  1. You go first, it's 6:30 AM here and I haven't slept since yesterday morning/night (I have a weird sleep schedule) so my writing would probably consist of: 'The people went to the place, then a thing happened.'
  2. I'm just not sure how well an entire city can keep a low profile, something like Koschei's getting killed by a Vanilla would have spread pretty quickly I imagine, look at what happened in Newcago after Steelheart died. Which come to think of it is kind of a good example of what the Dalles might have been able to expect, Epics invading every now and then but more bent on finding the person who killed Koschei than taking over the city.
  3. Hope it goes better than this with you, I'm on Lexapro at the moment after trying pretty much every Antidepressant available it seems to work the best, I don't experience much in the way of side effects, some headaches, weird sleeping patterns but that's about it. I would like to announce that I just finished my tenth read through of Alloy of Law.
  4. Ok well my first popular wasn't what I thought it was, I think I actually got another post popular first time wise, but this is my earliest post which later became popular.
  5. Darn, I just found it too I'm now going through all of my early posts to find my earliest popular post, man there's some funny stuff in there if I do say so myself Such as my spren idea:
  6. *Searches through old posts to find pun*
  7. Well Koschei's reputation might have put a few off, and against the whole city anyone without a PI wouldn't stand much of a chance and anyone with a PI would need to kill a significant portion of the population to conquer the city. As was mentioned in Steelheart Epics need people to be alive, they want to rule people, not slaughter them. (With a few exceptions who will not be named... *mumbledcough*Obliteration)
  8. Yeah I just checked it too, that monkey sure does work in mysterious ways. I think my first popular post was just a random Mistborn joke, got over 20 upvotes I think. </shameless bragging>
  9. Didn't Scorch's death post get popular?
  10. Well I do personally enjoy the more scientific forms of Investiture rather than Surgbinding, Allomancy or Awakening but having eestablished my 17s persona so strongly in the DA I feel it would be too weird to be in this guild as a character but I might pop in from time to time with OOC comments. Problem being that it would probably require a specific bindpoint to block a specific spike, so not only would you need incredible accuracy in the midst of a fight in order to accurately hit the bindpoint you might also need to know specifically what spike they have, what it stole, and where it's placed and then ascertain how to block that spike. Perhaps one of the God metals could act as a universal anti-hemalurgy spike but even then you'd still need to precisely hit a bindpoint in the midst of combat. Just ripping the spike out would be easier.
  11. I knew there was a reason I've been keeping Synesthesia alive. She may need to find her way to Tillamook in the near future. Also just because his profile would not be complete without it:
  12. I've also decided that Cheddar Chancellor goes around dressed as Chancellor Palpatine, hence why I gave him lightning powers That would be greatly amusing If only there were a couple who specialized in Epic technology and could upgrade his weapons in some way
  13. I'd also recommend Elantris, as his first book the writting's not quite as good as Mistborn or Stormlight but it's still an awesome book and it was the first of his works that I read so I'm a bit sentimental about it I suppose Anyway welcome to the forums!
  14. Well if you insist Cheddar Chancellor Primary:Chemo-Electrical conversion - Has electric bolt capabilities however the strength of his blasts is in proportion to how much he's eaten. Swiss cheese- Can also use his internal chemical energy to fire a spray of electrical bullets, peppering his target with holes. Secondary: Passive: Enhanced senses- Cheddar Chancellors senses, specifically his sense of taste and smell are far above that of Vanillas, allowing him to track both person and cheese alike. Passive: Coating- Can turn his skin into a waxy coating and pull it off, resulting in complete healing of his wounds.
  15. I like that idea, it will help with my filling them with Epics which I shall do since you just insisted so much.
  16. I have vowed to myself that I won't shave for the next 40 years just so I can cosplay as Dumbledore with an authentic beard someday.
  17. I'd love to help contribute but unfortunately given that I don't live in the same country, or heck even the same continent, I don't have much to contribute on Oregon geography.
  18. On the population thing, Astoria has a stable leader in Lucentia and a group of fairly insanely strong Epics so at least the risk of turf wars was less (Well, until WHIA anyway ) The Dalles would have attracted a lot of idealists once they set up a human government so I can see that being pretty populous too. EDIT: Whoops, double post.
  19. What's that? You need to fill those cities with Epics? Well if you guys all insist so much then I guess I'll just have to step up. I'll be back in a month or so with bleary eyes, a stack of Epics and a strong aversion to sunlight.
  20. The days where having a thousand reputation put you in the uppermost echelons of the 17th Shard, second only to the unbeatable Brandon Sanderson.
  21. A time when I was quite comfortable going to sleep without repeating the phrase 'And then Nighthound died' at least 20 times followed by an imagined topiary burning.
  22. I remember a time when I almost never used the phrase 'Epic ponification'. I know it's hard for us to believe now but of course it was once true.
  23. Sorry for the double post, edit button's not working for some reason. Because my laptop hates me I guess. Hey Mailliw, I was thinking maybe Edgerunner and Scribbler could spot MV and Elsa and investigate it if you still want something for them to do.
  24. Welcome to the craziest, politest, most spike-filled place on the internet. Would you care for a cookie? Woo! I'm from Aus too, where do ye hail from?
