  1. Oh I see, I was thinking more a hollow dome, not a sphere of completely frozen air, so it would block any projectiles coming but inside the air would still flow freely, but then of course he could just blow her up from the inside, so she could block that too by targeting her body but then couldn't use her powers on anything else and she'd be frozen in place for a few hours until she needed to refill the dome with air. She could still put herself into a bubble at the same time, although that might do some weird things I'd have to think about, her powers are weird. I might need to go over her doc again actually, I spent ages trying to work out all of these problems but I'm still not sure on some of them. I originally had the reference frame as just the earth but then I hit the issue that if she tried to freeze herself or someone else their heart would stop so I had to use her but it's still pretty complicated.
  2. Always happy to help completely OP Epics be more OP through ruthless analysis of their powers If you want him to be evn more OP then technically his spatial perception would be applied to every particle so he'd know the pulse of everyone around him and could do a kind of Red-like lie detection thing. She'd probably try to run too, certainly as she is now she wouldn't consider fighting, she definitely doesn't think of herself as a High Epic. Not sure why there'd need to be a ventilation system for her to breath? I feel like I'm missing something. It works on living things as much as anything else, but since it uses her body as a reference frame she doesn't kill herself as long as she freezes her entire body evenly, same if she moves momentum to or from another person, if she does it to their body as a whole it'll map to her body, if she moves it to a part of their body then it doesn't turn out very well for that body part since its momentum is still mapped to her body as a whole, not the corresponding body part. That's just an application of his pressure power though right? So it wouldn't help him adjust to a rapidly shifting frame of reference. (For example just because you can see doesn't mean you'd be able to spot a single coin while moving at 60km/h very easily)
  3. Ah, ok I just assumed it was atmospheric pressure. You're right pressure exists in any medium, you can't really have pressure in a true vacuum since you need some kind of particles though. Just so you know he wouldn't need to have an air pocket to escape then, he could apply pressure to the material directly even without a surface, all you need is the presence of atoms for pressure to exist. Which also largely removes the time constraint of blasting out of a 1km thick material. It's been a while since I did the research for her but if she erected a dome of immovable air around herself she'd still be able to survive for several hours without needing an air hole, during which the fight would probably be decided one way or another. I wasn't suggesting it could do any serious damage, although technically she actually might be able to, she can just stop people's hearts from beating or brains from working, it'd be insanely difficult because of how her powers work but it's technically possible, but then he has similar abilities so if he realized quickly enough he might be able to restart them anyway. I meant more the problems with orientation, sure you could adapt but there are limits, particularly with the interplay of their powers since as you mentioned he'd probably just instinctively oppose the motion. So it's likely go: Shoot 500m left, stop self, momentum is shifted to something else, own power shoots 500m right, remove power, leftwards momentum is applied again. No matter how practiced at it you are that's going to be disorienting without adding in an additional passive of enhanced spatial awareness or something like that.
  4. Welcome to the insanity of the 17th Shard! Would you care for a welcome-to-the-forums-cookie?
  5. Also if his ears were fluffy
  6. WOOOOOOOOOO! Well Healing's a perfect PI, though not as perfect as perhaps resurrection is since you can still be trapped forever. I am curious as to how you plan on working on it though without any way to discover his weakness.
  7. I'm also usually in pajamas, mostly because it's usually around midnight-4am when I'm on
  8. Space doesn't have any air for him to create pressure from though? In addition to the whole suffocation and navigation problems. Same problem with the stone, the little air inside even if pressurized immensely couldn't penetrate through that much stone, plus again suffocation problems. How would a couple of coins immobilize her? Even if they did she's not likely to just let him walk up and suffocate her. She'd use it on her lungs (Well her whole body, but that includes her lungs) not the air inside them, he could suffocate her by removing all the air from her lungs though if he knew enough about her abilities I suppose. I doubt that simply being used to it allows perfect concentration for elaborate plans of attack while being flung around at several hundred miles per hour, plus given his range it's likely he'd get thrown out of it pretty quickly.
  9. Partly because the phrase 'and then Nighthound died' has reached meme status, mostly though it's just because he's a massive Slontze.
  10. You forgot the most anticipated of all Nighthound/Death
  11. Just realized something, we have a little over a week to get through all the action sequences so that VG and Big Al can have an adorawesome date for Valentines day.
