I saw TLJ on Saturday, and I was wondering about the hyperspace thing as well. Is it possible that the hyperspace tracking system on Snoke's ship causes it to exist partially in hyperspace (sort of like Lift in the cognitive realm)? Maybe that's how Holdo's ship was able to interact with it. I enjoyed the movie overall, but it definitely felt like a mashup of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Does this mean that Episode 9 is going to be a mashup of the three prequel movies? -
Wouldn't Zahel take his "best friend" back once Szeth goes to Urithiru with everybody else?

I thought Odium didn't want to become too invested on a planet, so it still seems weird to me that he would stick around Ashyn long enough to become their God. I think it's more likely that Odium showed up on Roshar at around the same time as humans, making it a correlation vs causation problem

I'm liking something similar to this theory right now. Tanavast saw what happened with his Heralds going insane, and with how Rayse interpreted his shard. Assuming Tanavast set all this up, making the Stormfather the new Honor could give Dalinar all the powers of a Vessel with the additional checks required by the Nahel bond.

Flashback Dalinar seems pretty aggressive and stupid, and I don't like that at all. Having said that, I am looking forward to the character development that turns him into present-day Dalinar. I still like the theory that shardplate is made from spren, so I wonder how close Kaladin was when he used all the windspren to punch a hole through the storm? I'm worried about Shallan. Her personalities are shattering apart like some plains that I could mention ...

As long as they take the opportunity to experiment with other genres that just happen to be set in the Star Wars universe. In my opinion, Rogue One felt too much like a Star Wars movie. I think I wanted an Oceans 11 style heist movie instead. -

I'm in a similar boat. I've been working on book 2 for a couple of months, and I'm only a bit past the middle. Every now and then I'm able to pick it up and read another chapter, but it takes energy and I have other things I'd rather be reading. Fingers crossed that I can finish it before Oathbringer!

Even if the Everstorm has less energy, it can still do more damage since it's moving the other way. I think Kaladin pointed out at the end of WoR that buildings on Roshar are stronger on one side to protect against Highstorms, and they won't be ready for a storm from the other direction.
