Like say someone stored Breath in a piece of bread and that bread was eaten by someone else, what happens to the Breath? In the same line of questioning, what happens if the bread was awakened and then eaten? What about other Investiture assuming they can be contained in something edible?

would we be allowed to make more non-canon threads for fun? For things that seem fun or cool to RP but aren't in line with the main universe/storyline (like my idea for a DA counterpart called "Brightwall")

It'd be really interesting to see how the new characters interact with Deras since he's like a relic from the past, but wasn't around long enough to have much renown or even know much of anything about the time he just left.

(spoiler for WoR) We know a windrunner like Kaladin can use stormlight to heal a "severed" arm caused by a shardblade (and presumably other Radiants can too, haven't read OB yet) So two candidates: Can a gold compounder heal from a shardblade cut, and can someone given a Returned's Breath heal from that same cut?

Derek looked at the creature just take the flame and smirked, then his mouth curled downward in disappointment as the creature started to run. "Hey, where-" he started but the creature was too far to hear. He sighed, flying into the sky and kept doing a few more passes. He would need to leave soon though, he was faster than the shockwave but nukes often also brought EMP with them which negated his powers, and he was definitely not faster than an EMP. He couldn't find more people and flew out of the city as far as possible where he could still see the blast, but not get caught up in it.

Derek watched as the creature dove into one of the blood puddles and heard him emerge behind. Derek turned and was met with a stab that went through his metal like it was nothing, thankfully still not hitting him as the creature's fingers claws were too short and where its fingers were caught on the surface of the steel, not going through any farther. Derek loosed a plume of flame at the creature, seeing how it would react. This might've been the challenge he was looking for, but he needed to see what else the creature could do.

Wow, sparks. Derek hadn't shed his base carapace yet, the claws scratched unnaturally deep into the steel, but didn't hit him. The man grabbed a hold of Derek and attempted to jump into some hole, though when he jumped, Derek flew into the air with a jolt, forcing the man to release his grip and fall a short ways onto the ground, too short to do any damage. "What, really? You wanna fight? I mean sure, why not?" Derek coated himself in an additional layer of steel, and floated down where the man could easily reach him with a jump. He waited for the man's next move.

As Derek flew past, he saw another person, he kept doing passes since even if the warhead itself hit, the shockwave from the blast, which did the real annihilation, was much slower than his top flight speed. The person had crimson skin and was covered in black runes, and some sort of stone-looking armor on him which, as Derek got closer, turned out to be a sort of carapace. He landed near the man. "Hey, they're nukin' the city. You should probably come with me. I can fly, so," Derek said with a shrug.

Derek saw the large beast, looking like one of the giants he'd killed a few ten's of, but larger and had black skin and six arms, but this one was different, he was flying through the area and warning about some sort of nuking? Derek floated for a moment, he was powerful but even creating an umbrella of carapace a kilometer thick was risky, and he didn't like risks. He wasn't a kind person, not an especially caring person, but he knew how bad nuclear annihilation was if he remembered those passing documentaries about nukes being used on cities back on Earth. He'd probably only wish such a thing on his worst enemy. He didn't shed his armor but continue flying, a bit less than supersonic so he could find any stragglers, there weren't much people about earlier when he killed all those abominations, so they might've already bailed, which was good. He made a few trips around the city, going faster until he could find enough people, and flew them out to some places that were also evacuating civilians or out of the city itself, all while explaining that some nuke was probably happening, the city was big enough that just being outside likely didn't make them collateral damage. He kept at it until his few passes at hypersonic found no more people.