  12. Obviously it's Joe's character but I think I can answer that: No she can't animate dead bodies. Very little/ No free will, however they are capable of relatively complex tasks.
  13. I see what you did there.
  14. I was thinking just teleporting him into space. But you wouldn't need to enclose him completely like that, even if he can use his powers, 1km thick stone wouldn't break. If he could move that kind of material he'd be able to break through the crust into the earths core, which just seems a bit improbable for the Reckonerverse MVs power would just keep her net momentum at 0 so no velocity would be imparted to any part of her body and no damage would be done, the force wouldn't be cancelled it would still push on her it would just be unable to accelerate her at all. Not sure what you mean by the objects would keep energy in them? Blocking all of her air would be pretty difficult without advanced planning, it's possible I suppose, just unlikely. And she can do her matrix thing, if she gets shot with multiple projectiles she can just freeze the air in front of her so it blocks projectiles instead of blocking each one as they come. Plus she'd be reflecting all that momentum back at him so he'd be a bit disoriented at being battered around like that I'd imagine.
  15. On the teleporters that's just a way to attack them, not really a fool-proof solution. Any teleporter who knows that could walk up to him to teleport him, and the second he started crushing them they could just teleport away, so I can see that maybe he could stalemate them a bit too but they have the mobility advantage so I don't know. 1km is his listed range, which isn't that huge really, granted for such a strong offensive power it's pretty big but Regalia's range is dozens of times longer. That's a good point on the twins though, I almost forgot they moved to the Dalles If he surprised her he might be able to burst her lungs but MV isn't limited in how much momentum she can move, if she applies her power to herself she'd be able to shift any amount of pressure he could apply back to him. He could probably kill Impact since she has an upper limit to how much force she can apply. Same problem with throwing objects at them, MV can just make herself essentially indestructible and then it doesn't matter how much stuff gets thrown at her.
  16. Hi welcome to the seventeenth Shard! Would you care for a welcome-cookie? I don't know if we have direct confirmation that it's Hoid but I think that at the least it'w widely believed to be him. Have you read anything other than Stormlight?
  17. It does but I don't think we've ever seen any examples of a completely filled Metalmind. I think part of the reason Sazed did that with his copperminds was for organisational reasons although I could be wrong.
  18. This is the only bio I have for Toymaker, it's not very detailed though. I might ask Joe to put up another one in the EoO thread since she doesn't seem to be there in his list.
  19. Have you changed the Metals powerset Edge? I mean he's pretty cool and all but I don't know that he could exactly curbstomp Portland, he'd stalemate CM but any teleporter could take him out, same with Lucentia trapping him, PP could do the same, albeit with more concentration and difficulty, the twins pretty nicely cancel his powers out, there's definitely some interesting fights they're but not unwinnable on the side of the Portlanders. Altermind however would be pretty well useless given that his invisibility wouldn't work.
  20. Lightwards vs. Panda could be interesting for an army battle too I think, biological alteration vs. resurrection. Yeah I don't think there would be anyone still alive within a 100 mile radius after Obliteration and Mobius went at it, so no one would actually know the victor. And if there were any survivors they'd probably be resigned to shuddering in the fetal position for the rest of their lives and not very helpful.
  21. I'd be betting on Slaughterhouse(Because he's just a tad OP), Funtimes(Because she's awesome), the Twins if they could fight together, Newton if they couldn't and Mobius because she's a terrifying incarnation of horror.
  22. It has been a quiet couple of days hasn't it? Steelheart vs. Nighthound, Regalia vs. Nighthound, Nightwielder vs. Nighthound, Prof. vs. Nighthound, anyone who can kill him vs. Nighthound.

Why do you say Vin's earring was at near full-power? In terms of granting pewter I'm not particularly convinced, I think it's likely one of the physical Allomantic metals but I wouldn't say it was necessarily pewter.
  24. If she is I think she's going to have to have absolutely 0 combat abilities or be incapable of fighting or using her powers for some reason. Because if she had powers and didn't use them during the fight with Steelheart when everyone she knew was moments from dying then she's a horrible person. EDIT: Actually, sudden thought hasn't she been gifted Conflux's powers during that fight to power the copter she was in? So she can't be an Epic.
  25. New lurkers have been added to the list of Dark Alley Denziens.
