  1. Why would you unequip it? It works twice and catches all those who visit you, so it would have caught the NK on you. Ash, Wahr, TUM, did you get any signal from your man on the outside? We can infer the elims cared about the outcome of the L1D3 exe, and the D2 exe to a moderate degree. In that light, Hael looks pretty clear for allowing a tie.
  2. I am once again offering baked goods to everyone who claims masks and actions. I had none and just did some PMing. The first time I spoke in tongues to Mistborn was nonsense. He said in thread I will PM you and I thought PMs were delivered by the GM immediately rather than at rollover, but I didn't get one, so I thought it was some bluff we were doing. Can confirm he told me about the scan plan targeting Burnt. Agreed on exing suspects being the priority.
  3. Clearly the postman mixed up the letter. I wrote a K and you can't prove otherwise
  4. Ngl I woke up and chose chaos, but there was some underlying logic. Wonko also got the puzzle, but he hasn't posted at all, so it's NAI not to mention it. Stick and Doc don't seem to be e-e, based on this exchange. I'm going to give Stick a gentle village read for not being paranoid. There are two possible solutions when you rearrange the letters into three three letter words. One is YOU WIN EOD. The other is YOU DIE NOW.
  5. I didn't sign your name, so it's technically not fraud
  6. Relatable. We have an impending issue once the Blast Mask is donned. It is best used as an NK trap. Unfortunately, PMing the wearer will cause you both to die. @Amanuensis does the Postman target players on behalf of senders or do players target others directly with PMs? If multiple people target the wearer, does everyone die or just the first? (Group suicide strat might be in play) Edit: D1, I'll give everyone who claims their masks and actions a delicious, home cooked meal from the wrong Zelda game
  7. "You fellahs are dead meat!" Ouae helpfully spectated. "Just like my Copious Meat Skewers. Just shove a bunch of meat onto a skewer and you're good to go." She felt the compelled urge to do something. "What do you expect me to do? You think all Zora have a special combo move we can break out on a whim?" She waved her limp skewer. "I heard waterskins helped against the Gekoskeletons. Here, as you go to your deaths, take the POWER OF WATER! (Represented by me misting you gently, like I would a troublesome cat)."
  8. I thought we had another 24 hours until rollover... If we all RP getting the boss mask, Aman has to give it to us
  9. I'm going to petition Aman to give me RP rupees for that performance. He didn't give me one for the elims that were secretly snakes, but we'll see I also didn't realize the postman gets to see who sends messages. Thank you for not calling me out on my lie about receiving six PMs D1. There was a strat I considered where an elim burns their rupees spamming messages, then gets NKed, but that would ruin it. That makes me trust it less, but I've moved on and am incapable of retrospection I think it's time for us to post our lists of people we'd be okay killing: TJ, Hael, Stick, Hoid, Divergent, anyone I've forgotten exists
  10. I was the victim of a phishing attempt. Yes, it can happen to anyone. Doc said something like "I vill ask zee nicely, which of zee masks do you have? Waz it zee one zat blocked zee NK?" My hesitation about Doc is that attempt at doing analysis they had where it was literally just a summary of what happened. On paper, it's the worst type of analysis because it's the opposite of what you should be doing, which is filtering out 90% of info as NAI and focussing on the strange. But my experience is that villagers tend to try that approach much more often than elims do, as a mental crutch to get in the game. Counterintuitively, I'd have trusted it more if they hadn't followed up with the reads list, but I still trust that type of effort. TUM. Doc.
  11. So we can just exe them a fourth or fifth time before they get the chance to spend their money. I do like how that mechanic works, kudos to the GM What's your gut feel on whether he is village or not?
  12. By defend I meant dilute the suspect pool with villagers. It's a hard sell to get us to exe the NKed folks before we exe Wahr every time forever. You're almost better to give us one then trust we'll miss our four attempts at hitting in the 15 person pool, assuming E!Wahr doesn't lead to obvious teammates to exe. Circling back to Ashbringer, I think they were on track to exceed 20 rupees. Anyone get a PM from him that would have lowered his count? I doubt they'd kill E!him if he got a mask.
  13. Let's all accuse each other now; we're being too theoretical. m8 you're never beating the allegations. I can see why people think you're an elim (that's a compliment) Counterpoint, low poster has less to lose in terms of rupees. NKing elims early L1 when they stand to lose the least and get 20 in compensation is good play. Was Ashbringer going to hit 20 this loop? We can put a pin in this until L2. Is Wahr worth defending, now that they know there's a village appetite to exe them? Genuine question.
  14. @Ashbringer same reminder that you don't know who may be added to the doc later, but on the off chance you become a trust circle, it's worth strategizing together in there. Suppose the elim kill was blocked N1. Wouldn't you skip this kill to hide that? The obvious read is E!Wahr, and they want to dilute the pool. Whoever was sussing Ashbringer last night can have some free village cred, no point making waves of you're about the murder them Correct, correct, incorrect, okay, that's false information. I was sorely tempted to send some PMs last night pretending to be other people, but I didn't because I forgot to. It would be really helpful if y'all would sign your names to your letters. Doc gets a vote because when I said let's kill Hoid, they said ok but it won't do anything. Why not just say ok sure. You scared to actually make a counter wagon with teeth?
