  1. You should know that the answer to this question is a resounding yes, Rand. I was pocketed by over half the Elims in the AG, by Orlok and Aman in MR28, and Eternum (though to an admittedly lesser extent) in MR29. I’m infamous for being easy to pocket. Len tried to pocket me earlier this game, but he mostly failed, luckily, because I had strong enough prior suspicion of him. I’m not really sure why you’re asking me this question other than to rub salt in old wounds, so if you have a specific case you’re looking at I’d love it for you to be more explicit. Oh—Bort’s defense of you. Sorry, I can be dumb at times. Umm...I acknowledge the possibility of a pocket, but that doesn’t erase the fact that Bort had no real incentive to move the lynch off you if you were village, as you were an easy target if the Elims were looking for a mislynch, and they’d have been unlikely to interfere unless they thought they could take out an even more dangerous or high-profile villager, and assuming that you were a villager, they would be unlikely to find such a target. I won’t dismiss the possibility of a pocket, though.
  2. Aww, no parrot on Bort when the fashion is synonyms? Eh, I’ll parrot Monty Python anyway. Note: none of the following should be taken seriously. “I wish to speak to the GM.” “Oh, I’m sorry, server’s closing for maintenance—” ”Never mind that, my lad, I wish to speak to the GM about this Elim what I lynched not half an hour ago in this very LG!” “Ah, yes, the Prince’s Guard, what wrong with him?” “I’ll tell you what’s wrong with him. He’s dead, that’s what’s wrong with him.” “No, no, he’s resting, only mostly dead. It’s a wonderful Elim, innit? Beautiful profile picture.” “The profile picture don’t enter into it. He’s still dead.” “No, no, he’s resting.” “Resting, is he? Alright then, I’ll wake him up. Hello Bort! I’ve got a nice village for you to massacre when you wake up, Guard Bort!” “There, he posted.” “He did not! That was the IM moving a post!” “It was not!” “Yes it was! *turns to corpse of Bort* Hello Bort! Booorrrt! Wake up, Guard Bort! *bangs corpse against table* Booorrt! *turns back to GM* Now that’s what I call a dead Eliminator.” “No, no, he’s frightened by your yelling.” “Look mate, I’ve had just about enough of this. That Eliminator is definitely deceased. And when I lynched him not half an hour ago, you assured me that his lack of activity was due to being tired and shagged out after a spat of terrible IRL issues!” “He must be mourning the loss of his parrot!” “Mourning the loss of his parrot, what kind of talk is that? Why did he immediately fall on the floor from inactivity the moment I lynched him?” “The Prince’s Guards prefer going semiactive! It’s a beautiful Elim, wonderful profile picture, isn’t it?” “Listen, I took the liberty of examining your Guard, and I found that the only reason he’d been standing up talking in the first place was that his feet had been nailed there.” “Well, well...of course he was nailed there, otherwise he’d run up to those pirates and then ‘boom!’” “Look, matey, this Elim wouldn’t ‘boom’ if I put four thousand volts through him. He’s bleeding demised!” “He’s just mourning—” “He’s not mourning, he’s passed on! This Eliminator is no more. He has ceased to be. He’s expired and gone to meet his teammate. This is a late Eliminator! He’s a stiff, bereft of life. He rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed him to the floor he would be pushing up the daisies, run down the curtain and joined the Spec Doc Invisible! This...is an ex-Eliminator!” “Well, I’d better announce that then.” I honestly did not expect that lynch to produce an Eliminator, but I am of course pleased that it did. I’m disappointed that Bugsy was killed, as he was a stronger village read of mine (which may have been why he was killed), but at least with Bort flipping Elim Randuir looks even more evil than before, considering Bort’s defense of him helped defuse the lynch on him last cycle. My suspicion of Rand’s hedginess with Len and his vote that sealed Devotary’s death haven’t gone away, either. I agree with Sart that Straw doesn’t look very village, but I’m typically wrong when I say that so I’ll hold off on suspecting him unless he’s one of my last options.
  3. Umm...where did I defend Elenion? Also, I’m a he. I somewhat agree with the rest of what you’re saying—I’m not liking the way that we’re focusing on active players, as lynching among them has gotten us no real results, only a lot of semiactives who are content to pop in and slap a vote down on anybody that has been voted on recently with fairly minimal justification. I saw Bort as mostly village, and I was surprised at the utter lack of serious thought behind that bandwagon. We should be looking a bit closer at some people nobody’s really bothered to analyze yet, really look at them, so we don’t waste the game focusing solely on the three or four most active talkers. Focusing only on the highly active players will get us one Elim at best, and a whole string of mislynches at the worst, as well as dooming all the players who are actually trying to solve the game, which kills discussion. In addition, I’d like more people to vote, to help us get reads on people so we can actually solve this game instead of lurching from one lynch to the next.
