  1. MORALITY QUESTION:
What do you guys think about consuming media that was produced by a horrible person? Is it moral to do so?

Context: I found a cool band I really liked last week on spotify. Great songs. I decide to look them up, only to find out that the lead singer has some pretty strong rape allegations that have been put against him. (not entirely sure about the validity of those claims, still doing research n stuff.)

so that's obviously not good. But I don't wanna talk about that guy specifically, just wondering what you guys think about this in general.

Here's the hypothetical situation I would like you to consider.

-Bob produced a work of great quality. Book, music, play, whatever.
-Bob is now dead. Added this stipulation to avoid the 'don't want to support this person financially' angle. Bob is dead. they cannot benefit from anything financially.
-Bob did a very bad thing. Take your pick =P, it was pretty bad though.
-The Bad Thing that Bob did still has bad effects to this day. Adding this stipulation to balance out the "Bob is dead" stipulation.

Is it morally wrong to consume the media that Bob created?

I think that if even if Bob was alive, if he was convicted of said crime and in prison, he would not benefit from me consuming his product, which in this case will be music. Also, I don’t pay for my songs individually, so the money I do pay goes to a larger company that already payed Bob for the rights to his song. Basically, if you have a Spotify unlimited account, an Apple Music account, or any other monthly music streaming service, your consumption of his music wouldn’t benefit him, even if he was alive and still in a business situation. Overall, I think that if you enjoy this band’s music, then there’s nothing wrong with listening to it. Even if you are paying this band, including the member who you’re questioning, you’re not encouraging them to do more bad stuff, and likely they will receive justice if these claims are confirmed. So that was kind of off topic, sorry, but what I’m saying is that I don’t think it’s morally wrong to listen to music or consume a product that has been produced by somebody with a criminal record.

I think I would still use Bob's product, but I would make sure that none of Bob's products promote or talk about any bad thing that Bob did.

What I have decided myself is that if that media isn't doing that thing or saying you should do that thing or has anything that you would find objectionable I'd go ahead and do it. My mom is like completely the opposite way on it and is like, "well, no, they did bad stuff, no watch what they did." (in a nutshell).
