Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
I thought the game was going to be ending and preferred the village to win with me rather than the elims. It doesn't have to be exactly three players.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
I get two actions, from among a kill, power scan, protect since I have it back now, redirect, and vote shift (removing a vote or adding a vote, see Araris having 5 votes). I also get a one shot conversion of a non-Epic villager to a Corrupted Epic by giving up one of my powers, which I used on TUA C3 when it seemed like the village was winning. My win con is to be among the final three players, which doesn't apply since there are four left.- 1557 replies

TUA was around to kill someone but didn't. No elim kill at all in fact so I'll go with Szeth because he was inactive.- 1557 replies

If you're okay with this plan then I'll vote for you Araris. I would appreciate it if you didn't switch with anyone so that I don't accidentally hit you with a kill.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning

To be clear, "need 3 or fewer players including me left alive" and "winnowing down the player list to two other people" means that I win when there's three or fewer players total left alive, so me + 2 villagers, me + 2 elims, or me + 1 villager + 1 elim, with the village or elims also winning in correspondence to their win cons. If I don't kill and it ends up 2-1-1 tomorrow that's an extra cycle for me compared to killing someone this cycle. Not the worst but I'd prefer not to.- 1557 replies

So you want to kill two of Araris, Szeth, and TUA, or possibly Illwei? I can do that unless we exe Araris while he swaps with the person I'm trying to kill. I wouldn't put Illwei high on the kill list for C1 Stick vote and wasting an elim kill. Szeth has almost nothing to go on, not even a role claim. I did think Araris was aligned with Stick back on C2 but I should probably look at that again, and is also a decent hedge exe. TUA has almost nothing except being regular to start on a team of Epics.- 1557 replies

STINK easily could have put in that kill so that's not the reason to consider Illwei village. TUA did post sort of and the new rules don't specify that players who post only to dodge the filter will still be filter-killed. TUA only voted C4 for Tani for not stealing my scan the cycle I gave TUA Epic powers instead of scanning. Szeth didn't vote until C6 for JNV after liking your and Orlok's C1 votes but suspecting a bus on Stick.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning

TJ told me that she was only immune to my kill the first time protection notwithstanding and that I would have been able to kill her had I hit her twice, but given that she did survive the first time the elims easily could believed she was entirely immune. Thaidakar's kill presumably would not have worked.- 1557 replies

Clearly it was a bus since Stink and Stick were both elims. You, Szeth, and Araris can't all be elims and I'm not an elim so they did have options and went for the bus instead. Even with killing you and not wanting to exe me since I don't count towards parity that would mean Szeth and Araris are both evil and Stick's role is important since it's immune to vigilante kills.- 1557 replies

That was C5 when Stick died so it wasn't safe for her and none of them moved. The only reason they'd do a bus at exlo is if they thought I'd kill one of them.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning

Not sure how that could have been mistaken for only working on elims but he's village so okay. Stink has the same role that Orlok claimed, but we did have Kas and Karn with identical roles so we know we can have duplicates. Illwei coming back from the dead makes being the target of the elim kill less village indicative but wasting a kill on e!Illwei that could have been on a villager wouldn't be a great move. And Illwei was the first vote for Stick back on C1. @Illwei people saw Stink as village for voting Stick C5 when it was Araris (1): JNV Szeth (1): Illwei Stick (2): Araris, Orlok Illwei (1): Stick Devotary (1): Thaidakar where Stink + Stick + elim 3 could have made sure someone else died unless I intervened with my vote + soothe. If the team was Araris/Orlok/Stink/Stick they could have voted on anyone they wanted to save Stick. I'm not really sure why Thaid died since there was a possibility of him being mixed. How does your role point to Araris being evil? Edit: @Orlok Tsubodai how have your action scans been going? Who have you targeted in the past few cycles?- 1557 replies

