No I'm not, I'm pointing out the issue with your reply then suggesting alternatives in addition to the original claim. The body does also have a caloric storage method, but I am inclined to agree that this one example at least does seem not to conform to that idea, hence why I keep suggesting alternatives. And given that your very first reply started with misunderstanding what I said I don't think I'd be entirely unfounded even if that was what I was doing.

Velocity is not the same as acceleration, bullets in flight don't have force, they exert a force when they collide with something but so does the thing the collide with. 300N is just not a good way to describe a bullets motion or difficulty in stopping. I don't believe it's preposterously pedantic, 300N is a completely meaningless and misleading figure.

The other probably more likely possibility is that as was mentioned earlier it simply stores the contraction speed of fast twitch muscle fibres, which are anaerobic anyway so oxygen isn't required, and the energy comes from when storage takes place.

Why didn't UV from the sun pierce Nightwielders darkness over Newcago when Davids UV flashlight could cut his shadow tendril things? Is there any link between the powers Epics have and their former lives? Did Conflux overcome his weakness? Once an Epics weakness has been overcome is their any way to cancel their powers?

Assuming they were given the ability to be an Awakener then infinite breaths I would assume. It could potentially be made to act like Stormlight, since the reverse is possible. Yes Stormlight can be used to fuel Nightblood, we actually have direct WoB on that one. Have you finished Words of Radiance? Condensing it into a burnable metal might be possible but I doubt that an Allomancer could burn it without doing certain tricks. Hemalurgy would probably be possible.

I was somewhat using hyperbole, but yes you're right, what I was referring to was the speeding of metabolic processes so that the ATP breaks down faster, releasing more useful energy. Alternatively it does just store the energy released by these breakdown processes, so when you're storing your body is breaking down more ATP than is needed for bodily processes and some of the released energy is stored in the metalmind. On why it doesn't speed up thoughts, firstly I would say that we don't know that it doesn't, secondly in the cosmere there is likely a realmatic explanation for this, Steel only speeds up the physical aspects not the cognitive, so perhaps your reflexes would be faster (Nerve impulses travelling faster) but thoughts themselves fall into a different realm. Healing is interesting, there's the point that perhaps you actually do but people wouldn't often tap enough speed to notice it, healing needs to be compounded hundreds if not thousands of times to be visibly obvious.

Assuming that it speeds up your entire body I imagine that oxygenation would also speed up as you'd be breathing faster and your blood would circulate that oxygen faster, as for energy I assume it just extends to a molecular level, accelerating the rate at which your body creates energy. The increased wear I imagine falls under the blanket protection feruchemy offers to being harmed by it's effects.

New Adventurer post is up, whereby the Adventurer gets a weapon.

The Adventurer shifted through yet another door. Hopefully there's something useful in this one. He'd had to skip the last three houses because he could sense people still inside, the last house he'd entered that still had NPCs in it had been a very bad experience. It seemed that they got really aggressive if you interrupted them during a meal. He'd devoted the information to memory, thinking that perhaps sneaking might avoid the problem but for now entering empty houses would be easier. He picked up a vase on a pedestal that had been positioned near the door. Surely there'll be something in here. He mused to himself, smashing the vase on the floor. Nothing. Well better check the cupboards I guess. He walked through the house, opening drawers and cupboards, finding little of value. Finally he entered the bedroom, he found a journal on a vanity table which he quickly flicked through, hoping it might start a quest or something. Nope. Nothing. Unless I'm supposed to help her get back together with her husband or something? Eh, they never give good rewards anyway, it'd probably just be an affection boost and a couple of bucks. Well I'd better hold onto it anyway, might need it later. He pocketed the journal and headed towards the cupboard, opening it he found something finally, a rifle lay nestled in a corner, a box of ammunition lying next to it. "Woo! Jackpot! Finally got a weapon." He took out his 9mm and threw it into the cupboard, swapping his empty old weapons for the new rifle. He took a careful look at it but couldn't find any new information. "Oh man, don't tell me they've put in an item identification feature or something? I hate those!" Walking back to the front door he shifted back out onto the streets, he held the rifle gingerly and sighted down the barrel. Well at least I can still wield it. He thought to himself. He took careful aim at a nearby man, walking down the street with a weapon of his own. Well better check what the combat system is like. He pulled the trigger, the man collapsed instantly as a bullet lodged in the back of his head. "Huh. Nice aiming on this thing, crosshair would be nice though." Shouldering the rifle he walked calmly down the street as people screamed and ran around him.

Well my only thoughts are that the only thing we've actually seen Calamity do is create new Epics and glow pretty colours and have wings, he hasn't actually done anything supernatural himself that we know of. For a whole year he didn't even do anything, just kind of floated there. What if someone then found Dawnslight and thought of the possibility of a connection and asked to be made into an Epic?

I am feeling an odd compulsion to boot up Dwarf Fortress again...
