Seriously disappointing even going in with very low hopes. Plenty of one-man youtube channels with better effects (And come to that, better acting too)

Welcome to the madness, hope you enjoy your stay

To restate it quickly, since Frostfire is an energy Epic, not a force-manipulating Epic he can't use that trick anyway. When you push against something a normal force can be created from the object but that doesn't involve any extra energy, the two forces simply cancel, nothing's moving which is what Kinetic energy is. There are ways for him to create a limitless amount of energy but that's not one of them.

Welcome to the 17th Shard! Many of Brandon's books are connected, they exist in the 'cosmere', the universe where they take place. There's a recurring character who's in a lot of these books, there are other Shards than Ruin and Preservation and a few characters who travel between worlds with as yet unknown methods. My personal recommendation for reading would be Elantris>Warbreaker>Alloy of Law>Way of Kings> Words of Radiance>Emperor's Soul. There are some more books planned in the time of Alloy of Law as well as a second trilogy of books set on the Mistborn world (Scadrial) during modern times and then a third trilogy that will be a sort of sci-fi.

Welcome to the 17th Shard, where insanity and genius abound in equal prevalence! Would you care for a cookie?

I was looking over some of my old posts and found this thread again. Which means... time for two year old topic Necroing! Alley-spren: Appear whenever someone has been Hemalurgically spiked.

Consider it on its way then More and more I regret not giving Neverthere a secondary that would at least allow her to put a ribbon around its neck as she rides. But I do like having her as just a random character who will pop up throughout the RP, dispensing advice and riding dinosaurs.

Well the only Epic I have from the MEE who'd be just wandering around there would be Neverthere. And she'd be more likely to ride it than try to find some imaginative way to kill it. Yeah Frostfire's powerset has him listed as an energy manipulator, not a force manipulator, so he wouldn't actually be able to do Newtons trick at all to my knowledge.

Finished Metronome pony: Sounds good then, although if he is himself able to use that many powers it raises some balance issues, that is quite a few abilities for one Epic to possess not too far outside what we've seen but still quite a few. Metronome shall never be killed by any Epic! He shall reign supreme over the wreckage of Oregon! If you want some powerset ideas I have an ever-growing google doc full of them, although it may be in need of a cleanup so some may be taken but not noted as taken yet. Feel free to change names/incorporate more powers they're just base ideas really.

Epic name: Metronome Primary power: Chronoperception- Metronome can tell the time with complete precision and also calculate the exact length of time needed for a given event to occur. MO: Metronome spends his time trying to convince anyone that will listen that he is actually an Epic and not just a random Vanilla with a weird talent.

Well if you've got time to prepare the battlefield ahead of time rather than caltrops I'd go with some taught steel wire place at knee height around the place. If they're quick enough not to run into it then you've stopped them potentially long enough to get off a shot, if they're not quick enough they'd slice their own legs off due to the speed they're travelling. Otherwise the good ole pitfall trap of Pokemon fame would always be a favourite of mine Bloodmakers are a problem, particularly Compounders but then I don't think Hazekillers would fare particularly well against a lot of different types of Compounders. For the regular variety just causing enough damage would do the trick, which wouldn't be too difficult as long as they're not a twinborn. Machine gun fire, grenades, a harpoon gun would probably work pretty well too. Other than that plenty of weapons designed for trapping rather than killing should work, Bolas for example.

Cross Clan/Guild Common Rooms
Voidus replied to Surgebound Rainspren's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
"Cyanide!? Who do you think we are! We wouldn't kill people at a party! At least not without spiking their spiritweb out first." -
Couple of points: -No Gifter is known in Canon that can't themselves use the abilities they gift. Firefight spoilers- -Mitosis' power is stated to be unique to him (Given the lower limit it's possible this could go unnoticed just thought I'd mention it) -Anything involving being able to use other Epics powers has the potential to become pretty insanely OP even with the mentioned limitations. They do all look pretty cool though.

We could have him meet Metronome somewhere in the Dalles, trying desperately to convince the city guard that his power is not just a weird talent but an Epic power.

Although they're completely opposite in their reactions to their power. Backtrack continually cowering and thinking how useless it is. Metronome challenging High Epics to duels while proclaiming his awesome powers.

The MEE is currently in Portland but will be branching out soon probably (By which I mean all members still in Portland will soon be slaughtered ) The League of Shadows itself is currently no where in particular so they can be wherever people need them to be. Shadowstep is already taken, I think someone might have wanted Flicker for some backstory but I don't remember who. Nightshade and Midnight Tears are both unclaimed (Feel free to update their names/powerset however you want)

League of Shadows: Shadowstep: Shadow merging passive ability, merges into any shadows he comes into contact with, allowing instant travel across a shadow or seeming invisibility while hiding in the shadow. Former member, currently in the MEE. Flicker: Can teleport only while in shadows, can also produce an EMP which temporarily shorts out electronics. Nightshade: Can ‘pull’ an object or beings shadow from the ground causing it to become a 3 dimensional object capable of everything the possessor of the shadow is capable of (Excluding Epic abilities), living shadows will obey orders given by Nightshade Midnight Tears: Can suck all light from a room, becomes completely intangible when in darkness however can solidify parts of his body at will however any parts of his body that become solid while still in darkness slowly exude a thick black liquid. Typically gouges out his victims eyes to kill them, leaving his signature ‘black tears’ on the corpse. DarkQuake: Can cause any shadows to become a solid surface and also capable of sending ripples or vibrations through that surface. Twilight spark: Technically an energy Epic however his energy constructs draw in light from around them, capable of creating replicas of living beings which can act with a degree of free will but will obey any of his mental commands. Eclipse: Illusionist who creates a bright halo around himself, but shrouds his body itself in darkness. The halo is bright enough to blind anyone looking directly at it. Halflight was also in it but he just got killed

I have a group of Shadow Epics if you'd like some backstory for him/some shadow manipulating underlings to enter Astoria with him. With all of these hard-hitters entering Astoria I may have to introduce one of my most powerful Epics yet to keep up. That's right, you may have heard of him you may not have but the all-powerful Metronome will be entering Astoria!
