  1. But that discussion would only be relevant if we already interpreted the literal rule in the manner that you interpret it. Edit: To clarify; the existence of the literal rule itself implies that prior to its implementation that rules could be taken in any logical interpretation of the rule, regardless of the intention of the author. The literal rule's own interpretation must then not be exempt from this.
  2. I call attention to the fact that my interpretation of the literal rule is that it could be interpreted as meaning that any rule can be interpreted either literally or not-as-intended (Deliberately interpreting the rule in a different way than intended) so long as the interpretation makes sense. I acknowledge that this is likely not the intended interpretation of the literal rule but according to the literal rule I may interpret the literal rule in a way that is not intended, so long as it makes sense.
  3. The Original Rule of Honor specifies that changes must be unnoticeable, changes which can be noticed do not violate the Original Rule of Honor and calling UNO predicates that someone has noticed a rules violation, therefore no one can call UNO on a violation of the Original Rule of Honor
  4. UNO! Meta's above post is in violation of Rule 12. Eggs are called Eggs, not anything else.
  5. Same timestamp exactly. But I'll give it to you.
  6. ONU! Because I quoted someone else who had a picture of a dog, so one was still contained within my post. Also: UNO! Violation of rule 15.
  7. Metronome continued sipping his soda, looking at the bartender with a little concern. Was his power so obvious that even when he was attempting to show his kinder side that this man still worried about his bar being torn apart? "Do not worry, I have not come to your establishment to cause any chaos, and it is in no danger while I am here." An offer of protection was best, who would dare to interfere with a building that had Metronome's own personal protection upon it?
  8. UNO! Violation of rule 12, you lose ten Eggs.
  9. @ZincAboutIt Metronome accepted the glass with a gracious nod, satisfied that his host was suitably in awe. "I hope you enjoy this. Is there anything else I can get you?" The bartender asked. For a moment, Metronome was a little suspicious. Granted his might should be obvious to any who looked upon them but surely this man was a little too fast to begin offering his servitude like this? Ah. Of course. Metronome realized, noting the pocketwatch still in his hands. The bartender must have seen him adjusting the time and become so fearful that he would offer anything to appease Metronome to avoid his wrath coming down upon him. It may have been too much after all, I don't want just fear. He must understand that I am not merely a tyrannical deity here to wreak vengeance and mayhem. He smiled back towards the bartender and took a seat at the bar. "That will be all for now, thank you." He said. His kind and gentle words should reassure those present that their lives were not in imminent danger at least.
  10. Metronome perked up as the bartender spoke, he was at the least, someone who could recognize his greatness. But then he'd also failed to comprehend the meaning of his speech, should he destroy the man and his bar in retribution? No, the fault this time lay with Metronome himself, clearly he had not been filtering himself and the man had been unable to comprehend the meaning of his own wise counsel, it was something Metronome would have to forgive. No one could be expected to truly understand someone such as him. "Soda." He clarified. "I'm sure that whatever you have to offer will be satisfactory." Let the man see that Metronome could be gracious as well as fearsome, he was no Steelheart to rule through fear alone. That was the tool of petty bullies, Metronome was something far greater than that.
  11. Metronome looked the bartender over for a moment, searching deep within to see if this was a man worthy of his mighty words, or would this be another disappointment, another fool who could not see the majesty of the figure they were speaking to? "A bottle of your best." He said finally, with a brisk nod. He pulled a pocketwatch from his waistcoat and began the minute corrections to it until it was accurate once again. Poor mechanics could barely hope to imitate Metronome's own mighty powers, they could never keep up for long. He made sure to be obvious as he was correcting the pocketwatch, taking it out with a great sigh and grand gestures. It may have been a little too intimidating for such an ordinary environment but if he was going to let these people know who he was then he needed to start with shock and awe tactics.
  12. A portly man pushed his way into the tavern, his head held up high as he examined his surroundings down his nose as though already sneering at them. He briefly adjusted his waistcoat before sauntering in a few steps and taking a careful look over each of the individuals present.
  13. I don't want to put the first one to a formal vote, I just thought it would be amusing Basically I edited my post before you voted in favour of it so you quoted an old version which was lacking the following addition: Any action outside of a post which violates a rule shall be considered to have not happened for all purposes of this game. Which basically just means that things other than posts are also considered void for the purposes of this game if they do not follow the rules. (Eg. Editing an existing post would not allow the edit to have any meaning in the game as per rule 18, so I couldn't edit your vote of not supporting something to be a vote of supporting something as that edit would not exist for the purposes of this game)
  14. Also a violation of rule 15 I propose that all votes in favour of the rule of rules actually meaning something should also violate a rule, thus retroactively invalidating themselves if the rule is passed and creating a paradox. Also just to note: I added something at the end just to clarify all bases, I was hoping to get it in before anyone voted so it didn't have to go through as an additional amendment, shouldn't change much I don't think but could you confirm you still support?
  15. Supported Not supported Support these Do not support these. Blatant violation of rule 15. I propose the rule of rules actually meaning something: Any post that violates a rule shall be considered void of all meaning for the purposes of this game, specifically no votes in said post shall be counted, no rules proposed shall be voted upon, no points can be gained, no other rules that would apply any benefit or punishment outside of this rule shall take effect until said post is in accordance with all rules. Any action outside of a post which violates a rule shall be considered to have not happened for all purposes of this game.
  16. Laurelai actually rolled her eyes this time. Some things couldn't be explained? Nonsense. Some people just lacked the capacity to explain things, that was all. What was it with unseeable entities and their obsession with thinking that they were the most mysterious thing in the world. There was a species of reptile in Shinovar that could look invisible, that didn't make them privy to all the dark secrets of the world, it just made them difficult to catch. "Do you want some Stormlight, perhaps?" Okame asked. "I think that is the customary offering." Of for the love of... "Not the best time for that." Laurelai reminded him. Giving Stormlight to a potential enemy was not a particularly wise choice, not that she thought that anyone had come to this event without their own preparations anyway, but even so it was just not done. Or at least not unless there was more to the gesture than there appeared. A bribe, a threat, misinformation. There were many options, but she doubted any were what the Horneater had in mind.
  17. I would just like to point out that if I were of a mind to try to win solely through edits that I would just edit the rules which try to limit my editing I would like to amend my own rule (16. Voidus’ Law of Unfair Advantage) to addend the following: No rule or ammendment may be passed or voted on if that rule would alter any part of Voidus’ Law of Unfair Advantage or punish those who have voted in favour of Voidus' Law of Unfair Advantage. And no person who has only conditionally voted in favour of Voidus’ Law of Unfair Advantage shall count as having voted for it, except for the purposes of passing the rule.
  18. Actually I have to deliberately choose for it to be there, and I try to err on the side of obviousness for those kinds of jokes just to be sure.
  19. I propose Voidus' rule of potential karmic retribution: Should a player propose a rule to change the name of 'points', that player is to be referred to by the name they suggest changing points to, until such a time as the rule is adopted. What do you think Eggs?
  20. I support the above rules. I propose Voidus' law of unfair advantage: All those who support this rule shall gain two points for every point that is gained by someone who did not support this rule.
  21. Laurelai felt a strain in the muscles around her face as she resisted an intense urge to roll her eyes at the large figure of Okame. Instead she tried to track his own gaze. She'd heard of some Horneaters having the ability to see spren even when they wished to remain hidden. Perhaps he was one of those, and if so he might be a benefit even in spite of all the trouble he was no doubt causing.
