Okay, I had to resond to this, becaue I can see this happening, although right now I think Renarin will be Odium’s champion. Either way Adolin or Renarin would work for what I’m thinking. Anyway, Odium needs someone who can beat the Blackthorn. Personally, I think Dalinar is super boss and won’t be easily defeated. So the best way to defeat him is to have the champion be someone who Dalinar is not willing to kill. And those are his sons. Maybe flashback Dalinar would have killed his sons for the greater good, but I don’t think the current Dalinar will. Anyway, so I think Renarin will became the chapion, he already has a currupt spren, and then near the end he will decide that he actually wants Odium deafeated and so he will kill himself. Same thing could happen with Adolin, but personally I think it’s more likely with Renarin. Anyway, enough of that, I do have something to say about the real topic of this post. I also really want Adolin to not be a radiant, but I also want him to revive Maya. I don’t know if I’ll get both, so I appreicate the theory, because at least for now I can be happy to think that it’s possible to have both desires. I agree I loved Shallan, but I can’t stand her in Oathbringer. I don’t want her skills as Veil to go away, but I want the scholar back. She wonders about who she really is. She’s a lot of things, but she’s also a scholar. She loves it. Yes, she would sometimes complain about it in WoK, but really who doesn’t complain at times? Adolin and her doing research together just sounds amazing. I do ship them, but Oathbringer was kind of a let down. Their relationship didn’t build expect in part one, and then they get marrried? It’s okay, but something needs to make it better. Mostly Shallan needs to stop lying to everyone, but mostly Adolin. She can get lying to some people, that’s fine, but she needs to talk to Adolin. Her lies are not good for a marraige. I hope this is solved up in the next book. I disagree, I actally think that the research with her husband could help heal her.

Are these consistent with each other? How would Jasnah or Tindwyl respond to this? (Yes, this is serious, knowing how two great scholars would respond to this dilemma would greatly improve my own scholarship.) Also where can I find sources on the war of 1777? I must get to the bottom of this. Maybe my teacher would also like to know about the fight between the llamas and the alpacas. Wait, you wanted a Roman history paper? Well let me tell you, these are Roman Alpacas vs. the Carthaginian Llamas. Didn’t I mention thatin the paper?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Devout Pathian replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
The Nightwatcher gives you the knoweldge on how to collect the splinters to Honor’s shard, but you much complete gathering them yourself. As your bane you loose your strength (as if you were a dedicat in the Runelord books. If you haven’t read it, it means you are too weak to do most tasks. Also read them, they are good.) You can still do a few things though, so good luck with your quest of collecting the splinters. I petition the Nightwatcher so that I can speak, read, and write all languages including all the ones on earth and in the cosmere. -
Okay, I have a question: why are alpacas better than llamas?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, but in exchange three of your closest friends become puppets. I wish my sister would finish reading Way of Kings. She started about two years ago before I read any of Sanderson and told me how good it was, but she hasn’t even finished part 2. What is wrong with her? -
Who is your favorite villain?
Devout Pathian replied to Lord Meeker's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Denth all the way is the best. I love how he just laughs while he tells Vivenna who he really is. I hated Vivenna’s chapter until he showed up. Then I loved them. -
What I mean by Kelsier’s Crew here is anyone Kelsier choose to have on his crew, so Elend doesn’t count. He can be your favorite, but not for this poll. For those of you who don’t like polls, you don’t have to participate. I made this poll, because I like them. I think it’s fun. I deeply love a lot of these character, so it’s kinda hard for me to choose, although Yeden is my least favorite. I am going to choose Sazed, although I must admit I was tempted to go with Marsh, who I love for some unknown reason. I’ve always loved Marsh, but I don’t really know why since I like reading about the other characters more. Sazed is my favorite then probably Marsh. (I’m also right now biased towards Sazed, since I’m writting a paper on him.)