Here we go with the vote on JNV. Since it's 5-1 against JNV, if e!JNV it's either it's a bus or the other elim is Stink/TUA. I feel pretty good about v!Stink though and definite v!Orlok. Not much I can do about Araris regardless of alignment so I'll hope that's not a problem.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
It's dangerous for me to kill Araris since that could easily hit me instead, so wanting him dead requires an exe instead of my kill. I'm also willing to exe JNV but I don't know who my kill would be after that. I don't think he and JNV would be on a team together, especially with today's vote. If JNV was evil and knew Stick was going to flip elim, asking me not to kill anyone suggests that one of the inactives (Szeth or Stink at this point) is evil since that's who I'd mentioned putting in a kill on. If JNV, Stink, and Stick were all evil they could have voted for Szeth or me and had a 50% chance of success, which isn't that good actually. If it's JNV and Szeth then JNV is being partially bussed today which wouldn't give e!Szeth great odds of winning since the only people I would kill other than him and JNV are hmn actually I can't think of people that are likely to be elims. Maybe Thaid but the early votes for Archer are good. l can't see why e!Karn would riot the vote from a safe 7-4 to a 5-5 tie between Mat and Stick and risk losing what's likely their best role.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
Illwei claimed something about sending a message one turn after his death which could necessitate a null flip, but it's weird that she then flipped regular so maybe their role hides alignment and role on death. I wouldn't expect the elims to have another information denial role since they didn't use it for any other NK. I did attack Dannnex since I had kills to burn, but I think I will be killing someone who wouldn't have died anyway today even though the logic that if it's 5-2-1 the elims win if the exe, my kill, and the NK all hit villagers still applies. It could be 4-3-1 since I'm thinking only two elims have died so far, but if there were four elims alive last cycle they could have hammered and won so that means they had fewer than five to start.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
So it was weird that people shut down discussion of Stick and nobody else went after her past C1. I'm willing to assign Mat and Karn as village because the elims would have wanted Mat to flip if he was evil and e!Karn wouldn't have rioted a vote to Stick and almost get her killed. Illwei dying to the elim kill is a strong indication of her being village. The votes on Karn were mostly deviations from the Mat train which put Stick at more risk, even though the best way to save Mat would have been voting on Stick. Thaidakar and JNV stick out as plausible evils from this.- 1557 replies

I guess I could do that. From 7-3-1 to 5-2-1 if Stick is evil and 4-3-1 if she's not are both better than losing. If it's 6-4-1 now that's game over if Stick's village but I can risk that.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning

Three votes for Stick now, and four after this. Since it looks like Dannnex is dying, if it's 7-3-1 then four village deaths from a mix, filter kill, elim kill, and my kill means game over. I'm willing to take a chance on _Stick_ though since I was suspicious of her in the early game and Archer being evil when they're tied together by Stick arguing for Archer's innocence and Archer putting a key vote on Mat over Stick C1 makes me think this is a good chance. I don't think Stink would be e/e with Stick since the votes were close enough they could have kept trying for another target out of Araris, Szeth, Illwei, or even me.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning

Araris (2): Orlok, JNV Szeth (1): Illwei Stick (1): Araris Illwei (1): Stick Devotary (1): Thaidakar I can take shots at inactives to clear those out so voting on them is wanting to take all of them out. All of them did post C4 at the earliest so none of them will be filtered this cycle. If elims were interested in voting Araris I don't think Orlok is evil but there's no reason JNV can't be that I'm remembering. They claimed regular reckoner after Aman and TUA did but before that was confirmed. I do like some of their posts though. One message ever the cycle after death seems weak for an Epic ability but maybe there's more going on. @Illwei how strongly did you think Archer was village when you were defending him C3? Araris is voting for Stick now after previous history of defending her which is interesting. Karn and Stick definitely aren't e/e with the vote manip here. Not enough red to be sure if the elims were trying to protect any of these players, but Archer voted when it was 6-5 Mat-Stick while disparaging the Stick votes, so I'm thinking Mat is village. Could be v/v or v/e though; if it was e/e we there shouldn't so much green on Karn since there's no credit in bussing someone who doesn't flip.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
The only way Illwei could have proved Archer's claim is by dying, which is a steep cost to test a claim that could and was resolved by killing Archer instead. A lot of the Karnatheon vote happened quickly after I claimed 50 minutes before rollover. Karn and I was something like 5-2 against me with a bunch of single votes before that, and the only person to permanently switch to me after that was Karn. If Karn was evil, the elims probably could have gotten me killed unless they were all already voting for me. You couldn't have claimed regular since you'd already mention having a passive ability that let you survive when I attacked you N2, but there were plenty of other things you could have claimed other than a role that accidentally killed two villagers. The basis for this was assuming that TUA started out as a regular villager before getting a role from me. Having been a regular is the only alignment indicative thing I can think of for TUA. The elims would be invested in voting out v!Araris because he's difficult for them kill unless the elims can use a roleblock/redirect to prevent swaps. E!Araris isn't more of a threat rolewise than any other elim except that it's hard for me to kill him.- 1557 replies

Mid-Range Game 56: Day of Reckoning
Devotary of Spontaneity replied to |TJ|'s topic in Sanderson Elimination
So it's 4-2-2-1 which is not ideal but let's see how it goes. Illwei is more likely to be lying about their role, but there's also no reason Tani's role has to be village. Ash is village. Orlok seems way too strongly opposed to me to be able to NK me, unless he did try to get me killed and it didn't work. Honestly not sure about Tani. I don't know if she's played in a game with an SK before. Asking if I know all the alignments could be an elim worry or a villager hoping for an easy win but even if I did know who the elims were I wouldn't out them since that isn't fun for anyone. Besides the role stuff I have been reading Illwei as more village, which could be lingering from D1 since I supported the Stick vote. It could be e/e since she turned around and questioned the other Stick voters but he didn't take the vote off so I'm not worrying about that right now. I'm going to vote for Tani and submit a kill on a randomly selected one of Dannnex, Szeth, and STINK. Anyone who would like me not to die is welcome to help.- 1557 replies
