What would it mean if there had been people down here? Was there truly something worth exploring? Okame hadn't yet believed that these caverns were anything other than the result of this world's oddities, but if there had been people down here before enough to leave shoes in some form of bizarre ritual, what else might there be? Chasmfiends, perhaps? No one tell the Alethi. Maybe even sentient life. He wondered if they had a code of law.
