  1. can y'all make up your mind for me please some people are strong vil on me and some are strong elim like, some consistency would be nice me too, it's called pressuring. I think i agree with illwei, cin likely vil coinshot. i'm not treating them conf vil though. edit: barring no counterclaim ofc
  2. This feels convenient. "oh yeah, i had a reads post but I didn't post it, here it is, and look! all my reads were right! that means i'm vil!" Who's to say you didn't just write all that up now? I'm confused. Is this in reference to the reads list in the second half of your post? Do you have a more updated list? Who would you peg as an elim, right now, this second? edit: ninja'd by illwei
  3. it's revealed in the writeup. Riven was killed by the spiked, other two were killed by "multiple sprays of coins shot from above" edit: ninjad by TUN
  4. I’ll be placing a vote on Stick for now im walking to class atm, so no time for a full post, but the short version is I agree with what others have said. I could also be persuaded into voting for cinnamon and maybe Mat. Out of those 3 tho, Stick is where i’m landing for now.
  5. that would make things confusing wouldn’t it
  6. i don’t really like this reasoning or well, the reasoning is sound, I just don’t think the evidence is there. I’m not necessarily reading Turtle as vil, but I don’t think their posts are particularly incriminating.

Allomantic reason, probably. Not sure why anyone would ever want to check their past self but whatever XD

  8. turtle is definitely the tineye and when they saw that nobody was trying to solve their puzzle they decided to do it themselves (real post in the works i just wanted to make a funny)
  9. alright nvm i’m effort-clearing kas now vil!kas all the way this is the strangest take i’ve ever seen, especially coming from someone who just said that perma clearing kas based on gut made sense
  10. has he made graphs before though also, to clarify, i'm not saying that this is evidence for e!Kas, just pointing out that when it comes to Kas, effort clearing should definitely be avoided
  11. Kas himself has previously been an advocate against effort-clearing, i wouldn't be surprised if e!Kas is intentionally being high-effort this game just to teach us all that lesson like he literally made graphs that's an amount of effort that is just ridiculous. ...graphs
  12. Terrible Breath Dispensation did not have a good relationship with his parents. * * * Well, that certainly could have gone better. @Cinnamon, what was your reasoning for leaving your retaliation vote on Ash? You just said they "seemed a little suspicious." Wanna shed some more light on that?
  13. i'm in class atm (have been all day) and will be til after rollover, so no time to completely catch up on everything, but a quick look over shows that Ash is in the lead with 3 votes. Looks like the ash train consists of: 1. A retaliation vote 2. A self pres vote 3. another self-pres vote that doesn't look like the best reason for an exe. if i got anything wrong lemme know, again, really rough read through. trying to focus on calc at the same time as this is not easy edit: wait no Xino is also in the lead with 3 votes havn't looked at that train at all, not sure how i feel about that one sec ill try and figure it out
  14. holy crap this is a big game hello i am here now i don't know a surprisingly large number of you| hi my name is danex how are you uhhh i have basically no thoughts atm its D1, not much to talk about uhhhhh Mat because sword vote and my commitment to this joke is stronger than my will to live

  16. I am almost above average in every single thing on the human benchmark

    Spoiler

heccin reaction time is awful though and i have no idea why.

better than it was though, used to be like 12th percentile

i heavily reccomend everyone make an account on this and periodically train the different skills.
it's pretty fun and increases a lot of rather important abilities.

your reaction time is 1ms better than mine, and that’s enough to bump you up 20 percentiles

      what ze heck

      Mat

      Yeah I noticed that lol

      Idk

Maybe a lot of people have done bad in the last week and bumped the average down :P. You should do it again and only accept a faster score than your average and see what happens

  17. I wonder if that will hold true for the role distro SIGN ME UP BOSS
  18. my roommate has read all of SA but no other cosmere. he know that the cosmere exists and that Wit has cameos in other books, but that’s about it.

he just started warbreaker and was all like “wow, i didn’t realize nightblood was a cosmere-wide sword”

    smh

i actually feel really bad for him, some of the best stormlight moments are the reveals that tie into other series, and he missed all of them. for example: (spoilers for literally everything across the entire cosmere)

    Spoiler

the aforementioned nightblood reveal. reading that line where szeth picks up the blade and hears “would you like to destroy some evil today” is INCREDIBLE

azure = vivenna and zahel= vasher
    missed both of those

    Wit using breath/allomancy throughout SA

seeing the trio of worldhoppers at the purelake

and the biggest one of all, the thaidakar = kelsier reveal at the end of ROW
he doesn’t even know who kelsier IS
    brooooooooooo

      Mat

This is why I disagree with anyone who says there isn’t a necessary cosmere reading order…

    2. ThroughTheLivingSequence

      ThroughTheLivingSequence

I read SA second out of them. Didn't understand any of the (spoilers)

      Spoiler

      Seon, BioChroma, Nightblood, Worldhopper things.

I read Mistborn before SA so some thing were like, "Oh cool!" However, the Thaidakar thing had been previously spoiled to me.

    3. Frustration

      Frustration

I read the first 13 chapters of FE, then SA through OB, and slowly worked my way through the rest of it. I have to agree that publication order is probably best for anyone who is interested in the Cosmere more than the individual stories.

  19. Just finished season one of Rings of Power

and i heccin love this show

i enjoyed it from the start and it only got better

    can’t wait for season 2

  20. I no longer like a Wiz exe also we are deep into danger time, cycle could end at any moment.
  21. Wiz canceled their mat vote:
  22. oop forgot to follow the thread rip didn't miss too much, we're fine min 5 hours left. i believe the VC is: Wiz (2): Dannex, Mat Devo(2): Xino, Conq that's not great get your votes in people
  23. i'm making my own system of measurement now because this disgusts me in a good way edit: turns out our good friend Max Planck already did what I was about to do. Define all measurements based only on universal constants. We have a single unit of Planck time, and ofc the infamous Planck length. Just scale both of those up by some number, and derive measurements of speed/volume/temperature from that you're welcome universe edit2: clarifying that when i said 'this disgusts me" i was referring to the fact that units of measurements are gross. not 'this' meaning 'this post'. this post is great. 10/10. good job fadran.
  24. idk how the shard handles .exe files, but here's that text adventure game I was talking about yesterday

theoretically, you should be able to download and open it

its very very short, just a demo.

i'd appreciate it if you guys could playtest it for me

yeah, any user input containing the word "look" just triggers the "look around" message
if you checked the /tip command, that's why I recommended using the word "examine" as opposed to "look"
i think I can find a way around that though.

i'll add a message like "key added to inventory" or something

btw you can view your inventory
there's a bunch of commands hidden behind the /help command
maybe I shouldn't've labeled /help as a hint. It's just prints other useful commands.

      quite illuminating data
funny that you did a / before every input, you only need that for the commands listed under /help
but if /help is the first thing you do, it totally makes sense that a player would think that

'use matches' is also a bit more intuitive that 'light candle'
but i'm not sure how i'd implement that
or how the game would be able to tell what you're trying to 'use' an item on
      hmm

this is rather outdated by now. i've worked on it a fair bit more and know a lot more than I did when I made this SU
just finished my programming class today actually
I want to polish it a little bit more (working on a combat and dialogue system atm) before I share the new version

i should probably look into file security things so that all y'alls computers don't flag it immediately (i promise i'm not trying to hack you....yet)
absolutely no clue how to do that though

  25. I am about to do something no sharder has ever done before
