  1. Yeah, Cultivation is about encouraging things which already exist more than creation, if there was a creation Shard I suppose that'd be better matched with Ruin than Preservation but I doubt that that's one of the remaining ones.
  2. It should be pointed out that Hazekillers don't have allomancy or feruchemy I do like the full Aluminium armour idea though. As for genetically modifying sDNA I doubt that it's possible simply with technology but Scadrial already has Hemalurgy for that, the problem is the price. As for Allomancy becoming more rare, Brandond has said the opposite IIRC, they're becoming a bit less powerful but more common.
  3. Szeth would be in for a surprise when he can't Lash anyone either, and also when the air all around him spontaneously combusts.
  4. Well the sphere is never described as being metallic and the bead is never said to glow with black light, so I doubt that that's the same thing. As for the element being Lerasium I agree with you on that one most people think it's either that or the sphere and I tend towards Lerasium.
  5. Oh and don't forget that Jasnah and Shallan arrive at around the same time as Szeth, 3 (possibly 4 if Dalinar is a KR) Surgebinders, plus one of the best Shardbearer duelists in Alethkar and an army verses one Windrunner is not good odds for Szeth, and since I don't think he'll die this early then my bets are on Szeth being freed from being truthless by the return of the KR.
  6. Well then we don't know what Shard the other magic systems are tied to either, so saying that they don't transform doesn't really indicate anything, although Forging could also transform you, although it doesn't require it I guess.
  7. Except Kaladin has already taken down a full Shardbearer without even using any Windrunner abilities, and has taken down another without using much Stormlight, Szeth may have a bit more experience than Kal but he hasn't exactly been practising all the time I doubt he'd outstrip him by much, plus Kaladin seems to be stronger than Szeth in raw ability, he held his stormlight for longer and most importantly they have the element of surprise, everyone knows that Szeth has unnatural Windrunner abilities, the second he bursts in everyone knows he's dangerous, Szeth would have no idea that that random darkeyed spearman is just as powerful as he is and a master of the spear to boot. My money is on Kaladin all the way on this one, especially if he any other Shardbearers are there to help out.
  8. Not necessarily, I think I remember Brandon saying that he could still do a flashback book even if a character's dead. Plus Dalinar gets a book too don't forget.
  9. Well he does have his own Windrunner bodyguard, I don't see Kal just giving up or getting beaten by Szeth, my guess is either Szeth dies and only becomes important posthumously or something about the return of the Radiants frees Szeth from being Truthless.
  10. The Dhakor transform as well, I should point out although whether that's really the same or not is debatable since it's a voluntary and active process unlike Elantris.
  11. But then you need someone to draw the Aon and the only people who could draw it are Elantrians, so unless someone invents a time-travel Aon then there needs to be some form of pre-Elantris Elantrians.
  12. The other problem is that they all have to have actually exhibited that behaviour in order for them to be measured, recorded and bound in the manner we saw. You couldn't just write down 'Sylphrena only ever Nahel-bonds with people exhibiting protective and leading qualities' unless she actually did that first.
  13. The KR's of old all wore Shardplate and had no problems, Szeth actually said that it interfered with his Lashings, this is probably because it's a heavily invested object and so he couldn't Lash himself while wearing it, actual KR's may be able to overcome this. And that wouldn't prevent Dalinar from being a Surgebinder, just from using his abilities on himself.
  14. I think you mean Alethkar Kal doesn't world hop, well not yet anyway.
  15. Well there's the Highstorm visions, which are extremely similar to Kaladin's Highstorm vision of riding the storm. He's usually wearing Plate so you wouldn't really notice, and he does seem to be better at using the plate than most. But he's not a Surgebinder like Kaladin anyway, plus if Dalinar doesn't know that he's Surgebinding then he wouldn't notice, and further explains his lack of demonstration of abilities while in battle.
  16. Einstein was a Shard! I wonder what Einsteinium would do.
  17. So it's the god metal of the Shardholder Alumin? Well with a name like that and such a useless metal perhaps he's the one who just wants to hide from all the others.
  18. I have trouble not re-reading them within the month, so yeah you're definitely not alone in this.
  19. Yeah I realise that some people still don't accept it as definitely being true but I guess because I take it as basically confirmed that that's how I show it to others, so yeah not absolute confirmation on that one sorry. But I think this quote is pretty strong evidence.
  20. It may not necessarily be an Honorspren that he attracts but I'd say the chances are relatively high.
  21. Pushes and Pulls don't all map exactly either, Tin and Pewter for instance but some of them do just to provide good mechanics.
  22. I think that second one is the one that most people think, either that or it has something to do with Spren, although I do like that first one.
  23. That's true, but the intent of a Shard is also filtered by what your perception of it is, Ruin didn't send inquisitors around to smash pottery or something, he interpreted the Intent of 'Ruin' in a reasonably long-term fashion. So I believe that Odium could be doing something similar, taking time to destroy the other Shards (Which on Roshar requires the Desolations) and then later applying his Intent onto the whole cosmere.
  24. Well if they really do Soulcast with fabrials then all of those still access Honor's power, if it's Surgebinding then there's no reason that the other Order's shouldn't still exist either. And the splintering of Devotion hasn't seemed to do much damage to the magic on Sel, so I can't see why it should on Roshar.
  25. Honor was still alive when the KR's disbanded, which was well after the breaking of the Oathpact.