A shape coated in an orange flame flew broke through the dark sky and landed like a meteor right in the middle of a few abominations. The arrival sending shockwaves and flesh in a shower of blood and guts, some singed and some just plain dismembered. The figure stood up, clad in a thick coating of steel, like a chunk of metal imitating the form of a man. The figure stood tall and the carapace of steel started to crack and fall, flaking away like dead skin, falling in chunks on the ground and quickly disintegrating. A man in a dark longcoat and light undershirt with leather pants emerged. "Huh. Could've sworn I was flying into a city and not a circus." Derek remarked, looking around at the assortment of freaks around him. A pause. "So we gonna fight?" The abominations started walking near, "Right, there we go." Above him a group of crows began coalescing and charged him, he saw them and breathed a huge plume of flame at the birds, incinerating the lot of them. The more fortunate ones only suffocated and fell to the ground, singed and still smoking. "C'mon, give me somethin' bigger." Some giant humanoids stepped up to meet his challenge, only to be pushed aside by an even bigger giant with four arms. "Haha, that's more like it!" In an instant, Derek coated all of himself in thick steel and flew like a bullet through the giant's chest, leaving a gaping hole, the hole started regrowing, so Derek flew even faster through the beast's skull, where his brain would be which almost exploded its head completely, only the jaw and some skull fragments remained. The next moment, he was 'skidding' in the air, and shot straight through the two smaller, but still large, monsters, also completely eradicating their heads without so much as a resistance. The layers of armor flaked off again as he stayed in the air, though a thinner carapace remained on him. He felt some heat on his side, and saw a thin looking man that had steam emitting off his skin. The man threw a rock at him and the rock turned into fire, doing absolutely nothing to him or his carapace. "You call that fire?!" He asked and laughed, a long, deep, hammy laugh. He sobered, but his smile turned into a smirk. "Lemme show you how a dragon breathes." He concluded. Breathing in, he blew air out of his mouth, which suddenly turned into a lance of blue-white death straight at the thin man. In an instant, the man was coated in the beam. When Derek stopped, all that remained of the man was his shin and feet, which seemed to be melting. Derek felt a strong force at his side, where the steel on him was, looking down he saw a grey humanoid, hands out. Now this, this was a challenge. He could feel himself get pushed back even as he was floating, but it wasn't enough, so he added a much more layers of steel on himself, allowing creature more ammunition against him. Unexpectedly, the instantaneous addition of steel actually knocked the creature back instead of helping it. Knocking it onto the ground, and skidding. "Oof, that's kinda disappointing." Derek landed, shedding the extra layer of steel, but remaining the armor by his body. The grey humanoid stood back up and it seemed to eat some amounts of things. Derek waited for it, seeing what it would do. The humanoid finished and pushed against him with force again. This time, it was much stronger. Finally. He thought, the force was indeed strong, but nothing he couldn't handle, he grew additional layers of steel in front of him and stabilized himself with some of his flight, using it instead as a counter-force so that he was standing still. He increased the force of his propulsion and stepped forward, the humanoid's feet digging into the pavement of the city, it was visibly struggling as Derek kept stepping forward, slowly, propulsion force still consistent. Derek felt the force on him suddenly stop, the amount of propulsion behind him threatened to launch him forward, though luckily he managed to turn it off quickly. He walked up to the creature, currently on the ground. "Good fight." He stated and put his arm above the creature's head and instantly encased his arm in a few tons of steel, dropping it onto the creature and crushing its head. He shed his gauntlet and armored himself again, flying high, looking for more creatures to fight. Derek slew some hundred more abominations in a few minutes afterward.

We've seen it 'eat' stormlight and voidlight, would it also be able to 'eat' Breath? Or Dor energies?

"Goodbye." He was glad he managed to help the woman, though he wasn't sure she should be standing already, but she seemed well enough, and she should run into the doctor outside who would know if she's good enough to walk. She was his first acquaintance, so he did wish to see her again in the future. Now, what else to do? There was apparently a war happening, which would very likely impede in his quest for his origins. He couldn't very well stay in the hospital either, he wasn't a healer. He walked into the hall and found one of the nurses. "Please tell doctor, my thanks, and that woman, Ida, has left. I have also left." The nurse was confused for a moment before managing to parse the sentence and nodded before walking off. Deras found a window and jumped through, walking out into the darkening night sky, filled with rain. With no clear path, he chose a direction and ran.

Ida. He nodded as he repeated to himself in his mind. "War mentioned before, not know where, just heard of war happening when you mentioned before. Not know much about."

"Good." He nodded again, reaching her side. Hopefully the assistant ran out to tell the doctor from earlier that the woman was awake. "Occured to me, that do not know each other name." He said, smiling for the first time. That he could remember, he had never smiled since the time he awakened. He gestured to himself. "Deras, but suppose you might know already."

"You awake." Deras nodded. He was surprised by her sudden outburst, but his lack of regular biology made it so that he did not flinch. "How feeling?" He asked as he approached.

At the nod, Deras stepped back and stood by the wall, not knowing what to do, but making sure to not be obstructive.

When the doctor said that the woman would be fine, Deras nodded, he was worried for the woman, though he did not know why as he was not even acquainted with her. The doctor started asking him other questions though. "Deras." He gestured to himself. "Not know what exactly. Only know large strength, high jumps, and speed."