I have really unpopular opinion of Mistborn
Devout Pathian replied to AngelDeath's topic in Mistborn
I do love Allomancy, but that’s not why Mistborn era 1 are my favorite novels ever. I love the characters and we have a great plot to go along with it. I honestly feel that some Sanderson fans rave so mucha about the magic (which is fine) that it can turn people off. All I remembering hearing about Sanderson before I read him, was that he has great plot twists and great magic systems. That’s cool, but not really why I read books, so I didn’t pick up Sanderson for awhile. I honestly can love a book, even if the plot is predictable. I’ve also read some really awful magic systems, but I love the book anyway. I care about the characters. Anyway, after reading Mistborn, I thought that people really should have told me about the wonderful characters and I might have read it sooner. -
What is your favorite RELATIONSHIP in the Cosmere?!
Devout Pathian replied to TheHeadHancho's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I feel you. I just finished reading WoA and I cried when Sazed found her body. It’s just so sad, and my roommates just don’t understand. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Devout Pathian replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
The nightwatcher grants your boon, but as your bane, you forget what good health is and always assume you have the worst, even though you have great health just like everyone else. O Nightwatcher please grant my wish of “truth, justice, freedom, and a hard-boiled egg.” -

Granted, but all your characters’ names will start with “X.” I wish to be Mistborn. -
You know you are a stick when your siblings are annoyed at your for repeating “I am a stick.”

I voted for Denth, but him and Lightsong are very close. It might just depend on the moment on who’s my favorite. Personally, if I would love to hang out with Lightsong. Denth’s not a good person, but he sure is funny and great. Also I couldn’t stand Vivenna’s chapters until Denth showed up.

Okay thanks @The One Who Connects that helps.

I was rereading WoA and I know what Zane’s spike is, but do we know where he got it?

Haha yeah I also read Secret History before Bands. I don’t really think it’s that too big of a deal. Kelsier is pretty awesome. Bands is pretty good, better than Shadows of Self.

Welcome to the Shard @Ashspren! I feel you about Mistborn. It’s my favorite as well. I also can’t decide which of those books is the best. Have you read Secret History? I know some people don’t know about it, so I try to spread the word. P.S. Beware of cookies, unless you want to be spiked.

[OB] Revolutionary plot twists of your choice

Shallan dies giving birth to a child and then Adolin has to raise the baby on his own, but really Uncle Renarin will be more awesome and help the kid. Kaladin will become a hearld and protect everyone as his 5th ideal. Thankfully we won’t have time to see him go crazy. I really want to see Harmony come and kick Odium’s butt, but I doubt that will happen. -
[OB] Theory about Kaladin's future
Devout Pathian replied to AngelDeath's topic in Stormlight Archive
I sure hope not. Giving your honor to another person is always a bad idea. Szeth picked a good person, but he is doing what he did before with his oathstone. He isn't taking responsibility onto himself. Kaladin takes too much responsibility on himself, so I don't see him follwing Szeth’s lead. -
[OB] Theory about Kaladin's future
Devout Pathian replied to AngelDeath's topic in Stormlight Archive
Thats what i think might happen. Kaladin will say he will protect everyone. People will say he can't do that, but then he’ll say just watch me. He’ll become a heald and go to braize and stop the fuse from coming back. I think that will be the last we will see of him. -
Who is your LEAST favorite character in the Cosmere?
Devout Pathian replied to Patar's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I know I saw that someone said they don’t like the interludes in stormlight and I’m totally with them on that. As far as other characters go, I don’t like Vivenna (she’s gotten better though), Shallan (since OB, I lked her just fine in WoR), MeLaan, who is so annying at times. Oh and I really hate Straff Venture, but he’s well done, so he’s not a least favorite character. Spook in book one when I can’t understand him. I also don’t like Lopen. I know people love him, but sometimes he’s just too much. He can be around for a little, but then he needs to go off screen. -
What is your favorite RELATIONSHIP in the Cosmere?!
Devout Pathian replied to TheHeadHancho's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I would have to say Elend and Vin. They are so awesome. However, they aren’t just my favorite cosmere relationship, but my favorite relationship of all time. They are just so cute. As far as non-romantic relationships go, I agree that Lightsong and Llarimar are great. I also have to put this one out there, Breeze and Ham are just fantastic. Just one of their many great interactions. Kaladin and Adolin are also great, in a non-romantic way.