  4. Hi. That’s me, trying to save myself before the wild swing onto Bort. Not really sure what happened there. I would have very much liked to lynch Rand but it appears he shall survive another round. That may be a good thing, because it’ll give me more time to look at him, but it’s also bad in a way because I should be broadening my focus. Only El has been resurrected, and she was killed by the Elims after claiming Miracle Max.
  5. The point was that Rand stated his thoughts on Len in doublespeak, accusing and defending him in the same posts. Voting wouldn’t have changed that fact. It looked to me like distancing, coupled with potentially trying to subtly give Len towncred. I’ll admit that I’m not as sure as I was a few hours ago on Rand but he’s still the best lead I have. I’m mostly fine with poorly explained votes, and sympathize with the position you’re in, but I’d at least like some explanation of why I’m being lynched, if that’s going to be the final outcome of all this. Unfortunately, it will be others that will examine that explanation, as I will likely be gone for the rest of the cycle. Goodbye, and lynch wisely. Snipexe, I give you the same question I posed to Drake and Rand earlier; other than the votes themselves, why are you lynching me?
  6. Alright, before I proceed I just want to ask each person voting on me: why? Rand is mostly off the hook, as he’s explained his vote, but I’d like more justification from everyone else. Alternatively, I had just taken a strong stance based on past experience with Devotary, and the stance was due to timing and a lot of evidence I already brought up. The fact that my stance is correct is an IKYK—an Elim could conceivably guess Devotary’s claim was correct, and say so in thread, but if this is as major of a “slip” as you’re implying, an Elim could also cast doubt on Devotary’s claim to lynch her or to gain village cred for “imperfect information” or “progression of thought.”
  7. I would say that poke-votes on someone are mostly NAI, and can be prime distancing techniques if used correctly. I would also argue that the way the Len/Rand exchange happened points to distancing. This seems like something you point out and explain, and not something you vote on a person for. In addition, I’d appreciate an explanation as to how my accusation is uncharacteristic of me so I can actually respond to your point. My suspicion of Len didn’t “go into hiding.” I state several times that I think Len might be evil, or certainly wasn’t village, on D2. While it may be mostly related to the Araris lynch, that was the main source of discussion D2 considering he had just flipped as Buttercup, and Len had interacted with him a lot. Finally, as you yourself know, I was struggling to do analysis D2, and didn’t really substantially analyze anybody, let alone Len, and mostly responded to points against me. Here are the posts, for reference: In addition to all these points, I’d bring up that my vote stayed “parked” on Elephant because I had forgotten that the cycle extension was being retracted, and I thought I’d have 24 more hours to place a permanent vote. I likely would have voted Len had I remembered the cycle was regular length, and even say so in my first N2 post. So yeah. I never cut ties to Len, and my read on him was consistent between the first and second cycle, with me consistently leaning Elim on him. Your comments about Len always seemed to cut both ways, and you still came to a hedgy conclusion when you did your conclusive analysis on him. Finally: why did I trust Devotary’s claim? The way it was phrased, and the timing of the claim, indicated to me that the claim was true. While previous claims had no evidence to back up their positions, Devotary also stated who she had targeted each Night, and the claim was made with enough time for a counterclaim to arise. Even if the real Spainiard was inactive enough to not counterclaim immediately, or the timezone wasn’t ideal, Devotary would have eventually been outed and potentially killed by the real Spainiard if the claim was false, which would have sealed her death regardless. Also, since Devotary false-claimed to me last game as an Eliminator, I had an idea of how she did it, and the two instances simply didn’t match up. I’m also curious as to why you’re calling attention to this, since I was the one who was correct about Devotary’s claim, and your beliefs about it led you to kill a strong village role with a last-second vote that didn’t need to be last-second; you could have coherently argued against your lynch and why Devotary was a better target, and was potentially false-claiming. You did none of these things, electing instead to wait until the last second to place your vote on Devotary in a move that looks far more like a hammering Eliminator than a villager concerned with their survival.
