  1. Nighthound still hasn't died? We're working on it.
  2. I posted about it a while ago
  3. It's in some editions of Mitosis too
  4. It would also mean Streetwise really sucks at his job, missing both cells
  5. In honor of the holiday season I present my newest christmas-themed Epic. Epic Name: Santa Claws Primary power: Can create energy constructs from his fists reminiscent of Wolverine's adamantine claws. Secondary power: Can create a red glowing circle underneath his feet which allows him to stand or run across the air. Passive power: Regeneration. Modus Operandi: Santa Claws is often accompanied by his fanatical Vanilla follower 'Rudolph' an ex-army explosives expert. Between Santa's abilities and Rudolphs tactics and traps the two have defeated all other Epics in their area and have taken over the rule of a town inside Oregon. Code name: Rudolph Modus Operandi: Rudolph has over many nights littered the town with explosives, at all times he carries a mobile phone with him with which he can detonate any single explosive with a short code. He is fanatically devoted to Santa Claws and puts his brilliant mind to work devising tactics for the holiday Epic.
  6. Ooh me likey, I'll try to get around to posting in the next day or so once I've caught up.
  7. Christmas was a pretty sad affair for my family this year, my grandmother has pancreatic cancer and she's probably not going to see another, we flew over to see her and of course because of all the stress my anxiety attacks flare back up and I start getting Cluster Headaches again so I had to spend most of my time curled in bed crying or being too exhausted to move. And of course flying both ways when you're well over 6 ft. is never fun, particularly when the person in front of you decides to recline back as far as possible thus causing my knees to fight my earlobes for space.
  8. Hey all, sorry I haven't been on the last couple of days, been interstate visiting relatives for xmas. Any developments?
  9. The example I always Compare it with is chocolate. Some people prefer milk chocolate, some prefer dark and some people (though I hesitate to call them people) even prefer white chocolate. We can all be sure that we're the one who chose the right one. yet when we meet people who disagree we don't insult them or assume they're idiots, we just enjoy our own chocolate.
  10. The Dalles is certainly a lively place at the moment, with the number of different factions I think the progress towards the complete destruction of Oregon is going well.
  11. And there was much rejoicing.
  12. Thus ended a discussion of differing religious beliefs with no hatred, insults or namecalling whatsoever. The rest of the Internet promptly exploded.
  13. I never understood the ire some people got from the cosmology of fictional universes disagreeing with their own. Australia's a pretty secular place so there's quite a few other Atheists in my classes but they're really annoying sometimes. It's the authours perogative to set up the cosmology however they wish, I don't believe there's a god who created our world but I'm fine with the idea of the Shards planting life on all of the Shardworlds in Brandons books. If Backtrack took another look into the past and saw the Garden of Eden I'd be perfectly fine with that, I'd just choose to believe it's a representation of an Alternate Universe. In short, you guys are awesome.
  14. We cover them a bit in first year Biology here, but even so it's amazing how few Australians know about them. We all think of the Tasmanian tiger when we think extinct Australian animals, which is about the least interesting animal that's been here.
  15. Samuel would probably prefer she remain her present size, he's really not fond of Menkor right now.
  16. Australian Megafauna are awesomely cool if you're still looking for animals Kobold.
  17. His hands are like the pincers and the lightning bolts he summons are the tail... I'm not great at naming Epics.
  18. PPs latest as yet unnamed persona may take an interest in her if he meets her, comparing her cellular generation with the regeneration of a Healing Epic would I imagine be of great interest to him.
  19. It's a pretty old theory, quite a few Sharders espouse it. With Feruchemy being the magic system that arose from both Shards it makes sense that Sazedium (Or Harmonium, although I don't like that name since it breaks the convention) would grant Feruchemy.
  20. Oh and Clint Mansells Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a dream during Vins fight scenes for me.
  21. Samuel halted when he saw her, her voice echoing within the walls of his mind. "Have you hunted your share of heathens today?" Samuel gave a grim smile. "Not yet, not by half." Samuel spared a glance for the ruins of a sailing boat on a nearby shore, he was torn between admonishing the spirit for acting without permission and praising her for eliminating some of the unholy trash that littered the region. He did neither, neither would have any effect on Murk whatsoever, the crocodilian spirit might make a pretense of obeying but she was her own master. She was perhaps the only being outside of the Inquisition who Samuel respected in any way. "There will likely be many foes, you can have your pick for the price. If not then we can find someone suitable for the hunt later, there won't be a shortage of enemies after today."
  22. I'm not sure about that, Inquisitors for example could see the lines going to everything, and I think there's other references to seeing lines but not being able to affect them.
  23. Mistborn is a really great series, I hope you enjoy it!
