ooh, I'm thinking of posting a list on the OP of the characters and their theme. If you'd like to be removed from the list (or change theme songs), just tell me with an @ or a PM!

I'm planning on bringing a gun to a magic fight by getting Deras a high caliber autocannon (namely the RARDEN, I was originally gonna get a GAU-8 but that's a bit above Deras' strength level) this should be alright tech-wise since we have things like spacecraft, and I'm planning to give him these a bit later on when the average power level starts rising again. Not sure where to get one though, maybe the pre-Calamity Reckonerverse since the Alleyverse is timelocked relative to the other 'verses (though I imagine it's not gonna be easy to acquire such a weapon, maybe he could ask some Forger to allow him some sort of easy access to this, I dunno, planning for the future is fun)

Deras began to grow bored again. He wasn't much for conversation, but at least he could entertain himself. He turned to the other man in the grounds, whose name he didn't quite catch. "Hello," Deras nodded, "Deras." He introduced himself with a gesture. "Here for training too?" It wasn't a very good question since that should have been obvious, but Deras couldn't feel embarrassed so he didn't mind.

A simple but fun concept, what do you think your character's song or leitmotif would be? Or if you can't think of anything for now, you could also just describe the song and I could try to find one for you Characters and their themes (contact me if you want to be removed from the list or change the song):

I mean, Era 2's probably gonna go on for a while, so it may as well be permanent (temporarily XD)

would you guys be ok with an OOC thread for miscellaneous fun where we just post what we think our character's theme songs would be (via links to different songs on youtube, or soundcloud, etc.)?

@ArcherI'd also suggest updating Derek Riverton's profile to make him 16 years older since he showed up in SDW, and is the only pre-made character to be used so far. (at @BitBitio's discretion though)

The Silver Sentry, a colossal statue built of stone and metal, and plated with aluminum stood overlooking Wall Hold, a magnificent, shining city that stood against all that was dark and corrupt, the melting pot of cultures from the farthest edges of the planet. The Sentry had its eyes forward, back to the city, the only thing it knew was one command: "Upon call, destroy that which threatens the city, then become dormant again."

Deras lowered his arms and nodded at the man who had stepped out to greet them and walked past him (not at all noticing his fear), and went to the man who was calling out. He seemed to be the teacher. "Deras." He gestured to himself, his now signature introduction. "Hard to kill, likely cannot die. Have large strength, but need combat training." He said to the man. He didn't know what investiture was, but he suspected he'll find out on his own.

Deras realized something: The way he fought, if he was human he would've died some times over, he slowed his run and stopped. He didn't just need to experience more combat, he needed formal training. The place where he met those two strangers and Ida, that place looked like somewhere where people trained, he knew that now. He'll need more training if he wanted to survive and help people that would be in danger. His memory was still vivid and he found his way back to the training grounds, this time though, his clothes were in ruins. He already saw a couple of people in the training grounds. He walked to the grounds slowly, raising both hands and spoke loud enough so the people could hear. "Hello! Not harm, Only need training." Best to preemptively avoid conflict.

Deras hung in a world of unchanging stasis in what literally felt like forever, and in the next, sudden instant he was deposited into a new land in the middle of the day. He didn't fall, he was just there suddenly. He looked around and saw a green expanse, somewhat familiar. In the distance, he saw the same city he'd seen before when he brought Ida to the hospital, yet different somehow. He'd hoped that the group of people from the village that he did manage to help were safe. Behind him he could hear a loud crash and he spun. It was the giant he was fighting with, injured and beaten from their battle but not dead, it got up onto its feet and looked straight at Deras. The sword, he held a sword, where was it? With the intent to find it, he felt something, something he'd never really felt before. Instinctively he reached his hand to the side as the beast charged at him again. In five heartbeats, the sword materialized out of mist and into his hand. He charged the beast fast enough that he slammed into the beast's leg, blunt side of the blade first. He felt the creature's ankle buckle and break, putting it into a kneel. Deras jumped and landed himself on the giant's head, and stabbed the sword into one of its eyes. The giant instinctively closed its eyes but Deras punched through its eyelids and into its other eye, pulling and tearing it out and throwing it away. The giant roared and bucked in pain, the sword in its other eye moving erratically as it didn't find much resistance inside the giant's flesh, shimmering and cutting. Deras jumped off, leaving the blade inside the creature and falling onto his back. The creature struggled more until it fell and convulsed. It was dead. Deras walked to where the giant's head lay intending to take back the sword, but to his surprise it was gone, and he felt it inside him somehow. He summoned it again testing what exactly this strange weapon was. Five heartbeats later, it materialized in his hand again. It seemed he could call upon it and store it? He let the blade go and it fell into the air, turning into mist the coalesced into itself and vanished. The man nodded to himself and looked around again, he didn't know what he had to do, but apparently there was a war happening? And where there was a war there were bound to be more people that needed help, especially when it seemed like there were also strange monsters about. He ran toward the city.

So the SDW thread seems to be drawing to a close (if not already ended), so I think it's a good time to post the Era 2 thread soon, and everyone that still needs to close their character's arcs can do so in the SDW thread itself even while the Era 2 thread is already ongoing?
