  1. I'm here. I noticed that the tie pool shrunk, is that what we're going for? Steeldancer to avoid being labelled a stinky vote manip man I thought TJ wasn't the PM Spider.
  2. I'm genuinely against working through the scenarios here and now I'm trying to figure out what page you stopped looking for reactions on, because I said this on page six:
  3. I was just thinking that it's a convenient way to dilute the pool with villagers if he did trick the scanner Agreed but let's not discuss that bit I definitely theorized about this, Where's your cut off? And you compiled all that and didn't come to any conclusions? Also. Y'all are really testing my stamina for analysis with these reveals >. >
  4. That tests the Araris vote adding thing too, which is nice My guess is you're some kind of Thug? But the implication is that you're willing to waste this exe and our time instead of trying to clear your name. If you have an information gathering role that requires your exing to work, I'd rather you just say so.
  5. I've been claiming PM Spider since before this game began. I stand by it. That does sound like an excellent thing for someone to claim now if they get scanned as evil. @ everyone, claim it now or I won't believe you later if you do. Laughing very hard at "Bottom Text" My money is on Steel hoping to get Striker's other role, then failing and getting Lynchbait, then staying quiet about it to avoid outing their team Real talk, these questions have caused problems this game, while contributing fairly little, so they're better off unasked. I'd thought about bots not being able to lie, but I think the Tani thing was an OOG effect, not an internal one. I'm not a bot because I solved your pathetic picture puzzle: Ahem. *points to thread page count* That's on you. :P. Prepared for what?
  6. So I've now realized that I made a mistake. What happened was I announced that I had scanned TJ. Aman announced that his PM Spider scanned Mat. Then because I'd told Araris that I scanned TJ targeting Mat, I thought that I'd publicly said that part too. Sorry about that. I'm also genuinely confused about who the PM Spider who talked to Aman is You might be going about this the wrong way. Because Xino was RBed N1, he had to die is also a possibility. I'm wondering if there's some SE Buddy like shenanigans going on where players start knowing a Fact about another player (some got lucky and got alignment) but an elim got Xino's role, which they blocked then killed him for. A roleblocker you say! Wait you didn't block Aman because you targeted Mat. And I doubt I was Trolled. PM Spider gets a random tidbet of info about their target every other Night. This was my first go at it.
  7. So you're saying you see the attempt? At times like these I wish I knew the OOA Also TJ targeted Mat yesterday. There's no way they don't figure that out from the context clues here and it adds serious credibility to their claim
  8. Actually I got your role. What's an Overthinker? :3
  9. I can confirm Araris told me they intended to do this last cycle in our PM. Which I'm mentioning because I scanned TJ yesterday and would like to know if they'd like to confess anything. Anyway, odds are either Orlok is innocent or Araris is evil because two Trolls is a lot. Although hello random Fadran claim that I don't like the timing of. It's a dichotomy that means we can ignore them until later. Best case scenario is both village, worst case scenario is its a guaranteed elim flip later. @The Bookwyrm I think you should take Mat up on his generous offer from earlier to be scanned. Not liking them and Silh lining up CW votes for Steel but they're either a valuable asset or a priority target and a scan would be a good resolution to that. On that note, slight suspicion that Bookwyrm was trolled since they weren't attacked, but again, e!Araris for later if so.
  10. Ack, dead peopel I've been staring at Tani's claim for like 20 minutes waiting for this thread to go up and I still don't know if I believe her. The gut says fake, but you can't trick the elims into thinking you're an elim. But then the implications of it being true are game throwing due to boredom? Assuming not, I'm inclined to agree with the angle that it props up Stick's credibility - but then why did Stick kill them N1? It's too late for not knowing your teammates and I doubt it was a different type of kill now that we've seen consistently two kills per round. I appreciate y'all making efficient use of your pages though Why? and also, explain that bit about Stick Edit: I misread TJ's tone, never mind that first bit
  11. Wow that sucks. But if Sart added a vote, they knew or should have known it was 1. confusing to Striker's experiment and 2. pointless compared to the 6 votes on Danex. Therefore Sart is evil, game solved Edit: or it could be that. Honestly I'm relieved to get that flip, that's good for my peace of mind I really need to divert some energy towards schoolwork tomorrow so I'm taking the Night off
  12. It's cleaner not to have any votes on them, in case of e!Striker and a vote doubler role that's different from Stab voter they're kinda dead Walin TJ
  13. I had a strong urge to exe Walin now This. We can afford to wait a cycle to see which of them gets their alignment revealed
  14. I don't know who the mad watcher is but I take it he's excitable? I'm partial to the elim troll and goalkeeper theory Aman raised. By the way Aman, you received 3 PMs and haven't raised the possibility of any of them being an elim looking to make contact with the neutral. Wassup with that? Would you mind leaving a vote on Silh for me while you decide? Mm yes a very valid offer in a game that might have an elim troll At this point my gut says village Aman, Stick, Wiz, and Mat. Again, copying strategies from the anon game, checking the most talkative people with scans or removing the most suspicious ones is probably the way to go. That's how I got caught as Croc. One of them has to be evil, just based on how distributions go and the need to keep at least one hand on the wheel to avoid a car crash. I don't see all four of those players being innocent
