  1. do i really seem to be having a bunch of different opinions?? wack and i did not just piggy back off of what other people said. i decided i was going to vote on you when i first read your post. i just read it after a bunch of other people had posted, so it looks like mine came much later and must be following their thoughts i'm not sure why they wouldn't follow through. the thoughts and reasonings for an elim are mysterious sigh i think i'm just confusing myself. i might not vote swan after all. maybe i should try and reread everything to make some new opinions and also remember what some people have said because man oh man is it hard to remember who has said what
  2. I mean, the reasoning for that could just be that they wanted to look like they were trying to solve the game. I guess I simply fundamentally disagree about how villagers should treat their votes, especially before they have solid reads on most players. I have never been okay with just voting on anyone in previous games. I always try to find reasons to vote for players, even if those reasons may not be understandable to others or are me reaching for a reason to vote.
  3. What I have been saying for so long about Swan is that I think they have had this bias about who they wanted to vote on, since they did not initially vote where their elim reads were. Does that make sense? @Coral Swan What about my recent posts has confirmed your suspicions of me? Is it just that I have different opinions about the behaviors of elims and the ways in which players will interact with the game?
  4. that is honestly just such a weird take to me. it feels just...like, i've always thought it makes more sense to expect people to give more reasoning for why they're voting for someone than why they're not voting for someone. and no, i wouldn't be comfortable killing anyone randomly, because most players in the game are village!
  5. I am very upset. I refreshed the page so I could see Meerkat's newest post and lost the post I was working on. To summarize my thoughts: I did in fact consider the possibility of Swan putting some of their fellow elims in their elim reads being the reason for why they voted on a null read instead. I am confused by what Axolotl means with the "guilty until proven innocent." And I know that elims want to kill villagers, but they end up doing so with faulty reasoning. Which Swan's vote felt like it had faulty reasoning to me.
  6. *shrug* i've always felt that it's better to vote in a way that makes your vote most likely to result in an exe. so, by joining a tie, my vote is at least somewhat more likely to result in an exe than if i vote on someone who doesn't have any votes on them. that make sense?? uhhh, okay. i hope my reaction was satisfactory hehehe
  7. I see that post as more you wanting to look like you are contributing to the game and making reads without wanting to commit to the reads. An elim would know whether or not their elim reads are true or not. And if you have mostly villagers in your elim reads, it could look bad if you vote for them and they flip village. But if you vote on a null player (in your opinion) and they flip village? You can simply claim that you were just trying to weed out the null players and it did not turn out for you. Does that make sense? And honestly? I think I would read you as more of a villager if you had acquiesced and voted on someone you truly suspect. As it is right now, your insistence on not voting on someone you truly suspect feels like you are trying to hold to your opinion since people have called me out for getting defensive. Perhaps I am simply too paranoid. Care to explain why? It is hard to respond to a vote on oneself that does not have a stated reason for it.
  8. oh mannnn, i completely forgot to actually add the reason for why i was voting you! i knew i forgot something in that post basically, it's the reason others have given for suspecting you. i don't like that went through all that effort of making a reads list, and despite being called out on this multiple times, are still voting on someone you don't even suspect. it just reads very very fishy to me oof the spelling gremlin strikes again
  9. In the interest of keeping things clear, here is the current vote count: (2) Pearl Chameleon: Scarlet Octopus, Mauve Crocodile, (2) Torquoise Gorilla: Violet Axlotlt, Salmon Meerkat, (1) Charcoal Hyena: Chartreuse Penguin, (1) Amethyst Scorpion: Charcoal Hyena, (1) Scarlet Octopus: Amber Vulture, (1) Melon Dingo: Coral Swan, (1) Coral Swan: Oxblood Beagle, (1) Violet Axlotl: Onyx Flamingo, (1) Mauve Crocodile: Fuchsia Ostrich, There are about 9 hours left in the turn, and we have two tied vote trains. One of them is on myself, and the other is on a player I have not been able to form a solid opinion on thus far. The rest of the 7 votes placed so far are each on a separate player. I do not have any idea what to make of this. I think I am going to place my vote (for now) on Coral Swan. As of right now, they are the only player that I suspect of the ones that have votes on them. Part of me still is unwilling to completely trust Iguana, but they do not have any votes on them so that exe is unviable. I am not voting on Gorilla because I am not suspicious of him. I do not trust him either, but that is no reason to condemn him right now. However, when the time comes for the end of the turn, I hope all of you will understand if I vote in self-preservation. I am the only player I can be certain that is a villager, and I would not want to sacrifice myself in a tie if it turns out Gorilla or Swan is truly a Spiked.
