  1. Oh and in case someone else needs to write him in a scene, watching him spy on you or something PP Description: Tall (6'3) with medium brown shoulder-length hair, and a pretty wild beard (He travels through a lot of wilderness, he doesn't get many chances to shave) He generally sticks with a purple motif but prefers to be able to be sneaky as well, so dark purple cloaks for the most part, and a bowler hat because the Voices in his head liked it Mannerisms: Loves juggling his glowing pebbles and randomly muttering to himself.
  2. Ahh! I posted right in the middle of a telepathic conversation, that's what I get for not updating the page Sorry guys!
  3. Purple Phoenix strode along the river, anxious to reach his destination. He'd had to start travelling off road as he neared, too many people who might see him, and how could they deny that the glory they saw must surely be one of the divine Epics? Over the past days he'd met many people travelling in the opposite direction, as anyone with half a brain is want to do when Epics start fighting in their city, but still some of the stories he'd heard seemed to outlandish to believe no matter how many epics were involved, buildings turned into bouncy castles? What kind of sane person would do something like that, he shook his head lamenting the fate some of his fellow epics had fallen to. "Well you're not exactly sane yourself you know." His Voice whispered in his mind. It was getting into the habit of doing that more and more lately, at first it had only warned of danger, he'd thought he might have received powers of precognition but now he just had no idea what it was and tried to ignore it. The voice was clearly insane. He juggled some of his slightly glowing pebbles as he marched into the battlegrounds, nothing around to destroy which was getting annoying, he couldn't destroy anything while travelling, the voice kept telling him not to, telling him that it might kill him. He didn't think the Voice knew about his reincarnation, which was good he supposed, best to keep it hidden, still how did it not notice that he died every night? How did the Voice explain that? Well Purple Phoenix wasn't exactly sure that he could explain it either, not the dying part anyway, he still wasn't sure which Epic kept doing it, making his eyes heavy, paralyzing him, filling his mind with bizzare halucinations and then killing him leaving him in an empty void for hours until he reincarnated in the mornings, who had such a wide array of powers? And why keep trying once it obviously didn't work? Probably just Jealous, he thought to himself. Off in the distance he became increasingly aware of some very noisy activity, and this late at night and that loud noisy meant Epics, he'd thought for a moment that he'd seen a Jet before but had decided he must be imagining it. "Well" He said to no one in particular. "Best start off with a stealthy approach to sift the facts out of those rumours" He stalked as stealthily as he could towards the battlefield, certain now that it was epics, he'd heard several explosions and what sounded like either a fairly skilled fire Epic or else a team of Flamethrowers. In his stealth however he'd moved too slowly, coming across some of the most bizarre battlefield remnants he'd ever seen, singed carpets, some kind of twisted idea of a tank, and yes that was definitely a Jet. However all the participants seemed to be retreating, he only just caught the end of their conversation, something about Dinosaurs and sisters? Hmm... these ones will need to be followed carefully.
  4. I was just going to do his entrance into the city, set up his plans for stalking the Wackos.
  5. Well funtimes would definitely love half of him anyway, then again she could just turn the other half into kitty so they'll probably end up getting on, if Nathan gets in touch with the Protector then they might be able to come clean to each other but PP is in control for most of his interactions with other people so it depends how things play out. Anyone mind if I jump in with his grand entrance to the city? Or is there a turn order to be observed?
  6. Purple Phoenix resents your accusation that he's Wacko! He also welcomes it and accepts it as basically true. On a side note I thought some of his tech could potentially be responsible for some of the widespread destruction in the area, particularly if at some point someone else gets a hold of it.
  7. His protective self is pretty cautious so he'll likely try to observe all the factions before supporting any, since he believes he's an Epic he puts on an air of aloofness and isn't particularly fond of either humans or Epics, especially anyone with energy based attacks, (So probably a no go for CorpseMaker, he'd probably be ok with a minor electricity epic though so thoughttown is a maybe) I was going to have him show up tomorrow when the Wacko Brigade go to the museum to start his observations.
  8. So can I get your approval to enter? I'll PM the 'weakness' and do a better bio
  9. I'll just do a short bio and a more detailed one later if it gets approved. EDITED for completeness Real name: Jeff Carlisle 'Epic' Name: Purple Phoenix 'Powers': As a researcher he was installed with a state of the art mind-computer interface in his spine to allow his brain to control many of the devices they created from Epic abilities. Resurrection (He has no way of actually resurrecting, he just believes he can due to his 'deaths' every night) Has a protective field similar to what the Reckoners were supposed to have, only works on metal though as it's based on a magnetism manipulating Epic, also accelerates any bullets he fires out increasing stopping power. Purpley explodeyness: Access to a pair of gloves which destabilizes the bonds of a given item (Usually uses pebbles) which can later be detonated by a specific frequency or a hard enough impact, is set off by a mental command explodes into a cloud of purplish energy. As an ex-military he also is in good physical condition and quite adept at hand to hand and armed combat. History: Previously a military engineer/Research scientist after Calamity he was part of one of the first scientific efforts to understand Epic abilities, during his time in this project they invented a number of devices to emulate Epic abilities such as Energy based explosives, however the Epics they were researching slowly became more and more violent and eventually one killed most of the research team, Jeff only managed to kill the Epic by using their recently fabricated energy based weapons against it, but the trauma of the event caused him to go insane, he suffers from split personalities, one which is aware that he's just a 'vanilla' and one that believes he is the Purple Phoenix, the vanilla identity is the protector and does everything to set up traps to protect him from other Epics, however PP believes himself to be using his powers to protect himself. He also believes that he doesn't need to sleep and that instead every night an Epic tries to kill him, and then he resurrects the next morning, his other personality frequently takes over while he's 'dead' and sets up traps, plants exploding pebbles, recharges his gear and plans for the next day to keep PP alive. He believes he has an Epic weakness, which practically means that when faced with it he will not even attempt to use any of his tech.
  10. Who needs spells when you have Bendalloy
  11. I would do a Human, actually I really want to do a human who's a bit crazy and thinks that they're an Epic.
  12. So this is probably waaay too late, but any chance I could throw in a character? Looks interesting.
  13. The Intros too
  14. Getting his head blown off by an energy bolt would probably still kill him, if it came down to strength v strength then obviously the Hulk would win but Steelheart has a random assortment of other abilities too, flying being particularly useful, doesn't matter how strong you are if you can't reach the other guy.
  15. Depends if Steelhearts energy ball things could pierce the Hulk I think, if so then he has the advantage of a ranged attack mixed with flight, if not then there's no way for him to hurt Hulk so then he'd obviously lose.
  16. Well my favourite quote is of course "I am a stick" Favourite metal: Hemalurgic Atium
  17. In the Dark Alley there's always someone with just about any given power... also cookies, have I mentioned the cookies?
  18. Bonus points if the bullet becomes a Blessing of Awareness so that your shot eye is more sensitive
  19. If everyone else is fighting with slings too then it's understandable,it's the difference between war and genocide.
  20. Welcome to our theory laden corner of the interwebs, can I interest you in a spike cooke?
  21. Elend 9 Dalinar 12
  22. Susebron 3 Elend 14 Dalinar 16 Taravangian 20 Gawx 20
  23. I really don't think so, his reasons at the time were perfectly valid, if someone offered me a machine gun I'd turn them down no matter how much money or respect they offered with it, I really wouldn't want to be responsible for the murder of hundreds of people just for a higher position in society.