  8. I’d missed this when I first saw it, but I very much appreciate the LoTR reference to Elbereth, Doc. This post I feel deserves mention—I think the way Rand brings up Len here is a potential distancing tactic that allows him to respond, and could give them both village credit for being the first players to do “analysis” so early. This is for reference—this post by Rand started the whole Bugsy/Len/Araris exchange that ended up eating the whole day. I don’t want to rehash my objections to the points against Bugsy, but I’ll just say for now that I disagree with Rand’s logic here. I strongly dislike the hedgy way this post is worded. It makes it look like Rand is trying to go both ways on Len, supporting him and giving him towncred while also leaving himself a way to distance himself from Len should the situation around him sour. Also, I’m guessing twtbaw means “too wolfy to be a wolf,” but I wouldn’t mind clarification on all the brand-new shorthand you’re using. This reads as a soft-defense of both Araris and Len, though I would note that this defense doesn’t really hold water with Len at all, due to his usually aggressive playstyle. I could see village!Rand posting this but elim!Rand would have far more incentive to post this. Explains to Bugsy how an Elim!Bugsy could benefit from faking progression of thought. That’s true, but as Bugsy states he wasn’t working towards an Araris vote, instead parking his vote on Len. Nevertheless the tone and sentiment of this post give me a village read, despite both of those being terrible things to assign village reads for. After a discussion on progression of thought, demonstrates progression of thought. Totally not feeding my paranoia. (Slight village lean from this post.) This analysis mirrors his earlier post, and I still don’t like the hedginess, but at least he’s consistent about it. Again, hindsight is 20/20, but Len is by his own admission an aggressive Eliminator, and the fact that he was opportunistic while accusing someone of opportunism is not past him. I believe I even said so at the time. Or Bugsy did. /shrug This is another reason I really don’t like Rand’s posts—these ways of insinuating that Len is trustworthy without explicitly giving his support or picking a side. In addition, there was wasted discussion D1, notably Roadwalker false-claiming Miracle Max, so Rand’s statement isn’t entirely accurate anyway (plus there was an elim in Bugsy/Len). This post would give me a village read if it weren’t for all the preceding points Rand brought up that seemed to hedge against Len’s lynch. The above post was made early enough in the cycle, so there was little reason for an elim!Rand to accuse Len unless this was a premeditated bus, but the hedgy comments from earlier make this seem like a sudden pivot, whether towards a bus or simply attempted distancing on a teammate who had accrued some suspicion. Village in isolation, probably neutral or very slight village in context. The additional flip-flopping on Len is not helping the paranoid part of my brain, but it is pushing the needle on the Randuir Dial towards elim more and more. Rand made a lot of other posts this game, which I don’t feel the need to cover. Suffice it to say that I didn’t really glean much from them, and even if they weren’t strictly NAI I was too lazy or tired to properly read through them. I’ll admit I haven’t commented on Rand’s stuff past D2 but I did read it. However, considering it is far past my usual bedtime, I will not analyze it. I will point out that Rand’s last second vote seemed more like an elim hammer than a last ditch attempt by a villager to prove their innocence/beg against their lynch. I stand by my vote on Rand, and would urge people to look at him closely and draw your own conclusions, rather than leaning on one of the analyst’s observations to make your decision.
  9. I have returned* to activity! *I’ll be pretty active until the 22nd, but from the 23rd to the 30th I’ll be completely silent, and if I’m not dead by then a pinch hitter or inactivity death will be my fate. Randuir simply doesn’t seem village to me. His last-second vote against Devotary was made for no stated reason other than to survive, and although Devotary hadn’t been confirmed as the Spainiard she was the worse lynch of the two, as a counterclaim would have gotten her lynched the next cycle and we would have gotten significant information from Rand’s flip irrespective of Devotary’s status as the Spainiard. Something else tells me that village!Rand would recognize this, and would let himself be lynched to provide the village with information. It is inconceivable that we allow a near-outed Eliminator live another cycle, when the lynch of said person also provides the village with a wealth of information, and the target is very suspect as well. I realize I don’t have a ton of evidence for this, but I’ll sift through the previous few Days tonight and see what I can dig up. I particularly want to revisit the Len/Rand interactions. Finally, I understand that I’m not exactly the paradigm of activity, but people need to post more here. A mass village death due to inactivity is fun for nobody and essentially throws the game to the Eliminators, especially with the lack of discussion that accompanies it.
  10. @randuir, I believe you are evil because you voted to save yourself, against someone who had claimed a village role that would have allowed us to catch Eliminators and against whom there was no reason to try to kill. Village!Rand would have let the lynch kill him to save Devotary, in the interest of preserving a strong village role. I will not shift my stance unless Devotary flips as evil, in which case I will re-evaluate you as village.
