  1. The arm projected a series of pictures. A soldier clad in crystalline red armor wielding a flaming sword. A pale-skinned man with flaming red hair and a closed expression. A brown-haired youth with a cocky smile and a glowing spear. A familiar blue-tinted figure, clutching a rose at the edge of a cliff.
  2. The tentacle moved up and down- but then projected a person wiggling their hand uncertainly.
  3. The arm projected the image of Dr. Who Octopus's frustration, then the image of the figure, then the image of the teacher once more. It finished the series off with an image of Dr. Who Octopus cackling in glee.
  4. Psyder noted her reaction with slightly narrowed eyes. "You seem disturbed," he commented. "Do you have doubts about your abilities?" James sighed. "Probably for the same reason he won't tell me."
  5. The arm wiggled its tip, then projected an image of a woman writing on a chalkboard in front of a group of children. The arm shook from side to side.
  6. Gukotz groaned. Everyone else had managed to at least find something. Even a pigeon was better than nothing. Surely a pigeon wasn't too hard? For Asnest, it seemed, even that was too much. Gukotz sighed. He hated to do this, but they needed every scrap they could find, if they hoped to survive the Expansion. "Go," he said. "And don't come back until you find something."

    "Indeed?" said the knight, intrigued. "Then let me call my fellows that we may vanquish it!" He withdrew from around his neck a wooden whistle, into which he blew furiously. It made no sound. "Dragon whistle," he explained. The house roars. Beneath them, the floor opens up.

  10. Even if it took four days and a series of recursive subcomittees!
