  1. That, sir, is a very good idea, +1 to you. My issue, looking at this, is the flesh burning part; unless the dawnshards or whatever the Heralds use cause fire, I don't know how that would fit in. Also, good topic: I never connected the death sayings to events in the present.
  2. I guess that could work, but if each of these shards represent an emotion, perhaps one of Adonalsium's, then it wouldn't really be broken-it's working as intended. However, if somehow the shardholder managed to warp the shard's intent to match their own...
  3. I don't honestly know if that is needed here; the history and lore of Roshar are very mixed as whatever you're looking at gets older and older, and I'd be surprised if the facts aren't really messed up already.
  4. I get your reasoning here, but I don't know if I can accept this until I know how Odium is broken, if he even is. For the most dangerous of shards, I don't think that he would be partially broken.
  5. That's good. Anyway, we know that they were incredibly destructive, and they themselves might be referred to as 'voidbringers'.
  6. I personally think that the quote refers to the Thunderclasts or whatever they are; I believe they were described as rock-like creatures, like a greatshell, just worse. I don't have a quote right now, but if anyone really wants one, I could probably find it.
  7. On this line of thinking, it could have been the act of creating (this?) the universe that shattered Adonalsium. The only way this would work was if Adonalsium came from a different universe/dimension, considering Hoid was there when it happened...
  8. Obviously talking about Renarin (Probably butchered that spelling...did I?)! Elkohar, Sadeas, and Dalinar used to rule, but now Renarin is! Anyway, it's possible they're talking about Honor when they mean the broken one...wasn't it confirmed that Honor was splintered?
  9. Wait, how can we be sure Tien was adopted if Kaladin was? If Kaladin was adopted and never knew.... Anyway, I doubt adoption happens much, if at all in this world, it's sort of a modern thing.
  10. That's the real question: if there was, we could probably figure out the approximate power hierarchy of shards in the Cosmere.
  11. Got it . I'll dodge their spikes accept their cookies with glee.
  12. Thanks for clarifying .
  13. I didn't know...can you quote it for me?
  14. That makes sense, I suppose. I'd lean more towards the being bound side of things, though. Honor mentions that Odium is bound by certain rules, though I've also heard that it might be the oathpact or something like that.
  15. So, just clarifying (newbie question here), shardpools are like the one in WoA? I'm still a little fuzzy on what they are.
  16. Another question that is brought up, is that if Adonalsium was so powerful, what shattered it...and how powerful would that be? Just saying...
  17. I'm new here, so I figured I might as well post. I have an...interesting story following my joining this site. I have a friend here, who got really interested in this around the time he joined. I told him that the whole "Cosmere" thing probably wasn't going to happen, this site was pretty much a place for conspiracy theorists and whatnot. Anyway, I somehow ended up being convinced that the Cosmere was actually happening, and I ended up joining. So, uh, hi!
  18. Actually, it seems that Navani knows what happened to Dalinar's wife, and I suspect that the court has at least some if not all of the information. I'm fairly sure Brandon will let us know a little more about her, or otherwise he'll just have a random loose-end.
  19. I doubt that would happen in that way: reading the Alcatraz annotations, Brandon states that he hates doing anything that's been done before; it seems likely to me that the final desolation would come in a different manner, mainly because of the way it was done in another book.
  20. Using allomantic pushes/pulls to push your chair in.
  21. I tried to make one, tell me if it works, I'm not sure. I guess it's on the Voidbringers... Without void/they come/terrible/come they/void without With punctuation, it makes more sense. Without void, they come; terrible, come they, void without ....Does that work? I put it together earlier...it's hard, but rewarding.
  22. I don't know either, but, this is awesome. By the way, who was sacrificed?
  23. Another thing on the Thrill: It seems that the Thrill is not limited to battle; I would guess that any Alethi can feel it. Otherwise on the Shin/Parshmen, something along those lines is really important; we just don't know what.
  24. I'm going to go hide in my closet now, thank you very much.
