I can agree with that to an extent, like not needing to figure out the exact genetic changes needed for pigs to grow wings but rather just thinking 'grow wings' but something like a virus is a bit different, symptoms of virus' are secondary effects of changes in the cell structure of the virus itself, I just don't find it likely that he could think 'turn into a zombie-virus' and his power would accurately change the structure of the virus in the thousand different ways necessary, it's just not specific enough. Now if he directly altered the people himself I can absolutely believe he could turn them into zombies, albeit of a non-infectious variety.

Question about Weaknesses of Epics [Firefight spoilers included]
Voidus replied to Lightning's topic in The Reckoners
Yeah that' long been a problem I've had with Nightwielder, but we did recently get a quote at a signing saying something different is going on with Nightwielder. On no one trying trip mines on Steelheart, he's completely paranoid, he makes sure no one knows where he eats or sleeps most of the time, it would be extremely difficult to set up a trap like that. -
Kobold, Twilyght, Brandon, Peter, Edgedancer, me, Swimmingly, Chaos, Argent?, Moogle? Not sure if Kurk overtook either of those last two while I wasn't looking. Name 10 17th Shard Moderators.

Adventures in Edassa: Summer, 1375 S.E - City of Menkor
Voidus replied to Seonid's topic in Inactive RPs
Samuel eyed the interrupter, one of the jailbreakers it would seem. He examined the die in his hand with a distasteful eye. Games of chance had always been considered with the utmost disdain by Samuel. "Tell me, oh great Veteran." Samuel said softly "Why I shouldn't just run you through right now for such blasphemy?" His eyes narrowed dangerously. "The Martyr does not play dice with the world, heathen. You will burn along with the rest of those in this city, burn in His holy flame. There is nothing you nor whichever pitiful pagan god you worship can do about it. You may escape, may even evade me for a while. But I will not rest until you have been found. I am aided by the very spirit of the hunt and I can assure you, we do not lose our quarry." He tossed the die back. "So we will play your game, but allow me to alter the stakes. I will take the high three, you the low. We will wager whether you die now, or die later." Samuel wished that he'd prepared the Word of Command, but he'd not thought he'd have to face off against a sorcerer today, everything had gotten out of hand so quickly. He was sure the heathen sorcerer had some kind of trick up his sleeve but there was little to be done about it. He'd need to rely on his truthsense for now. "If you win you may take one prisoner with you, I will give you one hour to run. Or of course you could try to test us in a different way." Samuel said, stroking the hilt of his sword, an eager gleam in his eye.- 31 replies

In the interests of scientific accuracy I'd strongly recommend you look up something called the square-cube law before creating any giant animals. Simply put the issues that arise are numerous, from cooling to simply supporting their weight.

From memory it was one of the Inquisitors from HoA spikes that had been recovered and made into earrings, so it's unlikely to be a new metal. I think I remember it being pewter but that could just be conjecture on my part. My belief was that it held a small amount of Allomantic Steel to increase his abilities in that regards a bit, although given how rarely he wears it I doubt it would significantly improve much of anything.

Most allomantic/Hemalurgic metals are non-magnetic. Pretty much just Iron. Plus Ironpulling > magnets.

A couple of things to note quickly, Duralumin works both ways, I think there was some form of canon whether direct WoB or something from the MAG I don't remember I'll try to dig it up. But the point is that if you completely fill it, people might not notice you very much but you'd also have absolutely no connection to that person, they might as well be a door as far as you're concerned, so rather than sneaking past a guard you'd be more likely to just stab them to get past. Similarly when tapping it you become just as fond of the other person as they would of you which makes forming friendships purely for manipulation difficult. On this: I believe this is due to the body's limits, not Feruchemical limits. If you store too much speed you'll die from to little oxygen, too much strength and your body would crush itself, too much health and you'd just die. Sazed can store all his weight just fine for example. I think Connection would be able to be completely stored.

I'm the same, although with the addition of Fabrials, I like the more scientific magic systems.

Thought I'd get the MEE attack moving again. Joe I'm not sure what you want to do with Big Al, did you still want to write him or is he Edge's now?

Refill walked steadily through Thoughttown, holding an upside-down glass which continued to pour a clear liquid. Pure Ethanol, the smell still burned Refills nostrils, even after years working in a bar. This night he would show Altermind, and all Epics like him. He would teach them not to judge an Epic just by the apparent usefulness of their powers. Tonight he would show them in a blaze of fire. He'd stolen one of the uniforms off a deceased guard, one that had the least amount of blood and bullet holes in it. One guard had stopped him to ask where he was posted, luckily no one else had been around to notice the spray of blood from the guards mouth as Refill touched his neck, increasing the levels of blood in his veins until they burst. As he rounded a corner he noticed a man in a lab coat ahead of him. A memory from the intel reports they'd cobbled together surfaced, a man like this was sometimes seen around Altermind, it seemed likely that he was an Epic of some sort, although no one knew what his abilities were. Refill grinned, time to thin out Thought Towns numbers a bit.

It's just an old forum tradition that the really nice members of the forum welcome people with cookies while all the mean members offer inferior products like zucchini.

1-Nope, 2-Nope, 3- Yes! How did you know!? Yeah I meant relative to earth. The first and third are both pretty well known, the second less so.

I do kind of doubt Upgrade would just be allowed to wander given how important but also fragile he is. On another note all of this red text is kind of reminding me of umineko-no-naku-koro-ni if anyone's watched/played it.

Voidus nodded, letting the Stranger take the lead. Getting involved in research again was exciting, he'd been far too involved in sales lately. Perhaps he should devote more time to his research, it was after all why he'd entered the Dark Alleys in the first place. "She's certainly an interesting subject." He said. "We'll need to be careful to balance any new spikes, I don't want to risk damaging the abilities she's gained. They're so... different from the others." Koloss, Kandra, even their latest experiments in Zoohemalurgy, nothing had managed to produce anything quite like Winter. "We may need to up the security here too, the rest of her Pack is undoubtedly going to attempt some kind of rescue, I doubt she'd go along with it, she came here willingly enough after all. But I do hate having strangers here in the alley." Voidus gave a little chuckle "No offense." He said to the Stranger.

Well ok. If it will prevent Calamity from destroying the earth I'll continue devoting unhealthy amounts of time to creating supervillains.

*hugs* I've been there before, nothing to beat yourself up about. If you can find the energy I usually find a good book is absorbing enough to take your mind off of it for a while. -
Eris, Pluto, Makemake, Haumea(sp?) In that order I think List the three brightest stars (Excluding the sun) Or more if you want, I'm never sure what's a reasonable number
