All Selish magic is location-based due to the unique situation of their source of magic. Most Shards are primarily in the Spiritual Realm, where location doesn't matter, but the powers of Dominion and Devotion have been shoved into the Cognitive Realm, where location plays a part, hence the national differences in magic and the power drop off once you leave the nations.

"I've got pretty much everything. I can do Rosharan stew. Prefer it with the shells or without?" Malu asked.

"Hear hear," said Janim, who had been conspicuously absent from the fight due to internal conflict. "Well said, big guy."

Nazh is Khriss's assistant/employee, who gains a fair amount of knowledge on Roshar for her. He was referenced within the text and you get to see some of his writing in one section as well, and in some other books besides Stormlight, I think. She's been just about everywhere, popping into Scadrial, Roshar, native to Taldain, been to Nalthis, has somehow figured out all sixteen Shardic Intents She also writes the Ars Acanums in the end of the books, and knows a lot about what's happening at any given time, helped found Silverlight, can change her appearance via an unexplained method, will give information to anyone who asks, and knows more than even Hoid*, and she'd get along well with Jasnah. Tl;dr: Basically she's just obliteratingly smart and has used her lifespan to gain an excess of knowledge. *Explanation in this spoiler box here

I'm aware of his proper name, thanks, but I use nicknames for people I respect and will continue to do so.

Pretty much everything has Hemalurgic bind points, so I think that would work if you could figure them out.

"Spheres'll work just fine, yeah. What do want, food-wise?" Malu asked.

I'd say name it Steve, but we've already got a space thing named Steve.

I love Threnody! Forests with ghosts and stuff? That's my kind of place.

I agree with this, but in the spirit of the question, I'd have to say spending time on Dayside Taldain would be horrible. Deserts are bad.

That's in the WOB Weltall linked. You theoretically can, but it's hard and Cultivation might smite you if you seperate the two.

Fair enough. Thank you for reminding me I need to get better at searching Arcanum.

I'm pretty sure this would work. You can steal a spren from a Radiant, so there's no reason a boon or bane wouldn't able to be stolen.
-
I don't think that would be possible to heal from, since I'm pretty sure it gets woven directly into your spiritweb and changes the base for healing immediately.

I don't think Sandman gets on here anymore.

Welcome to the Shard! What else have you read?

I think it would be more literal, since they came from the flagship, and if they have any sense, the flagship crew would be made up of the best of all the ships in the entire armada/fleet/whatever term you want to use, leading to a much more mixed group of people than some other ships would have,
