So...how do you think Radiants do the do?
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah... I can imagine it's be damnation confusing for the gal he's with when Kal suddenly starts yelling at the headboard. Funny thing is, I imagine Syl'd have no idea why Kal was suddenly not into it. Probably, she'd say, "You don't criticize me for giving advice on the battlefield." (Oh, and even if he explained it to her, she'd keep doing it just for lols.) -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
The Night Watcher replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. They understand you alright. Now they compose dramatic sonnets in your name. And it's scary how accurate they are. I wish the snow was gone. -
Makes sense since even though spren are fearful of the Bond because of man's supposed dishonesty, they also seem to revere it for what it provides.
-
And will the Bond promote indefinite changing of character over the course of her life, just as a human change over the course of their own? Or do you think there will be a limit to her knowledge? It seems like there are certain concepts that will always be outside the realm of spren understanding.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
The Night Watcher replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. You get Taborlin the Great's cloak of no particular color. If you don't know what that is, that's your boon. If you do, it's invisible. I wish I could throw knives and shoot arrows with perfect accuracy. -
Notum says that Syl is young of mind because of how long she's been asleep. Is that why she acts like a child? I always assumed the whimsy and child-like curiosity were either personality traits true to Syl or honorspren in general, but after seeing how serious Notum is, perhaps that's just her age? Does this mean she will mature as books pass?

Questions about the last scene with Ash and Taln
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Oh! You're right! So did anyone know they were Heralds? Just Dalinar or Jasnah? Or were the Fused more pressing and nobody noticed? -

Questions about the last scene with Ash and Taln
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes, Nathrangking mentioned something like that in the above comment. It makes sense to me; I just never thought about it. It almost seems as if Taln was going to lead Ash to Dalinar. I am curious as to what prompted that in Taln and what he would've done had they met. -

Unfortunately, no one could understand his strange dinosaur rumblings. Sad and confused, (insert dinosaur name I can't pronounce) went to college to ask about English courses. The terrified professors called the police. He went to prison.- 66661 replies

Questions about the last scene with Ash and Taln
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ah, that actually makes a lot of sense. Is this canon or theory? Curious because of the implication; I was always skeptical of Heralds joining Dalinar's cause because of their madness, but if his powers can relieve them of that, perhaps it's possible. -

1. Why was Jasnah in the market and why did she have drawings of the Heralds? Also, did Shallan draw them? 2. Who is the "Midius" Ash mentions in reference to Jasnah's sketches 3. When Taln told Ash to follow him, he said someone was waiting for them. Who? Subquestion: It seemed like he lost lucidity in the middle of leading Ash, and then that whole thing with Jezrien dying happened. (Seriously, Brandon, are you trying to ruin my solid thug-life rep? Second time I teared up reading this book.)

So...how do you think Radiants do the do?
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
I mean, I always wondered about it. Knights Radiant were prominent back when. Without the whole "marrying into power" piece (marriage as a package deal), just the fact that there were so many of them makes me think there must've been some talk about it amongst themselves. Definitely talk among the spren, anyway. (I'm hilarious, I know.) Perhaps it was a..personal arrangement? Different from Radiant to Radiant? I think it might not just be the human uncomfortable, in some cases, but the spren; I have a hard time imagining Ivory, or any inkspren for that matter, taking spectacle in...delicate matters. -
So...how do you think Radiants do the do?
The Night Watcher replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ha! That's hilarious! I never even thought of that part of it, but you're completely right. And it's probably heaps more awkward when it's a spren like Pattern, who's so innocently curious. -
With their spren watching, I mean. Is that...awkward? or...exciting? (God, that feels weird, even just writing.)

Every time I read Stormlight, I try to figure him out, but he always seems to have another facet hiding away. He tells Dalinar he'll watch the world burn to get what he wants, which made me think he would be go after his goals with cold efficiency. But he seems to be following our Radiants around the world and offering wisdom when they need it (speaking to Dalinar, Kaladin in prison, Shallan after watching Grund's death, Jasnah when she returned from Shadesmar). All that talk about being in the right place but not knowing why confuses me.

It...has to do with the Unmade, right? That's about all I know.

Interesting stuff! But why is she going after Nightblood at all? I know the sword's dangerously obsessed with [DESROY!] evil, but why is Vivenna specifically going after him?

I read Warbreaker, but it seems a lot of time has passed since then. Vivenna is a very different person (the obvious part being that she can fight hecka good). Do we have any information on why?
