  1. Well, as of now Joel and Melody have been added to the list as (In my opinion) kinda semi-viable options for younger readers. Yay for obsessive people! EDIT: Just be prepared to sneeze a lot.
  2. Well, lines of warding, by that logic, are even less safe. @Phantom, I got the impression that you couldn't draw a line of forbiddence on something that isn't touching the ground.
  3. As I said last page, I'm pretty sure Lines of Forbiddence anchor the surface they're written on, leaving it immobile.
  4. Being made of once-living things has given it power. Sound like something else we know? Hint: It regards something that starts with an 'S', and ends with an 'ibbler'.
  5. Political Party Zinc/Duralumin - Primary Speaker Pewter/Steel - Bodyguard much? Pewter/Zinc - Or maybe this one? Aluminum - Poison Tester >=] EDIT: Number two was missing for some reason.
  6. Fill yourself with as much Stormlight as possible, and then lash yourself downward a few hundred times.
  7. I would like to announnce that I eagerly await a future with teleportation and no driving. I hate driving. Have since the day I started. The drop in accidental deaths would just be a sidebonus.
  8. The power to have a different power every time. Hehe. I call dibs on the power to burst out in unhearable, magical song. Not siren song, way too useful and likely to appear. Just the normal kind.
  9. Unicorns!?! They're pegasi! Honestly, some people... I would like to announce that I finished the Rithmatist.
  10. Use Atium while playing the piano to mess yourself up.
  11. It's still possible it was his coin. Yes, the church is filled with gears, but who's to say those aren't there to keep the Shadowblaze locked in? Or maybe it was simply because. as has been stated, all spots were filled.
  12. Could always have specles of metal inside the replacement. Or, if you had to, you could just get a steel one. I know next to nothing of join replacements though, so I have no idea if it would work.
  13. They could be euthinizing them.
  14. Makes sense, I guess. How do chalklings interact with surfaces too small to fit them, even if all sides are used? Like, as I mentioned above, a chinlink fence, or a mesh pattern? Would they be unable to cross?
  15. Would probably be easier to just forge a weak link into the chain, but meh, I can see this being more useful than that.
  16. And, in line with the rest of the magic, it's only permeable enough to make walking through it a little tough, but not enough to climb on top of and "float". Is it a new power every time, or does the plant always affect you the same way each time?
  17. Remember, he can just have people say stuff like that, just for the sake of leaving an opening for a tie-in.
  18. Can they move across a chainlink pattern?
  19. I'm assuming it's a line that is the exact same thickness of the hole, so the chalklings cannot slip down the hole. I wonder, could you use catapults on the tower to any affect?
  20. Problem: If you get your leg shackled, and then you forge yourself to have been missing it, how do you explain to your new history why they didn't just chain up your only leg instead of the thin air beside it? I prefer the magic box. Maybe because I'm a timeloop nut or something, but the Schrodinger's Box forgery sounds much more useful and vertisile. Of course, this is all assuming they grabbed a forger and didn't search them for stamps.
  21. Better: Dig a very thin, long hole downwards and then use a long piece of chalk to make a line of forbiddance exactly the thickness of the hole. EDIT: Not sure what you mean Tarontos. Do you mean drawn two crossing lines? If so, that's a Mark's Cross, a mentioned use of them. If you mean right on top of each other, I doubt it. Getting your hand into the wall would be difficult, and I don't think you can draw on the invisible wall anyways.
  22. In contrast to that I say pancakes!
  23. I agree with Aeth, but it's still possible that, now that the books went well, he can go back and use some of the old open-ended material like this. Still, it sounds more like Dominion, I'm just trying to see if there's a way it isn't. :/
  24. Soulcast your soulcaster into gravel.
  25. They probably affect wavelengths or something similar to that, if you want to tie it into the smooth vs sharp thing. EDIT: But aside form my horrible terminology, this would cause a hos tof other problems neve rnoted in the book. EDIT EDIT: Note that in one section, Joel mentions that he can speak normally, but can't yell without being dampened. So with range, the symbol doesn't weaken at all, but simply raises the bar fo rhow loud you can be, kind of like the triangle theory for a line of forbiddence. Interesting.
