Does not mean that but the way it is written, my impression was that there were more than one shardpools, a collection of many shardpools .. Rock mentions these lakes as “waters of life” and says if unkalakis swim in it sometimes they see place of gods. If it were only one such pool, he would have said, but one is extra special..

Great Lakes of USA flows for many many kilometers, they are still called lakes It is a cool idea, a ring-shaped perpendicularity, I wish we get to see one, but all I am saying is, it would still be a lake.. @Calderis I did not know that shardpools could have streams flowing out of it. That makes a shardriver based drainage system more likely to me..

Yup and it is nearly a circle at least in the first stage of their life.. a river that is a loop with no new addition of water is basically a lake only..

But that is the thing.. I don’t think that singers can perceive spren.. remember how hard they were trying to attract spren.. and the only difference was that they were able to see spren coming towards them from farther away.. that’s it.. can you mention any other incidence? @Invocation i thought hot eaters were possible because the system was created by Adonalsium and he made it such..

Possible but I think it is more a function of perpendicularity on them than their singer ancestory.. I don’t think singers can see syl in the way that rock does..

That is exactly what I was wondering.. is it one main perpendicularity acting shardpool or there are many.. I think one central one too.. especially since not every horneater can see spren right? that horneater who shallan stabs could not see pattern.. could he?

@Invocation also I am wondering is it that there are many peaks with each having its own crater lake? This is the impression I got.. We do not have any confirmation that singers can see syl.. they were not able to see syl around Kaladin.. and syl was only worried about yixli spotting her!

Is it possible then, that, animals at the peaks would be this evolved? All types of ecosystems must evolve around every shardpool ..

Submerging yes, but I think Rick mentioned something about needing to go a certain depth too.. I really doubt that a shard will be ok with a river because it is difficult to control it. They merge into other rivers, tributaries? It will have to be an inland river..

How will one worldhop from a shard river? If they swim in it long enough? Go a certain distance?

True but I always thought that these are called red rip because these are a constellation of red stars or one prominent red star. And a red star is simply a star that has reached the end cycle, core has become predominantly of helium. So it is some really old stars. But I still think that these are very relevant as they are constantly mentioned again and again.. may even be where yolen is, so associated with shattering but, unfortunately red shift is not something visible through the naked eye....