  11. Ooh, a QF with AG rules? Sounds really cool... But my schedule is too busy to keep up with this and the LG, so I’ll take a spec link if one is available.
  12. It appears Randuir is evil. I’ve got a ton of IRL stuff pop up out of the blue, part of which involves me getting a photo ID so I can get background checked by the NSA itself so I can go into a high security government coding center as part of a summer camp. It’s a very exciting opportunity, but won’t leave me a ton of time to be here the next few days unless another drastic change happens.
  13. Devotary. Straw. I know we always lynch Straw when we have no solid suspicions...but I think I actually have a decent case against him this time. I will be very unsurprised if I’m wrong, though. Straw has posted a lot this game, far more than I’m used to seeing from him. However, most of it is NAI stuff like vote counts and asking for rules clarifications. While it’s a fairly flimsy argument by itself, it’s worth noting that this is a possible move by elim!Straw to seem active while mostly skating by. Here are Straw’s game-relevant posts: This was in response to CadCom wondering why Straw had asked one of his rule clarifications in-thread. The response itself is decent and there’s nothing really incriminating in there, though I always dislike arguments based on “Elims do things this way, I did it this other way, I can’t be an Elim.” Yes, you can. I really don’t like this post. The first sentence just feels weird, the sentiment is NAI and the use of “our” really doesn’t help my paranoia, as that’s a great way to play on someone’s subconscious and get them to trust you as villager. I normally overlook that because I do it as a villager sometimes, but here it just feels wrong for some reason. The second sentence is moot, as there’s no protection roles in the game, as Straw should know full well, but I’ll get into this more later when I look at his next post. The final sentence is the most incriminating in my view, as it looks like Straw trying to hand Len a bit of towncred by suggesting something that’s false, but will still associate Len with the “good guys” and make him seem more village by “mistakenly thinking” he’s one of the village power roles. 1. Technically, Miracle Max would have to help the village in order to achieve his win condition, so he would be at least mildly helpful to the village. 2. I was meaning that we should think up ways for him to safely pass his scans to the village, without being discovered. 3. I was basing that off of Bugsy’s post, which made a good point for why Elenion is probably village, and possibly the Man in Black. First sentence is Straw looking for clarification about Roadwalker not being Max from HH. Seems NAI. His first point seems obvious, but I could see an Elim or villager pointing that out so I won’t draw too much from that. The second point I vehemently disagree with—other than Val the Spainiard doesn’t have anyone confirmed good to contact, and since his scan only checks for one particular Elim it isn’t terribly useful information to spread—a negative result doesn’t preclude somebody from being another type of Eliminator. In addition, should the Spainiard find the Count, it’s much better for him to simply use his kill on him, as it’ll confirm whoever they kill as evil and not require the Spainiard to have to out himself to another player to reveal a positive result. The third point also irks me, as it seems like a way to deflect suspicion if/when Len flipped. I could see the argument going “well, I was basing it off what Bugsy said, I even said so right here!” The issue with that is that Bugsy only floated the possibility of Len being the Man in Black, and said in his next post that he was likely wrong. Finally, the third point Straw brings up also gives Len a townread. My main issue with this was that Straw’s vote ended up being part of the lynch vote that tied Len with Sart, and nearly prevented his death. The fact that this seeming joke or poke vote wasn’t retracted doesn’t help my read on Straw. The point about not focusing too much on the Araris wagon is...fair, but part of SE is analyzing votes and lynches, and while I get Straw’s point I could see it coming from an Elim trying to suppress information. I’m likely just too far into a tunnel at this point, though. First paragraph gives an Elim read and the second paragraph a neutral/very slight village one. He does end up apologizing later for the unretracted vote, but this is NAI in my opinion because Elim!Straw would still say this to seem sorry for nearly blocking the death of an Eliminator. I’m likely somewhat in a tunnel right now, but I do believe Straw may actually be evil this game, and I am willing to lynch him to find out. EDIT: I will be spending time with some of my relatives from the West Coast from Saturday to Tuesday. While I will make an effort to look in here every once in a while, expect short responses and not paragraph-long analysis, so if you want me to answer something just @ping me and I’ll answer it. (Or PM me. I always like PMs. )
  14. Uh, so I’d like to point out that I did not tell Bugsy to leave Len alone. In fact, I said multiple times during cycle two that I suspected Len more than Araris, and the only reason I didn’t vote Len the first cycle was time. I should have voted Len the second cycle, but I forgot the extension was retracted and my vote ended up staying on EE while I was trying to re-analyze the thread. But I never told Bugsy to back off on Len. Speaking of analyzing the thread, Randuir is somewhat connected to Len based on a quick perusal of D2, but I’m unsure if it’s really a Elim connection. I would expect them to stay further apart from each other, were they Elims. All the village reads on me are making me nervous, as I’m notoriously bad at differentiating trusting villagers from pocketing Elims, and I usually assume the first which makes me very easy to pocket >> That said, I just got two people accusing me, and now I have to differentiate Elims throwing shade from paranoid villagers. Stop making me self-focus so much, guys, I just want to analyze the thread as a whole I do feel marginally better about Devotary, but I’m leaving my vote there as I currently don’t have bigger suspicions. If I muster up the willpower to do a read through of the whole thread, again, I’ll change it. Until then, I’ll do analysis on a few people Rand brought up and see what I can find.
