  1. DP: "Hmmm... Well I've sort of adopted this tapping gesture at the moment for it. Deathtap? Deadlygesture? Hey you! What do you think my name should be?" Man: "Who? Me?" DP: "Yes! You!" *Points* Man: *Dies* DP: "Calamity curse it! That's the third time today!"
  2. Sorry, I saw when you asked earlier then forgot Photobucket link: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/voidus9/bus-2-xxl_zps05e26eb5.png Original link: http://www.iconsdb.com/icons/preview/black/bus-2-xxl.png The link still works but the pictures not showing up, don't know why so maybe try the photobucket link for now and hopefully that'll work.
  3. As Twi said, although I'd add the third kind of drunk, usually young men in their late teens. The 'I'm invincibile!' kind of drunk who just tries to impress everyone around them, invariably failing because they're drunk and then getting angry when people laugh at them.
  4. Found the quote I was looking for elsewhere: So Precogs are definitely classed as a PI per David and it's almost word for word the same definition he gives for generic High Epics in Firefight, honestly I think it's just an example of Brandon retconning it a bit, in the same scene I believe David also says that the Reckoners always go after someone with a PI.
  5. Either, whatever people think fits the narrative and playstyle better. I unfortunately have neither my copy of Steelheart nor Firefight at the moment so this is from memory but I believe a PI protects against conventional methods of assasination, not necessarily all. I believe that both of Profs defensive powers are deemed enough to be a PI despite neither being foolproof methods even without using his weakness. Obliteration and Fortuity I believe are also said to have PIs despite both just being danger sense which is by no means absolute protection.
  6. Boredom? He's also a wee bit insane beyond the usual sociopathy of Epics. If I changed the power set it would be an entirely different Epic with different backstory. Not the Elastic body I'll grant but the others pretty well fit as PI's unless I've missed something?
  7. Hmmm... Perhaps I should add Necromancy to the DA's list of services?
  8. He'd be pretty secretive from most Epics, playing a more behind the scenes role with perhaps a few trusted Epic allies who know his base of operations. But for the most part he prefers just tormenting vanillas to getting into a real power struggle with Epics. Alternatively I could nerf his power in regards to Epics and give him a secondary, I'm open to input on the matter. A few alternative PIs I've been thinking of for anyone looking to create a high Epic: Historical manipulation: Can change their previous actions within a limited time limit, often results in apparent teleportation as they change a path they've walked. Limited to non-instant and escapable death scenarios, can be either insta-killed or checkmated. Adaption: A fairly versatile PI whereby the users body simply adapts to it's environment, for instance by growing wings while falling, gills while drowning, photosynthesis while starving. Up to the writer how strong they want to make it, for instance the possibility of bulletproof skin. Possession: While the users body may be destroyed their mind/spirit simply migrates to a new host. Material-merging: A potential variant of both Indestructibility and intangibility, the user can take on the properties of certain materials, for instance by turning their body into mist they become relatively intangible while turning into solid steel leads to them being relatively impervious. Elastic-body: Joining the likes of Mr. Fantastic the users body may bend under impact but it won't break. The user may still be vulnerable to slashing attacks or alternative methods of destruction such as fire.
  9. Actually on the topic of OP Epics would anyone object if I used Simon from the Halloween RP in Astoria? He's quite OP but also squishy since he has no defensive powers.
  10. There's a little button just underneath the smiley face in the reply menu that lets you post pictures if you have their URL.
  11. PP: Absolutely horribly, it would probably result in a spontaneous and continuous shifting of his active personality, likely culminating with Penumbra severing Quota's head from his body. Scribbler: Also not well, although more in a curls-up-in-a-ball response than trying to murder Quota. Twins: There's not too much horror in their backstory they'd probably be fairly limited in their reaction. Neverthere: Is a particularly interesting one, could Quota manipulate her emotions just through her projection? I'm already working on a list of possibilities for people who are looking for character ideas. List will be coming soon to a thread near you!
  12. Are any of them Steve?
  13. *Gasp* How did you know!? Although I also respond to Alex
  14. When in doubt, just guess that everyone's name is Steve eventually you'll be right and they'll be really creeped out that you know their name. *Insert evil cackle**
  15. My Grandma passed away today. Cancer sucks.
  16. Two! Because two is the best number ever.
  17. I do watch and enjoy Arrow but have only ever watched the Dr. Sporadically it's one of those things I keep meaning to get around to but then Brandon releases a new book and I have to spend a month reading and re-reading it over and over again to comb it for clues.
  18. Brangelina: Papparazi-Epic, can create a photographic version of anything he's seen. REDACTED: His powers are [REDACTED] Spoiler: His powers mimic the Fidelius charm of the Harry Potter universe, he can prevent anyone from sharing a piece of information he gives to them, if the person attempts to share the secret they will suffer a fatal heart attack.
  19. *Spills drink due to particularly violent spasms* I'll be right back.
  20. May Calamity bless you and may you enjoy many cookies!
  21. Sorry to see you go Winter! I hope that post was alright with the magic.
  22. Samuel flowed smoothly over the ground steady breathing carried him at a firm pace as he made his way towards the prison, trailed by his familiar, moving rapidly despite her size. He fought to keep calm, ignoring the melee that had erupted throughout the city. No time for them, they will be caught, they will all face justice. For now focus on what's important. As he neared the tower Samuel could dimly make out the sounds of an alarm. The enemy had already made their move. The guards had clustered at the door to the tower, trying to break it down. As he approached some few took notice of him and drew swords. His shirt already torn in multiple places Samuel ripped off one of the sleeves, baring the mark of the Inquisition, stained with the blood of his many cuts but still recognizable upon his upper arm. Samuel glanced towards the blockaded doorway as the soldiers around re-sheathed their swords, he was glad he'd brought Murk along the Door was no doubt too sturdy to be broken down without a ram of some kind. Samuels concentration firmed as he located his mental preparations, he made few such preparations, preferring to rely on his sword over sorcery but sometimes such was necessary. An instant later and the door had been blown apart by the fireball, burning timber showering the inside of the tower. Samuel and Murk led the guardsmen in to find and trap whoever had so defied the Inquisition.
  23. Kraft, Glad, Procter and Gamble, Folgers, and Revlon! Kraft: Petrification of organic matter through touch, he keeps his favourite 'pieces' on display at his studio. Glad: Can place objects into a stasis, preventing them from decaying or changing in any way. Procter and Gamble: Procter can change the surface tension of objects and has minor hydrokinetic abilities, often creates a multitude of bubbles. Gamble can cause a surface to lose all friction. Folgers: Never needs to rest, has enhanced speed and can cause rapid energy loss to anyone he touches. Revlon: Minor Shapeshifter, can change the appearance of their face to anything that still resembles a human. Will they never end? Eyetwitch the Tenth: The tenth son of a family, all of whom received Epic abilities he received this nickname from his brothers as he has a repetitive twitch whenever he is referred to as 'the tenth' Can teleport any object within his field of view to anywhere else within his field of view.
  24. *Eye twitches* I'll be back in 10.
  25. Fun fact: Whenever I read a capitalized word I feel an irresistible compulsion to turn it into an Epic. Am now working on Retraction.
