  1. Bacon guzzled the potion and immediately brightened. "Ahh! Thank you, Tam. You're a lifesaver." "It is between you and your Author. If they wish to speak to you, they will make themselves known." "Who?" asked Bacon. "Oh, that guy. No idea. Never met him." "I do not know."
  2. Onyx hesitated. "You could ask your Author, if you have communication with them." Bacon approached, looking extremely winded. "Remind me," he panted. "To bring. Stamina potion. Next time."
  3. "Do you want it back? Is it not because of it that Madness seeks to control you?" "Well," said Onyx, "it depends. Some Narrators were mortals once, their memories erased by their ascension. Others simply arose naturally from chaotic-light energy."
  4. "It would seem your friend has abandoned you."
  5. Did Ista leave? She went to the party, but when she returned she would have gone back. "'We' meaning Narrators?"
  6. "Is there any other purpose to your visit, companions of Bacon?" asked Onyx. @oOklA thE shInyYyy @Ookla the Inconclusive
  7. "Simply awake." A crack appeared in the wall with light shining through.
  8. "Join forces with us," said the figure. "With your help, we will bring it back from beyond banishment." "How about we leave him be?" suggested Bacon. "He's probably going to want to wait for his friends anyways."
  9. "Erif remains sleeping in the sand." "There is an ancient power," said the figure. "A power that has been banished for fear of what it would wreak. A power that brings freedom."
  10. "He does not wish to attract attention. There are many who would seek to destroy him if they knew of him." The Void accepts this. "Subversion's choice will be her own." "No, I think it's best you don't bother Onyx any... wait, why are you asking me?"
  11. "He is named Charnyx. He has seen your plight, and wishes to assist you." So it fired them all and hired new ones.
  12. "He will find a method of dealing with the truth. One way or another." The figure knelt. "You have power," he said simply. "My master wishes to form an alliance with you." I will always respect an honest question. Ask. If an observer A was traveling at near-lightspeed relative to an object, and another observer B was traveling at the same speed, but in the opposite direction, they would both perceive each other as moving slower than light. In our universe, an object can't be moving faster than lightspeed relative to an observer. It isn't possible. As for the laser pointer, the only things that are moving are your hand (which I shouldn't need to convince you is moving slower than lightspeed) and the photons that comprise the laser beam (which I shouldn't need to convince you are moving at lightspeed.) The 'laser dot' isn't a physical thing- the photons that are hitting the faraway surface in one moment are not the same photons hitting that surface in the next moment. The existing Void sues for copyright infringement.
  13. "I would not stop you." Bacon choked. "What?"
  14. "He would have to come to terms with the fact that he is a fictional character. Whether or not he would succeed has not yet been decided." "Yes, I am aware. Subversion is, of course, welcome to act in whatever way she chooses. And if she chooses to act against Nogard, there will be... consequences." Bacon seemed to grow increasingly nervous at this comment. "Greetings." said the figure. "I bear a message- and perhaps an offer." He cocked his head, examining Ivisyre's appearance. "...is now a poor time?"
  15. "It was shielded from the chaos of the Thread, yes. They remain unaware because I willed it so." The voice seemed to turn. "Bacon. I recall you swearing you would never set foot here again." Bacon winced. "Yes, well..."
  16. The two awoke next to Bacon and the person-who-was-not-quite-Subversion in a white room with no windows or doors. The last echoes of the question faded away.
  17. And so it comes back to this invader, Charles mused. Which you know nothing of. Since that question makes no sense within the rules of the normal universe, its exact answer depends on the rules of the fictional universe. Since TLT has no rules... well, guess you're out of luck. (Just do whatever you want XD) You are ready? the Ennuller asked simply. She awoke in a empty white room. "Why are you here?" a voice said. Bacon groaned. "I was really hoping I wouldn't have to go back to Onyx's castle..." Reluctantly, he lay down and fell asleep besides the neo-Subversion. In a black mist, a hooded figure waited. Perhaps the one he waited for would appear. Perhaps they would not. @Ookla the Inarticulate
  18. The ground was made of a fine sand. "What about?" asked Bacon warily. "It had better not be relationship advice. That would not go well." Charles waved a hand. Why can you not control it?
  19. "Uh," said Bacon, carefully not looking down, "Why do you want to go there?"
  20. The swarm let out a monstrous scream of agony as it burned, insects falling to the ground in charred clumps. Eventually it limped away, its size much reduced. "Come on," said Bacon. "Let's catch up to the others." So it is a living thing, then. "That's good," said Bacon, "because time is up." The Ennuller appeared as he finished saying the words. Silent energy, perhaps. "Do you remember your purpose?" asked Bacon, jogging up to the pair.
  21. Perfect it? Bacon pulled out his flamethrower. "I see we have similar ideas." The swarm approached, buzzing hungry. "Don't let her wander into anything else dangerous!" called Bacon to Lady Bug as she ran off.
