  1. "Hey," said Bacon, coming to a stop. "It's alright, okay? It's going to be alright."
  2. "Don't ask me," said Bacon. "Generally speaking, I have no idea." Bacon continued to play the flute as a second Bacon swirled into existence from the notes. "That's your opener? Really?" He gave Malevolence a disappointed look. "I would have thought an expert villain such as yourself would know better than that. Do you truly think I care about the destruction of this form?" "Waaait!" cried Bacon, pursuing with exaggerated strides. "I'm here to help you!"
  3. "Atlas!" called Bacon. "I've heard that you've been having a tough time of it lately."
  4. "Bold of you to assume I have a plan!" said Bacon. "But maybe returning Atlas to the light side. Perhaps a sprinkling of revenge."
  5. "Sequence, too?" mourned Bacon. He clutched his fist. "Someone will pay! In bacon." "Well," said Bacon. "I'm still here, so I guess so!" He pulled out a flute and started playing.
  6. Go ahead and swipe away... if you dare... You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed them. "Atlas? Oh dear..."
  7. "NOOOO!" exclaimed Bacon passionately. "How could such a tragedy have occurred?"
  8. Bacon the Bard yawned. "Oh dear," he suddenly realized. "I've been asleep! I hope some terrible, awful thing hasn't happened while I was unconscious to the world!"
  9. After the style of Bacon. "Even if doing so brings about the destruction of the multiverse?" "Splendid! Here it is," said Bacon, conjuring a portal to his bacon castle. "My hat?" said Bacon. "How strange." He removed it and squinted at it. "How could that have happened?" he asked it.
  10. Speaking of which, @Ashkaloda, ever thought about podcasting? I am just about as busy as I have ever been in my life, but I would be happy to lend some meager assistance.
  11. "If it's just a memory, what does it matter?" said Bacon. He sighed. "It might not even last. Who knows what happened to the first version of this place?" "Sure, I suppose so!" said Bacon cheerfully. "You can come and live in my castle, if you want."
  12. "It would be the first I'd heard about it," said Bacon. "But there's a lot I don't know! Sequence?" @Sequence Bacon sighed. "And what does it matter if I do want to change things? We still need other-me to become me again." "Unclear to you," said Bacon (outside the vault) smugly, sipping his bacon-flavored tea.
  13. Bacon noted the alarms and continued sipping his tea. "Uh," said Bacon. "What?" "Well, I did it before, didn't I?" snapped Bacon.
  14. Bacon appeared in a puff of bacon-flavored-smoke. "Wha' y' 'eed?" he said, mouth full of a bacon sandwich. "That's absurd. I'm a Narrator. Chaos incarnate! Why should I care?"
  15. "Of course," whispers the wind. Remind me the last thing that happened. "Yup," said Bacon. Indeed it is. He can't think of any better defense system than himself.
  16. Bacon sips some bacon-flavored tea inside the vault.
  17. To pin it on me, obviously. Killing someone last cycle doesn't actually speed up your win; if you successfully exe me today, you'll have seniority over IcedOutPenguin and win. With one fewer villager, the situation would be the same, but this way you can frame the lack of kill on inactivity.
  18. "It was my idea! Why would I need to convince myself of my own idea?" "There are better ways to create plot!" Bacon rebutted. "You're clever. I'm sure you can figure them out."
  19. "...okay then." Bacon exhaled. "Better than letting that page get into the wrong hands, right? Way more people would die if the Witherlord got free."
  20. "Time is a flexible thing. If we stepped away, it could all be over in an instant."
  21. "If we do nothing," said Bacon, "things will play out the same way as they did before... and other-me will become, well, me. That would solve our problem."
  22. Well, my pinch hitter target came back early. He says BBB is still evil in his book, so... there we go! I don't suppose I can convince one of you fine fellows to join me?
  23. "The story was not kind to Selene," said Bacon. "Eventually, she got tired of everyone she loved dying, and she just... left. I don't know where she went. I never saw her again. I looked for her for a while, until I realized she was probably better off without me."
  24. "I wrote this story." Bacon gestured all around. "It played out exactly as I envisioned... except for the end. You see, Selene rebelled."
  25. Bacon looked across the room to his other-self. "He hasn't learned yet," he said introspectively. "Still so certain..." he sighed. "And yet, so unsure." He turned to Erryin. "We're going to have to teach him to be more considerate somehow. Otherwise he'll never listen to us."