  15. That quote is a bit out of context. Mr Doctor had been talking about how Len had made more posts and gamestate analysis in general, and in fact last cycle he began to suspect Len fairly strongly. I don’t think that sentence is sufficient justification for a vote. I’ve got no clue how we lynched an Elim with three votes in a 20 player game...but yay? It would be terrible if once again Devotary was the only active member of her team left, but her vote on Sart last cycle definitely didn’t look the greatest. Note: despite this fairly incriminating evidence, we need to keep our minds open to Devotary’s response and also spend time analyzing other people. A tunnel, especially one leading straight into a mislynch, serves nobody here. As a side note, I am hereby soft-clearing Eternum and potentially the other two voters on Len, as they likely would have found an excuse to shift off that wagon (unless they were going for a bus).
  16. Well, apparently the Elims aren’t too happy El didn’t save Len. Although with a dead Elim, I’ve got a lot more information to tinker with. I’ll see who defended or hedged against Len’s lynch, and find out if that points to anyone.
  17. For some reason I’m having issues processing the really large posts people are putting out, so I’m doing a bit of analysis on the less-frequent posters. I looked through @Jondesu’s posts this game, and while he’s said a bit, mostly about D1 discussion being mostly NAI, he hasn’t really given reads or analysis on players yet, which I’d like to see. Neutral lean on him until he talks more. @Mark IV said some stuff D1 but has been pretty quiet lately. I’ll comb through his posts a bit. First three posts he jokes around about the bottom of the list being better, and puts a joke vote on Walin for being at the top of the list. Fourth post he seems to advocate for a more Chaotic Neutral Max, because he thinks that would be more fun for Max (note that each player plays roles differently, and a less chaos-inclined Max could have fun joining one side or the other, but this post is NAI regardless). Fifth and sixth posts are both NAI, either jokes or rule clarifications, and his seventh and final post is pointing out an apparent contradiction in something Araris said, which I didn’t really find contradictory. So essentially, the vast majority of what he said was NAI or unhelpful, and he hasn’t really produced reads or significant analysis of his own. Finally, he didn’t post anything last Day cycle, and still hasn’t posted anything tonight. The lack of anything solid from him makes me want to vote him next Day cycle, if he doesn’t show up again, as I think it could be elim!Mark trying to appear as though he’s contributed but not really say much. Finally, if anyone has a PM to spare I’d be happy to talk to you . In particular, if there’s anyone you’d like me to analyze, please ask me, since I’m low on motivation to do analysis this game and you’ll force me to do it.
  18. I...thought the cycle was being extended and didn’t actually cast a vote. Oops. I likely would have voted for Len or Eternum. Doctor’s and CadCom’s analysis is interesting. I’ll read through it again and respond if I can.
  19. I will throw a vote on Elephant Earwax. This is partly to do with me not having done an analysis of the thread, and partly because he’s said literally nothing except two jokes and a response to Randuir when he was poked. @ElephantEarwax anything to say?
