Mistborn spoilers ahoy! (Though if you haven't read Mistborn, This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules are you doing here?)

What happened to Sadeas? (Joke theories topic)
Observer replied to Lightflame's topic in Stormlight Archive
You guys don't get it do you? Obviously he was growing another shardblade in that flowerpot. He and Oathbringer are both fine, he just went back to find the warcamps to find the enormous, disembodied butt he borrowed his personality from. -
Aside from the freakishly TLR-like ways he seems to want to use in order to save Roshar, I think there's actually a Diagram section than mentioned worldhoppers, though they think it's Mraize or whatever his name is. The idea of Taravagnian discovering and being released into the full expanse of the cosmere is more terrifying than anything he's mentioned/done so far.

Does Hoid Possess a Shard? (WoR Spoilers)
Observer replied to Sevynwarr's topic in Cosmere Discussion
A lot of people seem to think that Hoid's endless referencing to a gemstone he once bore/was named after means he had a shard. IIRC, it's really just one of those pink crystals from Liar of Partinel. The ones nahel bonds probably came from when the magic of Yolen got all broken up. Edited for clarity. -
Brandon has mentioned that Nightblood is built identically to an Honorblade, which means that Honorblades likely do unhealthy things to the people who wield them.

[OB] Daughter of Twenty Faces (Shallan and Hoid)
Observer replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
The Seventeenth Shard seems very interesting in Lightweaving's similarities to the old Yolen form of it. Like the old magic systems broke apart, but somehow that one managed to land mostly in one piece. If Hoid is as interested as I think he is, he probably will start teaching/learning with her. Inevitably Shallan is going to get in waaaaaaaay over her head with Hoid's Cosmere crap, making Roshar an even bigger Conflux of shardic events. -
I feel a little out of place under all these crazy-awesome arguments, but I'd like to point out that Radiant-wise, most spren don't have much of an issue with "evil" acts. Even Syl herself didn't start to have problems until Kaladin made opposing oaths. It wasn't the so-called evil of the acts, it was just the lack of honor in the situation. In Adolin's case, whether or not his (IMO) entirely reasonable flipout at Sadeas could be considered evil, I doubt it would turn off every single type of KR spren. Just by $0.02. Feel free to tear me apart.

Your "I Knew It" Moments for Words of Radiance?
Observer replied to Lightflame's topic in Stormlight Archive
I kind of found Shallan's interludes annoying since I basically guessed everything from back in WoK. Called stormform being voidbringing form, called Venli or whatever her name is on having already tried it out. Knew Kaladin couldn't let Dalinar's Tien (Best moment ever.) die, but didn't think he'd make it so early. No idea if this is actually confirmed, but I called whatever name Nin was going by as being from Nalthis thanks to me trying to puzzle out his color-based metaphors and him mentioning Investure, though him having Nightblood and possibly being Vasher threw me for a loop. Finally, as a huge 'duh', Syl coming back. She's way too awesome (no pun intended) to die so early. -
Shallan's mother and father (with answers from WoB Omaha)
Observer replied to Macen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I seriously doubt that it was all Odium. In fact, I doubt Odium could have come in in the first place if he wasn't a little bit nuts, kind of like Ruin, who also needed insanity to work. His pain and rage were all his own, Odium just tried to push him a little further, probably into turning to the Ghostbloods. -
This should probably be moved to the WoR subforum, or at the very least have some spoiler tags and a more vague title. Not everybody knows about (WoR spoilers, mostly already in OP)
-
To be fair, I doubt many people could withstand the 10x torture combo Taln didn't have any idea would be hitting him, and doing that for a few thousand years. I seriously doubt anybody would be able to hold up properly under that.
-
Don't forget about the end of WoR:
-
Yeah, I figured this thread was going to crash and burn. Realized that with so many windrunners and mistborn here, the crash was the yeast of our problems. Okay, that's so tenuously connected I accept judgement and death now.
-
If these threads have taught me anything, Es-shon-ai can't stand this kind of weirdness.
-
You'll probably go to the Pits for a pun that awful. Repent, for you Hathsin'd. I don't think there will ever be a time where I Shallan-derstand why you people do this. Seriously, you all need to Ranette in a little.

Name: Snatcher. Power: Matter-swap teleportation between any two points every visited Weakness: Cannot swap anything into or out of any kind of rain, be it a drizzle or a downpour. Just wears casual clothing, because screw social rules, your heart is in China now.

I'll take three, with a side of fries. Adolin is going to lose the one duel that actually matters, in the "crapsack part" that occurs in every single book. Alternate theory, pick whichever, he'll run against a cheater who's going to seriously hurt him.
-
I always got the impression that the investure Elend burned was trapped on Scadrial, with the power flow interrupted. Like, Preservation was slowly eating off bits of Ruin and pulling them out of the cycle, so they'd return to the Pits instead of back to the Shard. Ruin wanted to be able to directly absorb the Atium, and burning it all screwed him over. Less sensically, it could just be that once burned the stuff takes a small eternity to make the trip back around to Ruin, which would kind of open him up for attack, but that one seems a little less plausible to me.

Nah, sell. Yesteel will not in fact be the villain of Warbreaker 2. He'll be taken out of the picture halfway in.

Which Brandon Character Would You Date?
Observer replied to Chaos's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Legendary mistborn, inventor of Scadrian latin, super important dude. Oh yeah, and he's canonically a stud. I ask the same question too. -
LDS Influences on Themes (Theology Time)
Observer replied to The Rooster's topic in General Brandon Discussion
How about all other religions being corrupted, and the solid truth being on metal plates buried deep underground? It takes a bit of wording trickery, but it's pretty much a straight up parallel for Book of Mormon. -
Buy, definately. In the future mistborn series they will have found a use for gnats.
-
Sell, because: Jasnah will die withing the first few books, being just one of Shallan's many mentors.
-
Sell, though I do think we may get to see more of his kind. One of the book 3 plot twists will be the ardents discovering Edited in spoilers.