  15. "Eat from these kitchens? Nonsense, they probably don't spice their fish or char their sweet grass." Ouae paused to laugh at the Star Trek joke, before pulling a bussel of weeds from her pouch. "Fried wild greens are all a growing Zora needs. A basic vegetable dish made by sauteing fresh wild plants...." * football Isaac Stewart marmalade You ever go through a drive through and they tell you the thing you want to order isn't available? And there's cars behind you honking while you make up your mind? So you say 'just give me whatever's popular' but that's got pickles (you hate pickles). Eventually you settle on the fourth most popular option just to get out of there with something TJ showing up for rollover after a quiet day is interesting.
  16. y'all have better things to spend your money on than sending me six PMs I definitely misunderstood how those work, btw * monopoly waterbug pretzel
  17. @Wahrheitswächter you can figure out who has the mask that lets them spy on your doc by asking them to say a specific, obscure word in thread. They likely will if they're village. Everyone else, if you could oblige by saying a few nonsense words next round for cover. Be mindful that you don't know who might join you in the doc later on. Thank you for your sacrifice!
  18. I agree with Divergent that Wahr and I are probably teammates. Wahr’s play is unusual. Wahr’s player mindset is solely focussed on personal success. Their retaliation votes are indiscriminate because they’ll do anything to save themselves. There’s an underlying entitlement that thinks if they play perfectly, they don’t deserve to be voted on. Here, for example, they focus on why being in the suspect pool would be inconvenient for them personally, rather than the upside that might come from personal sacrifice. They’re also prone to logical fallacies: Incorrect generalization Ad hominem Appeal to authority Slippery slope I don’t know that their elim meta would look much different from this. The volume uptick is making me pause most of all. And given the lack of alternatives, I understand the urge to vote for them. I can’t bring myself to do it. I think we're probably village teammates. Hael Hoid @Doc12?
  19. No offence meant. Asking politely to be unvoted is a hilarious move which I wish I'd thought of first Stick / Honors Ghost Hael I do actually want to give them time to get in the game, so we continue moving through the list of people I don't actively village read. (stick, I'm only pretending to unvote you so I can stab you in the back when you least expect it. This is merely a stay of execution)
  20. Stick (in all seriousness, best wishes, HG!) flawless strategy, no notes
  21. I have been summoned! My last two votes are process of elimination, targeting the pool of people I don't have a village read on. Then Burnt mindmelded with me. I feel like an elim making up reads would have found reason to suspect someone, while being too generous with clears seems villagery, based on my own experience. And Araris unvoted the top two trains with no followup, matching my personal read of Wonko as village. Hard for him to defend a teammate via counter wagoning now that he's discarded the two easiest mix options. Seems village. So I went for Honor, who there was some appetite for earlier. I'm throwing stuff out there to see what sticks, given that I'm up for exe right now. If you get the chance, I do want feedback on my clears list. I've likely miscleared at least one person, given how my POE pool looks.
  22. Aye, it's villagey. We occasionally do cultural exchanges with Mafia Universe. Their players give us terms like derp, we give them a yearly sacrifice (good luck, TJ!). Burnt did the exact thing I did: try and come up with some suspects and somehow come away thinking most everyone is village. Araris
  23. Your telling me the elims can spy on my dead doc, I can't make a convoluted code system, and I could have requested a cool mask last night? I'm turning the dead doc into a 16 pages of memes and you canr stop me. @Mistfallen Soldier Agreed on 1 and 2, let's put a pin in 3 for a while. But I'd do it.
  24. How about some reads, huh! Derp Clears —Village: Mistfallen Soldier L1N1, Mistfallen was confused whether or not an NK occurred, which wasn’t yet possible, as an elim would know if they had been coordinating who would put in the kill. The edited self depreciation sells this as genuine for me. —Light village: Honor’s Ghost L1N1 seemed not to realize deaths weren’t possible yet. This tracks for a genuine low active, rather than a lurker. —Light village: Coder L1D1 and beyond, Coder references their relentless pursuit of rupees. I think that on balance, drawing attention to yourself so much feels villagery, although I’m careful to call self-conscious behavior villagey. Elims Wouldn’t Say That: –Village: Coco L1D1, they discuss skipping the NK, which was the ultimate course of action. I doubt the elims would bring it up publicly beforehand. Bonus comment: L1D1, they ask if there’s anything left to do. That’s presumably on the elims’ minds, but it’d be weird to ask the same question publicly. —Village: Wahr L1D1 they discuss skipping the NK, which is a conversation best kept in the elim doc. —Light village: Doc L1D1, they made this comment which I can’t imagine them sharing if they had an elim doc to put it in. Light read because Doc’s cheeky. Situational and Other Reads —Very light village: Divergent L1N1, they made this post asking for permission to share their thoughts, which they later did. My theory would be that an elim pushing the pace just suggests it, while Divergent saying they’re ‘mulling it over’ feels genuine. This is easily mistaken for an elim trying not to catch similar heat to Wonko and I, so it’s a light read. —Light village; Wonko Situationally, choosing not to NK when you’re under suspicion means you’re likely to end up in a pool of four suspects, rather than five. There’s still reasons to do it, but it’s risk. *** I'm left with a POE of TUO, Araris, TJ, Ashbringer, Hael, Burnt, Hoid. Is that because I'm less likely to ascribe derp clears to players who fit the meta I'm familiar with more? Is it likely the elim team has a better mix of new and old faces? Probably. Lets discuss where I've gone wrong! Also, I realized I clocked that one Unknown post because it didn't have any dialogue in the RP. Probably a false positive from my pattern recognition subconscious.