  20. I second this. I was crying at some points, I was laughing so hard. (I really should be an Elim one of these days, so I can do fun things in docs.) I’d also like to thank Devotary for doing the RP exchange with me. It was very entertaining, and certainly made the end of the last cycle interesting, giving people the chance to mess with the vote count and get me lynched
  21. That was fun. I said this in PM with Devotary, but I think this game had a balance issue of confirmed good roles being easily proven. It let the Cthaeh slip through the cracks, but I was able to quickly narrow down the Elim team by sheer process of elimination (how ironic). I originally thought the undercover Cthaeh was Alv, but eventually when I realized a Storyteller claim was very convenient for someone with access to the master spreadsheet, I also started looking at Eternum. The Cursed Knife made me more suspicious, and I actually PM’d Alv to see what he thought about it. Then I looked at my PM with Eternum and saw all the we’s and our’s and began to see the successful pocket he had pulled off. At that point the game was over, though. Devotary, I don’t know what you would have thought had I told you that I didn’t have an Archer lined up to kill you, only a Knife that put three votes on me when I used it and a Monk I was trusting to roleblock you. That Snipexe happened to be an Archer was just a happy accident, as he never claimed to me. Finally, thanks to Drake and Randuir for running the game. The writeups were consistently excellent, and it was very enjoyable and tense throughout.
  22. No need to use capital letters when using pronouns referring to me. I only pretend to be divine I think I’ve told you this before, but I don’t have a better idea of what I’m doing than most people here. I’ve only been playing for a few months more than you have, and most people here that aren’t brand new have a lot more experience than I do. This vote was indeed out of character for me, but was the result of a moderate perusal of the thread, and the post was mainly meant to mark off how far I’d read through at least once. In addition, I was hoping Devotary would reply to it in some way, and see what kind of reaction I got, but that never really materialised. As you said, that was mostly a joke vote, and I’m unsure how you read “elim” from it other than a slight change in playstyle. I...didn’t put an end to it, just merely staked out my position on it. While the discussion around it did putter out slightly following my post, that’s hardly my fault, and has more to do with everything that could have been said about it, for the most part, already having been said. Yes, this is correct, I did this vote mainly for information. I would argue, however, that minor suspicion went along with it. While I felt worst about the way Len jumped on Bugsy, Araris wasn’t looking the greatest to me either, so in addition to information gathering I also voted based off my slightly bad read of Araris. Had I been voting for pure information, I would likely have voted Bugsy, as his flip would give more info on Araris and Len than Araris’ flip. Again, I’m not really sure how you see this as Elim-y. I’m unsure how much info I’m supposed to gather with seven minutes left in the cycle? Cementing the vote had to do with timing, and I certainly wasn’t going to spark a huge discussion between the two or three people around that could respond when there’s seven minutes for me to place a vote. As stated before, my previous quietness was due to IRL reasons, and I should be more active now. Issue with this: I’m not you. While I understand some parallels could be drawn in the way we would look at things while we’re under fire as villagers, no two responses will be the same. I’ll look at your points individually though. 1. Yep, already stated most of my inactivity was due to IRL reasons. 2. There was no way I was going to get Len lynched with seven minutes to spare. Wasn’t going to happen. So I voted Araris as the second-best target. I’ve explained this at least twice, if not three times now, and am frankly somewhat tired of doing so. While I could have voted on Len, why would I when he’s not getting killed anyway, and another person I found suspicious was up for the lynch regardless? 3. Oops, just went on a long rant and you say the same things I did in the third bullet. Sorry. 4. I used to think how you do, but now I’m more in the camp that information on vote manipulation is only useful if it’s somehow traceable to the vote manipulators. Since it appears two-thirds of the people in this game possess either Rum or a Dagger, vote manipulation is difficult to track, and a cemented, guaranteed outcome agreed upon publicly by the village was more useful than throwing the votes into chaos. I chose the former. Fair, none of that post should have changed your read on me. Eh. Admitting guilt isn’t really alignment indicative either way unless it’s a straight-up confession. It would have been stupid of me to try to distance myself from the Araris lynch, regardless of my alignment, given my earlier comments. As you said, it turns into an IKYK. This post was mainly just my initial thoughts after seeing that Araris had flipped as Buttercup. This is true—tone shouldn’t make you definitively read someone one way or the other, but it may be a contributing factor. I’m not sure that effort denotes good tone, but I suppose it is one of the factors that goes into it. I did. I asked you to claim in PM Jokes aside, you’re probably right, and now that several people have hedged against Westley claiming I suppose I’ll do the same. While I still believe it would give us information, I suppose the cost outweighs the benefit. I still think they should claim if we’re about to lynch them, though. I suppose my final question is what exactly you’re suspicious of me for. I can’t really find an underlying theme in your post about why I’m suspect or how my posts have been ringing mental Eliminator alarms, so I’d appreciate you explaining that. I think a bit of it was meta reasoning, which somewhat scares me, as it tells me that I’ve been around long enough that I’ve developed an analyzable playstyle and have become *shudder* consistent. That’s not good.
