  1. Herate inclined her head. That was mordite, she was certain. Shadow covered the lump as Psyder sent it to a safe warp drop. "Shut up," says Jeffery coldly. Shadow whirls around the group as Decrin returns them to the camp. @Channelknight Fadran "I... don't know," replied James. "Fate brought me here, I'm certain. I think it has something to do with you. And maybe... maybe also something about my past."

Honestly, it's a wonder they ever get anything done at all." At that moment, a large metal insect's foot pierced through the top of the tent and planted directly in front of the octopus. "Ah," exclaimed the octopus. "My ride. It looks like my time with you has been cut short." He gripped the leg. "A pleasure to meet you all. Farewell!" The leg lifted up, taking the octopus with it.

  11. "False!" "True! And believe me, he had it coming."
  12. "Excellently done," remarked Psyder. Psyder walked over and picked the lump up. "Raw dream crystal residue," he replied. "If I just do this... aha!" As he held the lump, it turned black.
  13. The robotic cephalopod raised another arm to parry Ellis's strikes. "Calm down," he remarked. "I have no quarrel with you."

Nothing unusual happens to that ball either.
  15. "Excellent," said the shadow, retreating once more to leave James standing alone. The blade let out a hum of destruction as it pierced the fox's core. Light began to leak from its chest- then, in an explosive burst, from everywhere. Around on the field, the silver fires dimmed to orange, then went out. Where the fox had once stood was now only a lump of opalescent metal.
