  1. A gust of wind caused one of the kunai that was thrown to slash Kalmar as it flew by. It was painful.
  2. Welcome. Nice profile pic. Who's your favourite character?
  3. Sure @Leyrann. It is done. So what's your final height? 167cm?
  4. WE HAVE A SUBFORUM NOW! THE OFFICIAL LIST IS NOW BEING KEPT THERE: ALL THIS STUFF BELOW MAY NOW BE OUTDATED. I get it. This post is hard to find. That's why I've started putting this stuff in my 'About Me' page, accessed through my profile. (Link to other copy) Thanks to the many people who have expressed an interest in the Alleyverse. Please post your character on your About Me page, or in your signature as well. Descriptions on someone's profile/sig are to be considered the most recent version of one's character if there are any discrepancies. Please contact me if you'd like an alteration or addition. Additionally, please contact me if you change your username so that I can update the list. The following are Alleyverse characters: @The Awakened Sloth @5ith Ideal @Kaj @JacobClaessen @Inklingspren @EddyJ @Arlin @Nerd3.14159265358979 @Thunderclast @Merrickz @Jehoiada @Blazenella @MacThorstenson @Archer @Leyrann @Mraize @Nohadon @Grey Knight @Gancho Libre @Kidpen @The Forgetful Archivist @ShardBreaker @MoHaam @I think I am here. @I am Witless @BitBitio @Blazenella @LIFE&DEATH @Rebecca @Stormblessed Dolphin @PrinceDusty @kenod @BringerofShadows @Hydra @AxeliustheGreat @Silva @Jackson son of nun @Amalek
  5. Wayne and hats. Or Wayne and unsuspecting minor characters. Wayne and anything/anyone really. Did I mention that I like Wayne?
  6. Only in Alcatraz... (And maybe Reckoners. I'd take Prof with a sword over prof with a gun any day)
  7. I can mediate if you'd like. At least until someone else gets here. I promise to be unbiased. @Mraize @Kidpen
  8. There's some cosmere equivalents of big guns. Crossbows. Coinshots. Mistborn Era 2 guns (like the one Wax used with the anti-pewterarm bullet). Reckoner's tech. Offensive lenses. Lashings. But swords work too.
  9. I approve this.
  10. Can @Grey Knight change it to Shardplate?
  11. @Gancho Libre Character approved
  12. *cough, cough* don't assume genders online *cough, cough* @Gancho Libre forgive my ignorance, but what does an electrum twinborn's powers do?
  13. I'm cool with fighting you as an independent.
  14. ^ that describes my life. Welcome to the Shard! If you were to make a cosmere themed piñata, what would it look like?
  15. If you know a Dungeon Master, or someone who knows a lot about D&D, that's a good start. There's a book called the Player's Handbook that explains everything you need to know in detail, but everything is online these days so if you don't have a copy, no big deal. Your friends can probably explain most things to you as you go. (learn what version of the game the people you know are playing, there are subtle differences) Technically, to start playing, all you need is a character sheet. This is a page that you make explaining what you're character is, their hp, their spells, their equipment, their money, their bonuses, their skills, their alignment... everything. You can find it online, and the numbers on it are generated by your class and some one-time dice rolling. To learn gameplay, like the round system, initiative, attacks, rolling (and why there's so many sizes of dice) I'd recommend sitting in on a game just to watch. You'll learn pretty quickly that the game boils down to kill everything you meet and steal their stuff. (personal recommendation: be an elf. Their dexterity bonus is amazing. And I like playing as a cleric. Wizards may have better spellcasting ability, but are otherwise useless in a fight. Clerics can stab you, save your soul, and kill you with magic. It's a win-win.)
  16. Mace drops character. YOU VOTED AGAINST ME? HOW DARE YOU?!? That's okay, I would have done the same thing myself if I was in your shoes. Postgame thoughts anyone? Ways to improve the system? For a game without a mediator, that went pretty well. There was a hesitance to harm the other player (mraize would say 'hacked at Archer' instead of 'hacked off a limb') This changed the dynamic, made it more all or nothing. To win you needed a checkmate instead of a series of small victories. Mraize's fighting was well done. It was creative, effective, and he reacted well to any ahem surprises. I especially liked the different weapons he formed. I expect had I attacked him more traditionally he would have gotten more swordplay in, but what we did worked well too. Italics to share your thoughts works well. If you wanted to plan an attack, Eg sweep his legs out from under him when he teleport, you could put it in a spoiler tag so that the member you fight doesn't see it, but you still get credit for having successfully for the eventuality that transpires. The arena is a good location to fight in. That said, anyone who needs metal to fight (coinshot etc) will need the locations of any metals around the arena laid out for them prior to the fight.
  17. "I'm sure we'll meet in battle soon enough Rhazien. Next time, I'll remember to bring a weapon."
  18. Spit in his face, a small voice in my head whispers. I ignore it. After trying to wiggle free of my restraints for a few moments, I give up. Looking into my opponent's eyes, I know that I am beat. Most of my metalminds are depleted, and then there's that sword... With a sigh I slump on the ground at his feet. "mhhp psst mraihh" I mumble. Realizing my foe probably didn't understand a word of what I'd said with my face in the dirt, I lean my head up to look at him. From the low angle, I have a good view of his dust covered legs. "Well played Rhazien. Your training does you cre-" I draw on my remaining reserves of weight and strength, then smash my head into his foot. "Seriously? Did you really think I'd stop being a scrappy fighter just because you restrained me? Did you not - oof" Rhazien, limping slightly much to my satisfaction, punches me in the chin. As he brings his weapon to bear, I shout, "Okay, okay. You win. I YEILD! THE WINNER OF THIS FIGHT IS RHAZIEN!"
  19. Rhazien's throw flew true. My legs stung and I fell, but I used the momentum I'd gained from running, channeling it into a roll. I tucked my head in and went head over heels forward. Rhazien suddenly appeared, standing directly in my way. I crashed into him.
