Either works for me, I do like the potential of a gifter in jail. I'll have a look through my Epics to see if I can find someone suitable.
-
What about Edge's idea of having them be out of town on a mission? I can just introduce them as a newcomer to the Dalles but there have already been a lot of new arrivals today.
-
I had a plan for that a while ago actually but I think someone used the Epic I had planned for it elsewhere, not sure if it'd really be ok to put a gifter into the Dalles who hasn't been mentioned at all though.
-
Whats that? You need a bunch of Epics to fill a new special ops unit? Well if you insist.
-
Works for me. Bioterror would cryptically reply with "A few" but that's not really long enough to justify a post.

He's being helped by Cableguy: Can repair any tv within a 100 mile radius.

Yeah I made one a few threads ago:

Metronome wouldn't refer to himself as the most powerful in Oregon, he'd refer to himself as the most powerful IN THE WORLD!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
-
If all of my Epics were real? I'd insist they rock-paper-scisored for the right. By the time they'd all finished I'd be dead from old age

We do already know when Steelheart takes place, we even have a timeline of our own.

Welcome to the forums, excellent name for earning some fantasy cred btw Can I interest you in a welcome cookie?

Well yes and no, she's got some pretty good potential for destruction, especially if when she spills things out they have much force, having a helicopter or tank thrown at you is pretty damaging after all. But even if not she could flood an entire street without much difficulty, which while not necessarily damaging is certainly going to make fighting her difficult. Especially since she could then reabsorb that water and then spit it out again to make recurring waves crashing around her.

What about a politician? Or a lawyer? A politicians lawyer? And he kicked a cat that was cuddling a pug.
-
Would it make them feel better if he had a stupid name? Like Captain phone-face?
-
I think I talked to Edge about this a while ago but it seems like there are two types of Epic tech, those with motivators like the Spyrill and Oblitibomb and another type that's just been enhanced somehow by studying how Epic powers work, like Gravitonics and the mobiles that work through solid steel. Since I doubt an Epic with radio capabilities was chopped up into seven million pieces to make phones for everyone in Newcago.

So I asked a while ago but just to double check, does anyone have anything to do in Portland before I timeskip to the MoNA attack? It'll probably be the last thing before we jump to morning.
-
Upvotes I can only think of Timeport and Reader off the top of my head, who are the others?
-
And then Metronome became the greatest force for good ever know... "EVERYONE! IT IS VITAL THAT YOU ALL KNOW!!! It is now 10:45. No need to thank me, I am off to save another city" *Makes whooshing nois*

Well I suppose he does get logical with all characters and Nighthounds the only one who's a creepy Slontze. Alright then, motion carried
-
Does that mean Edge goes gooey eyed for the abstract concept of creepy slontzeness?
-
That's actually what made me think he might have had a power absorbing ability, he planned on stealing Steelhearts powers to become more powerful.

It's not like I was just looking for an excuse to make up more Epics or anything.
-
I think Quota is pretty much exactly what Brandon was describing, more subtle if anything since he can only affect general emotional states. As for having trouble with Epics he did say that was only generally the case so I guess I'll just have to make a bunch more mind controllers who do have that limitation.
-
Works for me, just let Bioterror know there'll be an interview of some kind tomorrow (Probably the kind of interview involving needless slaugthter) and he's good for the night.
-
I doubt he could overpower someone as strong as Steelheart but it at least makes more sense than just trying to kill him another way when your first option that should have annihilated the flesh from his bones failed.
