Now you've done it. You'll probably get a bunch of messages asking you to join the main guilds. If you want to join a collection of members, check out the Social Groups link in Kidpen's or I's sig. You've already met a bunch of guild representatives. ElephantEarwax and Illythra Dark are from the Dark Alley, Kidpen is from the Liebrary, AonEne is a Ghostblood. And I of course am from TUBA.

I don't think it will come up, but the Sticks might try and recruit you as well. If a mob shouting 'I am a stick' charges you, run the other way as fast as you can.

Read my sig (text below my post, in the spoiler tag)

Looks like I missed the party... Welcome to the madness @Weedolfin. I hate to say it, but you've made every rookie mistake there is. Not your fault though, those tricksty members enjoy preying on the new guys.

Welcome! I'd recommend starting in the subsection of your favourite book. Speaking of which, what book is your favourite?

Unfortunately the cost of using the powers is that you turn evil. But I don't think that will be a problem for you

It's a reckoners thing. Basically, a star (spoilers if I said more) gives people superpowers. Pretty much anything from neon lights to teleportation

@Illythyrra Dark the first thing that came to mind when trying to make it Sanderson realistic is of you're an epic with a very specific powerset

@Illythyrra Dark do you, at any point in time, intend to engage in combat with other members? If so, your character is too overpowered and non cannon.

Welcome! I don't know the answer to your question. My best guess is that his weight may increase but his mass does not. Here's link to the Q&A section Dusty mentioned, you could try your luck there. http://www.17thshard.com/forum/forum/81-cosmere-qa/

95. If you're trying to fake a burglary, open the drawers up different amounts. To get into the lower ones, you'd usually have to push in the higher drawers. 96. Pay attention to the weather! If it's stormy outside, somebody is going to die. Pathetic fallacy may be your only hint that someone is lurking in your house about to kill you and disguise it as a botched burglary. 97. Pose dramatically whenever you get the chance. People will call you crazy for entering the home where the murderer lurks, but if you pose before bursting in the door then they'll be impressed by your confidence.

The Reckoners series is great. I highly recommend you continue with it. After that, I'd ease into the cosmere with Elantris or Mistborn.

Welcome! If you had a plate painted to have a cosmere character's face on it, who would you choose?

Hi! I agreed to be the mediator. As such, it’s my job to clarify the rules of this fight. I’m the mediator. Please don’t attempt to kill me. If you do, I will sic a dragon on you. If I am not on, an available third party may temporarily take over mediator duties to help the fight along in my absence. If you would like to comment on this fight, and you are not one of the combatants, please put your post in a quote and/or different colour. (You guys have been doing a pretty good job of that so far, so I don't think this will be a problem.) I will stop the fight as soon as someone says 'I yield'. If you're trying to trick the other guy, I can't tell the difference and will declare you the loser. So don't do that, okay? @Mraize requested this update to his character. "Weapons: Two shortswords on sheaths worn around the waist, A broadsword worn on his back, a dozen kunai, and a spear." He also requested I add this picture of his character.

Minor spoilers to follow. I never understood why they didn't use templates more often. In dueling it would be unfair, but against a non rithmatist enemy it would make a lot of sense. If the schools and homes of rithmatists had painted perfect circle templates for defences in key locations, then the people who got ambushed wouldn't have been killed so easily. And in the warzone? Where it would be used constantly? They definitely should have put them out there. I heard somewhere that only psychopaths can draw a perfect circle freehand.[citation needed, probably not true] But with practice and proper technique, I agree, you could get pretty good. But as for rithmatists having any supernatural drawing ability, I don't think so. We seem them fail to make good drawings all the time. I believe it's just down to practice, skill and mindset.

Everyone else only has one. Can you pick the best one and use it? Then save the other as a backup?
