    So...the mists couldn't go in on full power because of Leras? Makes sense I guess, they were kind of pulled two ways between sticking to Leras and finding their new host...

    The Seventeenth Shard is quite clearly angry at Hoid for not inviting them to his two-hundredth birthday. He ate all the cake without them. Here's a plot twist: Hoid or somebody else has been using Lightweaving to...I don't know, create the Seventeenth Shard or something. I just want an organization where all the members don't exist.

    Maybe they hadn't quite started doing the funnel thing and she put the earring back in too quickly? Heck, might have been Ruin's fault, I have no idea until I get my WoA copy back.

    If anything he is an entirely different order. Either that or it's related to his Boon.

    Probably every time she was burning metals, and probably just as small an absorption rate thanks to her tiny subconscious burnings. It's the only reason I can think of for why the mists didn't go right into her while her earring was out. For the entire time she was using allomancy consciously she had it in.

    UtopiaGreen01 was mentioned in the linked post and MAN, that stuff is amazing. Classic example for downrate-worthy poster.

    Being able to create fake versions of himself probably makes Hoid the single most frustrating person in the Cosmere to track. And don't forget about pseudo/notpseudo-Forging. Being able to travel through Shadesmar, who knows what he can do to his cognitive aspect?

    That's far too dangerous. Instead, we'll play Coinshot-fueled Bullet Hell games inside of Cadmium bubbles for all to enjoy.

    It's basically scripture, and in any case writing it up would take time that could be used for writing Stormlight 2. I kind of get the feeling that Brandon prefers to leave those kinds of things for the readers to imagine, or otherwise cannot fit it into the book (See: The Contract).

    What if there was simply a way to undo upvotes, or a person could not be downvoted past, say, 30 reputation, or maybe could not be downvoted if too new or more than twice a day. Getting rid of it seems a little extreme, as the system does have its uses, but the problems you mentioned about it can be fixed.

    Er...I'm pretty sure they do. Wax got his earring from a kandra in a human body, and the legends say that they take bodies.

    No mentions of Bastille. Likely because nobody, I repeat, nobody, can take that series seriously.

    He was able to pull up the name Adonalsium and deduce that the shards were once together, and that was within a few minutes of picking up the powers. He probably knows that there are other things out there like him, and probably that there are other planets. It's unlikely that he knows about all the shardic drama that's going down, but he probably knows somebody is out there.

    Huh. A lot of Dragonsteel appears to happen in the Shattered Plains in Bridge Four. Rock is there too. Wonder how many other ideas got/get pulled from here?

    Never been a big fan of character portraits for the front covers, and I'd much rather have a cover like the first book. That Highstorm looked...so...AWESOME!

    Yes, yes you did. What if....instead of writing a book or a song, you forged the blank pages to say that you just finished writing it, and then used what was now there to actually write it? Authors on Sel are amazing. Try to forge a paper to say what the other forger is hiding behind their back. I'm kind of imagining the sympathy fights from NoTW, except using forgery to mess with the other forgeries.

    Novella characters are hard to work with since we don't spend as much time getting to know them. Shai would probably land you with an identity crisis or something. EDIT: I hate this keyboard

    What we really need to know is whether or not Adonalsium created Yolen and humans. That's a major step towards understanding. Adonalsium created life from the void using sheer force of will. The void got pissed and hit it back. "Hey! That's my nonexistence space!"
