
  3. My wild speculation on this is that they may be a sub-organization of the 17th shard on Roshar. They would want to kill Jasnah because she could potentially wordlhop (assuming they know about the access to Shadesmar), and I have no idea about Amaram if it was indeed a ghostblood. Just pure speculation, but that's what I think may have a possibility of being true. Also, did anyone ask Brandon about the shardbearer that attacked Amaram in the Q&A? If so, was it RAFO'd?
  4. Also note that Brandon confirmed Szeth is a Windrunner without a (honor?)spren. It also says that the shards on a planet can influence the base behaviour of (I think just humans) on a planet, with Roshar as one of the examples. It may allow spren bonding at the extreme end(s?) of the spectrum. Also, what about Shinovar? There are no spren (that we know of) there. Thoughts?
  5. That could also be true. So much we don't know...
  6. It's immutable. There is no way around owning a monkey (drunk or otherwise) if you have a fez. If you decide to get a fez and are allergic to monkeys/don't want to get one, you blow up.
  7. Can do
  8. I honestly haven't read AoL yet, and Mistborn isn't my favorite series, so I'm mixed about AoL2. What is Birthright?
  9. He just answered my questions, with three RAFO's, one essentially yes, and one explanation *dies of happiness*

    1. Glaring at the Survivor

      Glaring at the Survivor

Yes. Isn't it the best thing that could ever happen including him?

  10. Yeah Hopefully book 2 will give us more info. Still a year... T_T
  11. If he has a fez, then by the laws of every universe ever created, he has to have a pet monkey. has to.
  12. Yeah, thanks.

I'm pretty sure you have the highest rep on the site now :)

  13. EDIT: On Hoid:
  14. Thanks Cheese Ninja . I do believe Kaladin's battle with Amaram was a year ago, yes.
  15. Newbie question, but what does RAFO stand for?
  16. The letter theory is good, but I don't think we know if Brandon confirmed who wrote it yet. If it is, then you're likely right. Either way, as Voidus said, Hoid was probably the original worldhopper, at least in the Cosmere as we know it now.
  17. It could be that lost herald, and he stands against him because all the other heralds (including him) abandoned the lost herald.
  18. Sorry if any of these have been asked before, but here are some things that are going around the Stormlight Archive forums: 1. Szeth mentions that Lashings don't work with shardplate (on?). Is there any way to get around this (As in, lashing with shardplate on, or lashing people with shardplate on), and, if so, does it have anything to do with the Knights Radiant and/or their ideals? 2. Is Szeth bound to his Oathstone by anything but honor (not the shard. No loopholes here )? 3. In one of the death sentence things it says something like three of sixteen ruled, but now the broken one reigns. Is this referring to the Shards on Roshar and if so, is the broken one Odium? 4. Are Dawnshards the same thing as Honorblades? 5. Are spren Cognitive aspects? Thanks in advance .
  19. "That's right...I was thinking about how delicious that emerald marshmallow looked..." *CHOMP* Owww....
  20. Kinda long... Hemalurgic bunnies, just saying.
  21. What he didn't tell you is they cut off the last three seconds and the "Or perish".
  22. It also makes a lot of sense, once you think about it (if the parshendi are the voidbringers).
  23. "Naughty naughty! Why were you in the ancient armory again!?!" (Mouth full)"Uhm no...reason..." "Why do you have a box of breakfast cereal behind your back?" "It's delicious?"
  24. I think Chasmfiendspren is what they would be called. By the way, answer to the age old question: Are Chasmfiendspren attracted to a chasmfiend's death, or do they cause it? They cause it, of course. The plate and blade are the spren's weapon of choice, and they squirt water into the chasmfiend's innards, causing them to shrivel up much like the wicked witch of the west did, but only on the inside. They also give the blade a deep cleaning with the water while they are in wherever they go, which is why blades are wet when they come out of wherever they're stored. I think that should answer your question .
  25. As well as 30% Atium and 10% Lerasium. It's a bit of a...spendy cereal. Plus, the hospitals would never believe that I was eating metal.