  15. The point is that you reacted differently than most other people. You bit first on the yellow text but joked about it instead of outright prodding. You then had a nuanced perspective on the full claim, which stands in contrast to the outright acceptance or rejection of most other players. That's what makes you an outlier. Your excitement read as TMI - as if you already knew about the football roles and were faking excitement. I'll that there's some difficulty because of elims having advance warning because they have a football role on the team, but my understanding of the method is that it's premised on the idea that elims react differently, TMI or not. I have two concerns about switching from Silh: -We let Fadran off last cycle basically on tone alone, which signalled the effectiveness of the kind of strategy Silh is using now. -I think that perception of time is being warped by space. Thread length is giving a false impression of how much conversation people have engaged with. I don't think it's necessarily true that most of the elims have meaningfully engaged with the possibility of Silh dying. The three ninjas waiting for me when I post this help demonstrate that. :P. But all this is moot because he's out-waited the interest of the thread. So silh TJ
  16. I also remember dealing with Aman the elim pinchitter in a game I lost and I don't care to repeat that experience. :P. The best game to pull off a gambit you're extremely capable of is one where it flopping doesn't expose your teammates through your flip. * Borrowing Kas’ thing. The general idea is to group reactions and look for outliers. Generally elims have moderate responses. Note: this only has a proven track record with villager claim gambits. I’ve removed Aman and TUN from the pool because they have TMI as soccer players themselves. Of the folks who responded within a reasonable time frame, we had the following reaction to Aman’s post claiming the details of the Referee role: Accept and ask clarifying questions: TJ, Stick, Mat Light acceptance: Devo, Wiz Ignore: Bookwyrm, Randby, Fadran, Steel, Fae, Ashbringer Lightly reject: Araris Reject: Striker, Xino, Orlok Wiz notably used the word ‘claim’ a few times when describing Aman’s claim, then I think took inspiration from Aman and start dolling out information in a similar fashion, which is possibly recognition of the benefits of what he was doing. Tonally, TJ and Orlok occupy very distinct ends of the spectrum. TJ was ecstatic while Orlok seemed very against the whole thing. This two responses were the most surprising for the level of conviction behind them. Factoring in reads, we’ve got villagers in most of the groups (eg Randby, Striker, Devo…). I’m inclined to believe a generic elim would show some level of skepticism about the opportunity, either through rejection or questioning. The ignore pile looks about right. Steel and Ashbringer are the outliers in it, but if the criteria is lower activity or less experience, it’s a consistent pile. Based on that criteria, I'd kind of expect Xino to be in it as well, but they had 15 posts D1, which takes them out of their typical low profile position in terms of activity (I'm not considering substance, which I'm aware is a separate issue). Unfortunately I’m left looking at Araris and Wiz, which are two people we shouldn’t exe today because of Lynchbait.
  17. @The Bookwyrm can you explain the motivation behind this vote? What was the vote/role interaction going on here? @Devotary of Spontaneity who is Temptation, the person you voted for D1 at one point? someone @ me if Aman goes 24 hours without changing this story and I'll believe it
  18. Why is this alignment indicative? A better argument would be that they presented the information freely. Why can't they be a elim PM Spider and making up the other role? Or swapping out the real name they were given for another one? I want to read you based on your solving, so I guess that's a start. Why do you find Aman suspicious?
  19. Couldn't an elim correctly guess you're a villager? I don't see E!Aman asking e!TUN to fake claim to double down on a gambit they were going to pass off as a reaction test later anyway. I also don't see e!TUN fake claiming for the lulz when they're wary about a v!Aman trap. So therefore v!TUN if soccer roles are fake. Aman could be evil still. They soft backed off of the gambit slightly too early by asking Wiz to PM them.
  20. May I direct you to this hot take from D1: I'm confused why Fae forgot to PM the person they knew could be trusted but this kind of confident analysis fits with their claim. Maybe it's just you get a random fact and Fae got lucky? Or maybe this is in lieu of scans. Edit: option B is they're an elim with TMI but like. Why do this
  21. I can see the elims wanting to avoid creating a confirmed good (because they were NKed) nemesis out of someone more talkative, if they knew that no one was going to be silenced this game. Fairly sure it was a squirrel, but good guess. Do you have any indication why you died? I was thinking about Striker's death last night and I want to dig deeper into that. If e!Striker had an elim vote for them, they'd want to clear the person by better explaining their intentional suspicion drawing and by ending the bit earlier in the round. Remember that Striker didn't know they'd be around to explain all this later. Or they could say nothing because it's bad to be tied to someone we exed out of suspicion, which I'd argue they didn't do by providing some hints at their role. If e!Striker only had villagers vote for them, they say nothing at all because nothing will happen - but we expect an impossible to fake vote today. So based on the execution of the strat, I lean towards v!Striker. Do we know if Lynchbait works every round or just once? Assume v!Striker for a moment. And v!dead people. It's interesting that it became a runaway in the end. I'm surprised about Orlok's vote here being a vanity, and that TUN voted at all. The two voters on Striker I'm most suspicious of are Bookwyrm and Shining - the others are village methinks based on my reads. But that's a mostly village generated wagon saving e!Bookwyrm if it's the case, but I need to recheck how EOD played out. Aman Shining
  22. Oh no, four characters died! Which of you was NKed? Say nothing if you're not Zombies Wait did Devo use the RPer role to become a Zombie?