  10. hehehehe, i am pretty slimy, since im a chameleon. get it?? are chameleons actually slimy? i don’t actually know for what it’s worth, my reasoning for my first vote is 100% fullproof and also was a complete shot in the dark. and also saffron iguana that’s a lot of words i am trying to find elims, i’ll tell you that. my first vote was pretty shoddy, ill give you that. you are right that i hadn’t considered that just having bad reasoning (in my perfectly imperfect opinion) doesn’t make someone evil. just makes them…not sound perfectly fine and dandy
  11. Is not every first vote in this game a little performative? A little too much? Banal, as you say? We play this game time and time again, and every time one of the first voters is deemed lazy or reaching for a reason to vote. Of course the first vote is going to be a stretch. I had maybe five posts to work with at the time I was composing my first post. I wanted to spur on discussion (forgive me for my previous spelling error last time I spoke of this), and voting, even for a reason some might find unconvincing, can, will, and has sparked discussion. As for my reasoning, you are correct that it is a little contrived. I was specifically looking for something, anything really, that I could use to justify a vote. Because I believe that getting the voting going early is imperative for our chances at victory. Waiting till the last minute to vote and decide who the candidates are has never been something I enjoy doing. And these first days often have a tendency to start slow and stay slow when no one is willing to be brave and vote. So I voted as I did.
  12. you know? maybe seekers aren’t all that powerful. maybe they’re just vibing and trying to find people that can be good for them to find. or somethin. idk, i just think that 5 players makes sense? maybe 6 players would make mor sense. in my defense, i hadn’t realized that we had gone up to 26 players and thought we were still at 25 players, which would make my first guess at 20% hehe i think there’s like, a good chance of there being a coinshot or mistborn. there’s a whole lotta people y vote for me also, i think an elimmy coinshot would be very fun! don’t know if i think it’s likely, tho
  13. Hello, my fine friends. It seems we have once again arrived at Tyrian Falls. I do not have much to say much to say about how to use the roles, but I do think that Coinshots should be very cautious at first. We do not want them accidentally hitting an important role (mostly Lurchers, if we have been provided any) early on, when the chances of successfully hitting a Spiked are low. As for the number of Spiked amongst us, I am in agreement that we likely have at least 5 Spiked amongst us, possibly even 6 if they do not have as many powerful roles (Lurcher, Rioter, Seeker). In the interest of spurning further discussion, I shall place the first vote of the game on Saffron Iguana, for relying far too much upon the distribution of the previous incarnation of this game for their analysis of this game. No two games, even with the same rules, will ever be the same. Especially with different GMs. Ah, they have now posted again. Their explanation is not satisfactory for my tastes. My stance on meta is to never expect anything to be the same as it was last time, because GMs can and have mixed things up specifically to counteract current meta trends.
  14. not that i can see. sorry. you're welcome! i just haven't been able to be on.
  15. self-hate=bad. no self-hate. i don't see any signs in my pm from getting attacked. so no. you are good players, you're nearly done. good job!
  16. don't you mean Tenth of the Dusk and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day? hey i'm back for now.
  17. Sorry i couldn't get on. i didn't camp on Ashyn, i dunno what the other person was thinking.
  18. No. Sorry i havent been on, its hard to get on for me.
  19. [OOC: Hi! Im going to go reread the rules, but a summary of the removes and kills would be nice]
  20. Hello, everyone! Sorry for not participating in the last few turns, though that seems to have been for the best? Mauve Crocodile and I had a Spanreed PM, so I probably would have tried to defend them, if only to have someone to talk to I don't have much else to add, since I haven't had time to read through D/N1 entirely, but I do exist! --- "Scadrial's Cognitive is kind of scary." "Mmm. It does not scare me." "Well, I'd call it unsettling, maybe pretty in a weird way. But then you realize there's the chance you'll fall for eternity, and your stomach starts doing somersaults." Humming. "That is a lie, yes? You do not know how long one would fall for." More humming. "I also do not possess a stomach, and yours are not capable of somersaults. Another lie. No, metaphor?" "It's not a lie, it's an assumption. What are you, pedantspren?" A sigh. "At least you remember what metaphors are." "I do not believe such a spren exists. I would be glad to fulfill that role in their stead." "I... don't know if that was a joke. Anyway. Where are we going next? I'd bet good money it's Nalthis." "Hmmm. More lies. You cannot bet any money, as you are destitute. You lost all of the local currency in your possession two hours and thirty-seven minutes ago, local time." "Thanks for salting the wound, I appreciate it. Also, that is exactly why we're leaving. Now, where do you think we'll end up?" "I do not know. There is an equal chance for every planet." "Yeah, but humor me." "Mmmm. I do wish to visit home again." The sound of dice rolling. "That's.. Huh. I guess you're getting your wish, kind of?" "Ah. This is acceptable." A pause. "You would have lost all of your money again." "...Yeah. I know."
  21. Well then. The competition for Adolin's hand had thinned. ^^^ Who said RP wasn't good for anything? Regarding several comments about me, I agree that I absolutely should not be cleared at this point. However, if you want to lean village on me, I won't complain. Regarding my suspicions, I don't really have any yet. Much of that is because I've mostly only been able to skim the thread so far. Regarding the recent conversation, I'm actually less suspicious of Plum for the 'we can afford a few mislynches' comment. I honestly don't see an experienced player saying something like as elim...and I'm assuming the majority of the players in this game are at least somewhat experienced at the game. Looks like Toucan and Iguana are the current vote leaders, so I'll start my analysis with them as I have time.
  22. Dustmotherr! That harrlot will get what's coming to herr! He's mine! MINE! Aurrana! Come! Show yourr face!
