  1. I wouldn't bet on it. I don't think the Dragon Fang is something that's expected to massively help the village; it's just a way to prevent the village from getting a string of bad luck. The idea with having the Fang be tied to the Village Elders is to encourage the Village use the Fang sooner rather than later, probably to give them a chance to discuss what they've learned . With 14 players, I put about 50/50 odds that one Elder is dead by C4, which is LyLo if the village hasn't found an elim yet. With 2 village elders, the chances are probably more like a 1/3 or 1/4th, maybe lower. And again, that's within the window of when the Fang can be used at all. If the chance is so low, why even bother including the elder mechanic at all? (Unless the point is just to scare us into using it early, maybe?) Although... Thugs. Hmm. Chances seem decent that the Fang was balanced by giving the elims an extra life. Maybe in that context a 1/2 chance of failure if the fang is saved until the last moment is a bit too much... Regardless, counting on there being enough Elders to keep the fang alive as long as we need it is a dangerous proposition. Chances are that the elims have at least one quieter person on their team. We're going to get the low-info person no matter when we Fang. We might as well take a free shot at a lurker while we have the chance.
  2. Professor Jones flicked a finger, cancelling Thaidakar's summons. "Grabbing is not polite," she replied.
  3. My thoughts on the fang: Don't use it day one, but sooner is better than later. The longer we wait, the more likely it is that our Village Elders die, leaving us with no Fang and no elim flip at all. I mean... a dead elim is a dead elim. It brings them one step closer to total annihilation. It certainly can't help them, while it can potentially save the village. If there wind up being a lot of inactives, it's probably worth popping the fang C2, since chances are decent that there's a lurker.
  4. "You don't find them unless they want you to," Professor Jones replied, writing something down on a piece of notebook paper.
  5. Professer Jones looked at the sky and paled slightly. "You should leave," she said. "Now."
  6. "What?" exclaimed Lankin. "How in Verdellia's name do you know that?"
  7. "The Origin," Gerald explained. "To get rid of Fate's geas once and for all." "Indeed," said Lankin, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Surely, you remember your purpose?"
  8. Grace knelt over one of the corpses, knife buried in its heart drawing still-warm blood. She turned to glance at Ji and blinked. His Mystic color- it was much brighter now. Brighter than she'd ever seen it previously. Had her elixir done that? She'd never seen it do that before... then again, she hadn't had the glasses before now either. But what could it mean?
  9. "Who is it?" Professor Jones called. The Witherlord. I don't know, but that storm means it's not safe here. He can find us.
  10. The group was back in the university courtyard. The survey, very agitated, informed the group that they had to get to a safe place immediately. You can come here, the wanderer replied.
  11. The ground rumbled ominously. Above a dark cloud swirled.
  12. Grace watched as Ji's wounds regenerated. Pale flesh. Too pale. It was clear from the state of the room that he'd lost a lot of blood, and the Bloodknife's elixir could only do so much to restore it. He would have been fine with a few days rest, but with the situation as it was... leaving him in this state meant leaving him to die. That left only one option. With a sigh, Grace opened Ji's mouth and poured the remainder of the flask down his throat.
  13. The Witherlord came to the terrible realization that Moni had escaped.
  14. "Well?" the Witherlord queried of Mythos. "Do you have anything better to show?"
  15. The Wanderer triggered the amulet and teleported away.
  16. "Yeah," said Gerald, looking at Ellis with deep concern. "We should be almost there."
  17. Grace moved quickly up the stairs and through the halls, moving to the room where she'd seen Ji's light flickering and opening the door. She sighed, taking stock of his numerous injuries and beginning to administer healing.
  18. Grace looked at the fading light, a familiar blue and red. Ji. She frowned. How had he gotten there? She walked over to the stairwell and transitioned back into the Physical Realm to ascend a story, careful to stay out of the eyes of the occupants for now.
  19. "Feisty," murmured the queen. "Now. What is your name?" The Corpse felt a compulsion to answer.
  20. The monster lets out a choking sound as Ellis's sword chops it to pieces. "Ellis!" cries Gerald, braking the bike slightly.
  21. Grace walked through the wall of the house, examining the occupant and the surroundings.
  22. 40 The <Shadow King> will be distracted for approximately 3 minutes, after which he will hunt down and destroy all who stand in his way. How far will his captives be able to flee?
