@agrabes I agree with most of it but the only problem I have, is with the idea that kal has bad history and therefore was treated more harshly. He does have bad history, I agree but he has also saved dalinar’s and adolin’s life. He and his crew has single-handedly saved the Kholin house from full collapse. By now in the story, he has proven his worth as a soldier, he has saved Elhokar’s And again dalinar’s life from assassin in white. He was the only one to have survived a direct fight with him. He gave them forewarning too of the attack. he, then, also saved Adolin and Renarin at the dueling arena and proved again his worth as a fighter. Despite all of that, he was thrown in jail because he challenged Amaram. I would put it to light eyes vs dark eyes only. I am very sure that if some other dark eyes had dared the same, they most certainly would have been thrown in jail.

Hey @fadiay08 welcome to the shard. I started with Elantris too and I loved Raoden. But in retrospect, I realise that a good character is one that has internal conflicts too. Raoden is too perfect to be realistic. Brandon has now even better characters to offer in his other books. Enjoy the rest of the Mistborn series, do come back and share your views whenever you finish them. Personally I think, Well of ascension takes a little time in getting interesting and things happening, but what once it does, it really is worth reading. And just wait for hero of ages. It is very good. *trying to not create too much hype*

@Pathfinder yes I agree with the whole king’s boon stuff and Kaladin did not lose any respect in my eyes for thinking it might work. But I was a little you know cringing reading it, when kal challenged Amaram, *cringes* because I knew it was not going to go well for him. I felt bad for Kaladin there. The state of Alethkar society is so bad, the dark eyes are so suppressed, even talking in a high voice to a light eye could earn you prison time.. so, it was like how did you think kal that it is going to work!!? Did I think, that someone can throw him in prison and ask for his beheading(cough Elhokar cough) ? No. Not at all. But I did not think it was a good idea.

Stormfather might have a greater degree of control over the formation of bonds where the Honorspren are concerned. And not other orders..

@KandraAllomancer On the contrary, I think that such influences opens up the person’s spirit web to influence from other sprens. Lift formed the bond easily and so did Dalinar. I think it is easier for them to form nahel bonds. And I don’t think there is going to be any resonances also. Because cultivation’s influence is not the same as granting investiture. I don’t like the idea of Taravangian becoming a bond smith to NW, because he is already cultivation’s plant, why bond her godspren to him. Why not add another pawn to her long plan by bonding NW to someone else.. I like the idea of Rlain to bond NW, it would be good for the singers to have their own bondsmith on the good side.

I don’t know when there has been any opportunity for anyone to mistake him for a singer and attack him... Earlier he was in bridge 4 and parahmen were accepted as slaves. At the battle of narak, he was kept supervised by Dalinar’s Soldiers and was asked to help with the maps but was not let out. At Urithiru, he was with bridge 4 all the time and they are very protective of him. And everyone knows who he is. And he was conspicuously absent during the battle for Thaylen city. Most likely, he has been sent on some spying mission by Kaladin. Or he may be looking for the remaining listeners but he does not even about the 1000 that escaped..

Captain Ico also mentions that his daughter is off chasing stupid dreams.. I doubt that lightspren are the only ones. They are not the only ones that hum to rhythms. Pattern hums many times in a way that reminds me of rhythms and I am sure syl also hums sometimes which Kaladin has mentioned that sounds familiar.. I think he finds it familiar because Rlain talks to the rhythms. Bonding with listeners was always possible but was probably forbidden by Honor. But now that one spren has done it, once others find out, I think others will be able to replicate as well and not just lightspren. Also Rlain most likely is already on his way to achieve the same..

Granted but the Koloss army was used by you for destroying villages, towns.. you got over confident and that led to them getting into a frenzy and you lost their control.. they killed you.. congratulatiobs.. now no one can override their commands, they run rampage all over scadrial.. it became a Koloss kingdom now.. who will soon kill each other now that no humans are left.
